The last product MWP, Ltd will be publishing for the Dragonlance RPG will be:
Leaves III, from the Inn of the Last Home. And to thank you fans for your wonderful support, we want you to be part of the story!
This is an open invitation to submit articles, recipes, holy artifacts, and magical items (scrolls, potions, artifacts etc) for consideration for inclusion in the book. Requirements for submission are given below. Please follow them!
Aesthetic
Trampas Whiteman is going to be compiling the material and reviewing submissions, along with the MWP staff. Space is limited, so we will not be able to include all submissions, but we'll try to use as many as possible.
In order to celebrate the Dragonlance movie,
Leaves III will be set during the War of the Lance. All material should be set during this time period with the exception of the holy artifacts (see below).
Articles: If you would like to write an article about a person, place, or thing relating to the War of the Lance, please submit a one paragraph idea to (trampas@dragonhelm.net) with 'Leaves' in the subject line. Deadline for idea submissions is May 25, 2007. Deadline for final article is August 1, 2007. We will pay $.03 per word for articles used in the book. Please note that payment does not extend to other sections.
Holy Artifacts: During the War of the Lance, an Aesthetic in the library made an amazing discovery: a catalog of the confiscated artifacts placed in the Hall of Sacrilege prior to the Cataclysm. Descriptions of holy artifacts should be one page in length. Include the history of the artifact, as well as what it does and what it looks like. Don't worry about game stats. We can add those if necessary. We already have artifacts from Paladine and Takhisis, so please create artifacts sacred to the other gods. Submission deadline is August 1, 2007. All those whose descriptions are used in the book will receive credit in the book. No limit on number of submissions. Send to (trampas@dragonhelm.net).
Magical Objects: Magical items could have been created in previous ages, but should now be in use during the War of the Lance. Descriptions of magical artifacts, scrolls, potions, etc., should be one page in length. Please include the history of the object, as well as what it does and what it looks like. Recipes from Tika's Cookbook: Recipes should be submitted to (recipes@dragonlance.com) with ‘Recipes’ in the subject line. You may include a brief description of the recipe (where it came from, favorite dish of a certain character, etc.), but that is not necessary. Tika, along with her assistant,
Renae Chambers, will be testing all recipes. Please make sure you list all the ingredients and that your measurements are accurate! Also include instructions on preparation and cooking temperature and time (if relevant). Submission deadline is August 1, 2007. All those whose recipes are used in the book will receive credit in the book. No limit on number of submissions.
Thank you all for you help and for your support over the years. My staff, Tracy Hickman and I want Leaves III--our final product--to serve as a tribute to all Dragonlance fans everywhere.
