    Default Wizards Spectacles Chronology

How come this story is always listed as taking place in 127 AC? It seems to take place somewhere around the WOTL

If the Prologue or first chapter is in 127 AC, then the book will be listed as 127 AC. Even if everything after that is at some future date.

Before the Mask is like that. Its listed as 313 AC but I think most of the story takes place around 330 AC.

Not the case here, story takes place during the same time period the entire time.

The original chronology in Dragon Magazine #224 placed it there. I agree it seems strange to place it so early. That said, it is a silly story that surely never “happened”. I believe Weldon’s solution was to make it in-world fiction, an older story about a dark elf who wasn’t Dalamar (perhaps Feal-Thas) and just later came to be identified with him.

Thank you, just seemed odd because it definitely seemed to author was shooting for right before the Wotl or possibly after since Dalamar to his test after the wotl.
