"Gobs, come back to the main hallway. We found a way through, and a way to stop traps. Come back the way you came and make a......right. Come back and go the way of the lady gob's axe hand. We found something magical!" There was another button within reach. Perhaps, if he pushed it, they would stop the possible traps from poking them full of bloody holes? He had to try. Sparkskar reached out to push the button and winced as his finger touched down.

Gobs responded to Sparky mentally. "We found tracks, and a torch-lit chamber! And tracks of our enemy!" Gobs wanted to track down this enemy, kill it, and feed it to Gorvgo. He wanted his healer to come back up his antics with healing. He wanted his fire caster to come cast fire! "Bubbisa, Gorvgo, will you follow me after our foe? Or do you want a safe exit to these dungeons?" Gobs," and here the alchemist paused to point thumbs at himself, "he wants to kill the enemy, not be safe. Safe is for others, not chiefs." Gobs swaggered towards the northern corridor. Bubbisa had noticed trapped tiles on the floor and nozzles on the ceiling. Walking carefully, Gobs watched for the trapped tiles, easily noticing the nozzles now that he knew to look. He wanted that enemy dead.

Bubissa wanted to kill this trickster too. "Me follow. Me want tricky thing dead so it no trick us anymore." She moved behind Gobs and put a hand on his shoulder. She pointed and whispered in his ear. "Look at top wall, look like dart might shoot out of tubes. And those tiles look like trigger. Maybe you disarm?" She wasn't sure if Gobs saw it or not so she made sure to point it all out to him. "Get rid of traps and the we kill, kill ,kill!" She giggled with glee.

Gorvgo was thinking about pickles and mumbling to his skull when he heard Gobs start talking. Girvgo make chief decisions? Hmm. He was appointed the wise advisor… Yes! As he sat thinking of a chiefly thing to say, Bubbisa said it all perfectly. Yes kill!
"Me with yous Bubbisa! And you Gobs! Gorvgo promises no more eating you when dying!"
Though it would be hard, Gobs was oh so tasty, Gorvgo would keep to his word,
"By the Great and Insatiable Mother Venklevore me swears it!"

Ooc. Gorvgo will draw his spiked chain and move up behind Bubissa and Gobs

Gobs nodded at her advice, locating the tile triggers and studying them carefully. "This take a minute. No darts, Bubbisa. Look at floor. Discolored pitting. Nozzles are for acid." Gobs removed several tools from his pouch, approaching the first tile with care. He continued talking to Bubbisa and Gobs as he worked. "Tiles are trigger for sprayer in walls. Nozzles set for wide disbursement to cover all hallway in light mist." He turned to look at both gobs behind him. "Maximum coverage, maximum pain, minimal liquid. Low amount of liquid means it sprays out faster and is more concentrated faster." Gobs looked back at his handiwork, where he had used the tools to slightly lever up the first trigger tile. He carefully slid shims into the tiny crack he had created, further widening it. "Traps Primer. This easy stuff." Gobs rapped his knuckles on the now-disabled trigger tile. No trap fired acid into the hall. Gobs grinned and began moving towards the next trigger in line.

Bubissa watched Gobs, mentally taking notes of what he did. If Gobs got himself killed someone else would have to do his job and right now Bubissa didn't trust anyone else but herself. She waited a moment to see if the trap would spring but didn't so followed behind Gobs. "You do well Gobs! Keep going, you can do it and soon the blood of our enemy will rain!"

Gobs rapped his knuckles on the now-disabled trigger tile. No trap fired acid into the hall. Gobs grinned and began moving towards the next trigger in line.
"You do well Gobs! Keep going, you can do it and soon the blood of our enemy will rain!" Bubbisa hailed Gobs. The trapmaster and Alchemist of the Brambleclaws moved carefully to the next tile and once again set to work. This time, he took care to mention to Bubbisa what tools he used and why, selecting them and showcasing them carefully, so she could see what he used where. Gobs enjoyed the attention, as well as teaching another gob the craft of traps.
Moving to the last tile, once satisfied with his second disabling attempt, Gobs set to work, familiar now with the mechanism he was working on and how to shut it down. He slid the last of his shims into the disabled tile, stood, and proudly jumped right on top of the last tile. Nothing happened and the grinning Gobs whooped joyfully. "Bubbisa, it time. Let us kill enemy!" Gobs strode into the room with the torch. And stopped.

"Sparky, me think you need to see this!" Gobs stared at the torch. It was limned in the black-purple flames he was beginning to know all too well. But the head of the torch itself appeared as flames, jagged edges of orange and yellow and red. It was goblin-sized, and it sat in a sconce of tarnished black silver.

