    Spells (10 PP):
Detect Conceal Arcana [PP: 2, Range: sight, Duration: 3 (1/round) or 1 hour (1/hour)]
Nathan mumbles a few words in Egyptian then taps his glasses to Detect Arcana. The presence of the supernatural is then revealed as a soft glow than can be seen only by someone wearing his glasses. To conceal an aura, Nathan speaks a different set of words and taps his pocket watch. Nathan frequently uses Conceal Arcana to disguise his own magic.

    Light/Obscure [PP: 2, Range: Smarts, Duration: 30 minutes (1/10 minutes) or 3 (1/round)]
To cast light on an area, Nathan mutters words in Egyptian then stamps his cane on the ground. The eyes of the dragon handle light up illuminating the area in red tinged light. When he wishes to disappear, Nathan speaks different words and taps the cane on the ground. Smoke then pours out of the dragon's mouth obscuring him from sight.

Smite [PP: 2, Range: Touch, Duration 3 (1/round), Effect: +2/+4 with raise]
Nathan frequently uses this spell on his sword cane. He says a few words in Egyptian and the barely visible runes on the cane flare to life with fiery light. When the blade is drawn from the sheath it shines with a silvery light, but provides no illumination.

    Gear:
Clothing (hat, coat, vest, trousers, pocket watch, shoes)
Sword Cane (Str+d4 [sheath or blade], handle is in the shape of a dragon's head)
    Derringer (2d6+1, Range 5/10/20, Rof 1, Shots 2)
    Money: $282.68

    Distinguishing Features:
Nathaniel Blackwood is a tall man, with fair skin, close-cropped black hair, and black eyes. He wears glasses to help him see at a distance and is practically blind without them. He wears a black derby and suit to match much to the amusement of his compatriots in SCID who frequently comment that he looks as if he is going to a funeral. He walks by choice with a cane of which the handle is in the shape of a silver dragon's head with red eyes. It was a gift from his mentor, Lucius Lockley. Lockely claims that he received the cane in the same manor and that when it is time for him to pass on, he must pass the cane onto his protege as well. The cane is always with Nathan and it serves as one of his main magical implements.

    Mannerisms:
Curiosity killed the cat and will probably be the death of Nathan as well. He just has to stick his nose into other people's business and if there is a mystery to solve he will not rest until he solves it. He loves to learn new things, whether that knowledge comes from talking to people, pouring over dusty old tomes, or rooting around in places other people fear to tread. It was this curiosity which led him to study magic while a student at Cambridge University.

Nathan will not leave a man behind if it is at all possible to save them. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and would put himself in danger if it meant getting his friends out alive. Ironically, Nathan is just as finicky about his hat. He often goes to great lengths to retrieve it even putting himself in danger to do so.

    Bio:
Nathaniel Blackwood is a Detective Constable serving in the Special Crimes Investigation Department of Metropolitan Police Services. He spent two years as a street Constable before pursuing training at Cambridge University and completing the Initial Crime Investigators' Development Programme.

While at Cambridge, Nathaniel joined the Ghost Club and delved into the ancient magical practices of Ancient Egypt. He participated in several investigations of the occult, none of which were eve made public. He learned several spells as a member of the club which would prove to be invaluable to his work as member of the Ghost Club and later as a member of SCID. In fact it was Nathan's mentor within the Ghost Club, , Lucius Lockley that successfully lobbied for him to be allowed to join SCID.

As a member of SCID, Nathaniel is tasked with investigating cases which something is unexplainable or the supernatural is believed to be involved. Officially SCID's job is to investigate these unexplainable events and to “sanitize” their findings. The powers that be don't want the presence of the supernatural to become common knowledge believing it would cause a panic if the truth were known. Members of SCID often must lie on their reports to make the unbelievable into something believable.

SCID is looked down upon by normal officers as being a collection of loonies and crackpots that have heard too many things go bump in the night. They see it as a dumping ground for troublemakers and usually steer clear of SCID investigations. Despite their detractors SCID performs an invaluable service; without them it would be open season on the streets of London.

Bio: Lilith is the daughter of the world famous human detective Jonathan Rook and theinfamous fey thief Rozalin Rook. From a young age she was a very curious little girl wanting to be like her father and mother which did not always turn out good for her as she questioned a lot of people and stuck her nose into things she shouldn’t have and did things she shouldn’t have.

At the young age of five Lilith had her first encounter with the mysterious blue man one day while she was out with her mother she got separated amongst a big crowd a few moments later two men came up to her and grabbed for her with the idea of selling her that was when the blue man came out of the shadows and saved her from the men and asked if she was ok, Lily replayed by saying yes and telling the strange man her name he gave her a smile a moment later lily’s mom managed to find her and noticed the blue man. He left before Lily could tell her mother what had happened and all she said was that she was glad she
    was unharmed.

Over the next few years she had a couple more run ins with the blue man and during her teenage years she grew more interested in the blue man who has helped her on many occasions she figured out that the more things she did to get into trouble the more she could see him. The last encounter she had with him was when she was sixteen and took a case that was for her father. The case was about a group of young women being kidnaped and being sold into prostitution while looking into case a few things got out of hand and Lily was captured and was about to be sold when the blue man burst into the building and beat her captors within an inch of their lives and recused her. She finally asked him what his name was and he told her it was Alistair. She wonders why did this man always come to her rescue ever since she was a young girl.

She thought of him as her own personal knight in shining armor. She moved in closer and told him thank you and how could she ever repay him as he leaned down to hear what she was saying Lily took the chance and kissed him but he pushed her away and left without saying a word. It has been two years since then and Lily has been a good girl trying to not to do anything bad but she still thought about the blue man named Alistair while her parents were away on business men came for her father saying that England need him. She told the men that her father had told her about them and that whatever business they had she could deal with she hoped maybe taking this case or whatever business her father had with them would cause Alistair to show up as he has the tendency to show up when she is in danger.
