I don't like it either, I agree it is way too much like dragonlance of the past. And isn't it The Dark Chronicles? Why not show pics of the people we don't see much. And I don't like the Flint pic at all. Way too cartoony with the big ol' head.

Since the so-called canon has been created by the fans this either will or won't affect it, depending on whether you want it to or not!

Putting a hero of the lance for the quest for the hammer of Kharas is understandable, but I sure dont want to see anymore of them =\ it would be cool to see other charactars on the 2nd and 3rd books **hint** margaret **hint**

Thats kind of harsh. This is a story that just like the original will be told from both sides point of view. From what I understand this is going to be the more behind the scenes sort of stuff. Like the finding of the hammer and Soth and Kit's relationship. Basically this story is just to fill in information. Why shouldn't the heroes be on the front? They are still the major players in the story and the original chronicles did have pictures of Kit and Raistlan who many people in Ansalon wouldn't consider to be heroes of the lance.

Well, the first book of the Dark Chronicles is the only one that story-wise necessarily puts the Heroes of the Lance in the main fore front of the book. The other two seem to be moving to a different ensemble. And who knows what sort of folks will gather for the front of the last book besides a certain black robe.

If anyone doesn't like the cover, you don't have anything to worry about. WotC will re-release many new editions of these books with new covers. Afterall, they "milked"...opps...I meant "did" that with the original Chronicles trilogy.

I am shocked. How dare Dragonhelm edit the Dark Queen's post?! HE should be flayed and tied to a rock, or maybe it was tied to a rock then flayed. Well one of those.

Or he can be tied to a rock, flayed halfway, let go, flayed the rest of the way, and then retied to the rock, which is then pushed off of a cliff.

Or we can slap his typing hand with a ruler.
A malamanteau (plural malamanteaux) is a neologism for a portmanteau created by incorrectly combining a malapropism with a neologism. It is itself a portmanteau of malapropism and portmanteau. Example: Wikipedia was absoltively screwed when they correctly demoved the malamanteau entry from their website.