Gobs disable device checks d20(11,14)+10=21,24, successes both. Took all of three more rounds to clear them. Total of 5 rounds to disable and move into room. Sparky and Strieg, I am assuming that some of this time you two are moving into the back room, and some of the time will be taken up by your next couple of actions (choosing which secret door to open first, examining magical auras within the holes to see what they might do, etc) I'm trying to keep you all together, time frame-wise. Plus, it looks like a new encounter is imminent. Also assumed Bubbisa and Gorvgo were following along behind Gobs as he cleared the traps. Git some gobbies!

Gorvgo munched on pickled spiders and fingers as he watched the goblin do his work. He was impressed to be sure. When they finally reached the room Gorvgo stared in wonder at the torch.
He pushed the others out the way. "me can tells u about this!"

Gorvgo stood up straighter and pulled out Rabbi Hug. He cleared his throat and began to pontificate.
He will ramble about the ancient kingdom of zog and explain this is Zarongels Torch
"Great chiefs used this. Cause burny hands and good for spell casty types. Too bad fire gobs and blue skin is dead."
Gorvgo hung his head at this thought. Then eyed the scepter.
Maybe it could be his? No. He did not want to be big chiefses. Though he cod gain respect and friends for the Lady Venklevore if he helped Bubissa. She was one to be followed and reckoned with.
"Bubissa," he declared with a bow "I will always be forever loyal to my lady Venklevore, but for you; I will give you my obedience. You deserve to be big chiefs. I will get the sceptor for you to rule with!"
And with that he will run to get the sceptor.

Ooc. It is Zarongels torch. (Brandon told me from my knowledge checks. Its in the other board)
Gorvgo will move to sceptor and grab it from pedestal unless stopped before he can make it through the doorway…

"Me can tells u about this!" chimed in Gorvgo. He began rambling about the Kingdom and the Torch before the three gobs, several times pausing to "listen to Rabbi Hug's counsel" as Bubbisa and Gobs were learning about the crazed priest. "This Zarongel's Torch! Ancient Kingdom of Zog saw many gifts and tools from the Hero-Gods. This one of them! Sacred to gobbies, especially his priests. Ancient Zog had good ties to Hero-Gods. They use this as scepter of the Kingdom sometimes. Kingdom of Zog was good place to be gobbie. Me want to have Zog-times again. Soon! Great chiefs used this. Cause burny hands and good for spell casty types. Too bad fire gobs and blue skin is dead." At mention of the death of what they presumed were Sparky and Striegboirk, both Gobs and Bubbisa shook their heads and exchanged a glance, faces screwed up with confusion. Dead? What?
Gobs began to say something, but he was interrupted by Gorvgo.
"Bubissa," he declared with a bow, "I will always be forever loyal to my lady Venklevore, but for you; I will give you my obedience. You deserve to be big chiefs. I will get the scepter for you to rule with!" And that's when the once-priest of Rovagug, who found his faith in Venkelvore now, decided he would go for that scepter-torch.

Gobs was frozen for perhaps a half-second before he reacted. Shock at the brazenness of this gob, with no regard for traps at all apparently, slowed him. But not long enough for Gorvgo to get far. Gobs stepped in front pf the scrambling Gorvgo, slowing the priest in ratty robes, and shoved him back behind Bubbisa. Gobs drew his sword in a flash, leveled it at Gorvgo, and spoke in plain, deadly speech.
"Gorvgo, you take one more step. I kill you. You touch that torch before I say so, I kill you. You start to cast a spell, I kill you. You sneeze wrong in this room, I. Kill. You. Traps. EVERYWHERE, Traps! You fine. Gobs not! Gobs leave blood and seared flesh behind so far. And EAR!" Gobs briefly swung his sword at this time to point at himself before returning it to Gorvgo's chest height. "Gorvgo, you disappoint or anger me one more time today. I kill you. Stay in back. Touch nothing. Talk to skull. He like you. Me don't." Gobs glared a long moment at Gorvgo. His sword never wavered from pointing at Gorvgo's chest.

    OoC
Gobs readies an action to stab Gorvgo, with deadly force, if he does anything but back up immediately. Gobs aint playing now. He's tired of bleeding today.
Gorvgo, Know (arcana) 21, success, knows it is a powerful magic item to those of Goblin blood
Gorvgo Know (history) 26 (aided by Rabbi Hug), success, recognizes the Torch for what it is.
