Default Short Story for December 2011 (voting)

    Dear Friends:

As we have recently witnessed the Fantasy Book Club is back up and running. While this book club will focus primarily on Dragonlance books we will also explore other areas of fantasy books.

For the upcoming month of December please vote on one of the choices and throw out any future ideas for stories you want to read and discuss, whether they are Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, or other fantasy stories.

Here are your selections for December to vote on:

    1. War Chest by Kevin Stein found in Rebels and Tyrants
Description: A tale about a knight who learns that life lessons are best learned not in a classroom

    2. The First Dragonarmy Engineer's Secret Weapon by Don Perrin and Margaret Weis found in Dragons at War
Description: A story about Kang the Draconian and his band

    3. Loyalty by Richard A. Knaak found in The Search for Power
    Description: Minotaurs.......learning......adapting......minota urs

    4. Off Day by Dan Parkinson found in the Reign of Istar
Description: The small and seemingly insignificant can play a major part in history.

Just some ground rules here folks. Vote once, but make as many suggestions as you like. The more people who agree to your selection the better chance it has making the list in case of ties.

Also whatever trilogy or book series the last short story has come out of, will be excluded from the next month.

Thats all folks thanks to you for restarting the greatest of groups on this forum.

I'd like to eventually see "There's a shore, you know, on the other side."

It's on the short list for the next few months, read it last night and forgot just how interesting that story is.

probably the best story in the entire series.
Other people chronicle the setting. I chronicle the culture.

I wouldn't go that far. Its a good solid read, but the best short story of the entire series, I don't think so.
