The Recapture of Mt. Nevermind

OOC: This takes place after the Knights of Neraka take Mt. Nevermind. (This story didn't really happen.)

IC: After the Knights took Mt. Nevermind Redkioihagfljdkahfuywhkasrgkajzhdzxawzexsrcdtfvygh uji... or as people called him, Red, decided to take it back. The other gnomes refused to help because the Knights threatened to blow Mt. Nevermind if the gnomes attacked. Red had figured out that these were just idle threats and the Knights were bluffing. Now Red was in a town on the coast of Ansalon (He was away from Mt. Nevermind during its capture) and he was hiring mercenaries to take back Mt. Nevermind.
His flying machine, which he used for travel was the pride of his life. Red was always facinated with weapons and he had a huge arsenal. His flying machine, which he named Air Strike, was heavily equipped with weapons and had two decks with a cabin underneath the bottom deck. The Air Strike was distinct because of its two rotating turrents with repeating crossbows on each turrent with plenty of crossbow bolts on hand. (Note: the Repeating crosbow Turrents are based an machine gun turrents. The cabin contained the living spaces. An area in the middle of the cabin area below the deck could be opened so you could drop things on people's heads. Its wings unlike the modern Airplane had short wings as not to interfere with spires and allowed it to be more manuverable. The Air Strike is a marvel that makes people gawk. The required crew is three which includes Red, Granite(Granite is going to be played by my friend), and ____(Which is a spot someone can take). Red mantains the controls frantically spending a lt of time adjusting the maching to air currents and things like that. Another to manuver the plane by controlling the steering. The other is mainly there to control one of the turrents in case of attack. (Tell me if you need to know something about the Air Strike. I'm not sure if this is an adequate enough description.)
Red also has a lot of different weapons stored in his pouch...
Right now Red is landing outside of a good-sized town and looking for hired help. He is entering the town with his two crew members looking for mercenaries.

OOC: There are a couple things I need to say. Granite is being played by a friend and the blank is one spot(no limits there except be reasonable). The rest are mercenaries. I need three of those. If you want to join the thread after I fill the spots PM me or ask in the thread OOC. Also no gnomes or being Knights of Neraka or any force fighting Red. This helps keep the thread from messing up.

Des: Quite unusal for a dwarf he isn't afraid of heights. Uses axe (what a surprise) and also a crossbow, so he ca use the repeater ones.

Bio: Most of his life has lived with Gnomes he seemes to enjoy there technolgy some that is. He befreinded red long ago and they worked hard together to build there beloved air strike luckily he was away with red when the attack on mount nevermind happened and he was ready to take it back with red.

OOC: Well you said that you were the only gnome to escape, well it could make sense that yo found to dwarves to help. I think I am going to be a crewmember.

IC: Yeah lower it gently this time, I remember last time that was bad enough. I didn't think we were ever going to remove cow from the side of the hull.

Red flipped some switches and turned some nozzles and the wings of the Air Astrike receded into the hull. the Air strike landed nice and smoothly. Red extended the ladder and climbed down to the open field. "C'mon down let's see if we have any luck in this town."

Race:Human

Aramin is a Mystic who grew up in a Solamnic outpost in Sancrist. He was away at the time Mt. Nevermind was taken. He has a love of Gnomish technology, even if it does not always work.

IC:Aramin sees a strange flying machine landing in the town he is in. Fascinated he begins to move toward uit and sees a Gnome coming out of it.

"Hello good Dwarf, I could not help but notice this fantastic flying machine that you have. What are you here for? Do you need any help with anything? For I do not have any business to take care of now, and I always try to help those who need it."

Red stepped in. "This is my Flying machine, the Air Strike. Granite, and Grim here helped me build it. We are here to find mercenaries to protect us as we recapture Mt. Nevermind. Are you good with weapons or have another way of protecting us? We can hire you for our mission if you would like to come.."

"That's good. Would you like to join us? We're going into town now to find some more people. Would you mind showing us around? Mabye where all the mercenaries gather or somewhere where we could find some more."

"Okay," Red stopped short. "You never told me your name. What is it?" Red started off talking to Aramin motioning to his two crew members to follow him.

Granite walked beside Grim and behind Red. He yawned and said to Red. ''I am going to the local inn find me when your finshed. Will you acomapany Grim.'' Before he waited for an answer Granite then walked off from the group he walked around to till he found a nice looking inn titled the purple moon. He walked in and took a seat behind the fire next to a man in lots of chainmail armour he sat down in front of him and ordered a glass of ale. He looked at the lion eyed man '' From where do you hail be fellow.''

"Okay," Red stopped short. "You never told me your name. What is it?" Red started off talking to Aramin motioning to his two crew members to follow him.

"Oh, I am sorry, my name is Aramin. Sometimes I forget myself." The young man says with a smile.

Well Red followed Aramin as he led him to the savage rabbit and started to ask around.

OOC: okay Raeray you're taking awhile to post so we'll just assumed you joined.

IC: Red walked back to the Air Strike with Aramin and Rae. He suddenly remebered that Granite and Grim had gone. "We'll have to wait a little while for my two crew members."

Meanwhile: The lion-eyed man sitting next to Granite twitched and yelled at Granite, "Why do you care about me? Do I owe a debt or something? You want to fight, huh? Well I'll beat the hell outta you!!" It was obvious this guy was crazy. He overturned the table and took out a longsword and charged Granite.

OOC: Grim this is a great time for you to help Granite.

Granite Blinked in shock of the wild man,But he didn't take long to react. Granite quickly side steped the man and triped him to the ground his longsword flew across the floor. Granite then punched the man in the back of his head his head bounced hit the ground and busted his nose. Then granite steped back waiting for the man to regain himself for what now would be a all out fist brawl. '' Well boy you seemed to have fell. Oh now look at your nose its bleeding lets get you pig nosed wife to kiss it for ye.''

The Crazy, Insane man gets up blood torrenting down his face. He grabs Granite's legs and pulls up flipping Granite completely over. He then spits on Granite and scrambles for his longsword.

Granite got mad and scrambled to his hands ands knees and grabs a bar stool in front of him and pushes it on top of the man. What the man didn't know that his sword had fell in the fire. Granite rolled over and grabed a mug crashed it on the bar and armed himself with the broken glass.

[Kendergod]

The insane man not noticing the fire dives in and grabs the longsword, not seeming to fel the pain he comes right out with scorched hands and a hot longsword he suddenly realizes his pain and screams vicously and seems to go out of control. He drops the longsword and charges Granite armed only with tooth and nail.

Granite junks his glass at the man crashing into his head and seeming to deal no pain. Granite then readyes himself sliping brass knuckles and swung at the man hitting him in his screaming mouth knocking out his front teeth.

[Kendergod]

The man almost smallowing his teeth that were punched in. He spits them out at Granite hitting him in the eye. Advancing on Granite's temporary blindness the insane man charges, but slips on on Granite's dropped glass. He then knocks out the rest of his teeth.

Granite starts to laugh so violently he falls down on top of the man. He laughs till he can't breath any longer. Then he starts crying. He stands up and kicks the man and begins laughing again.

[Kendergod]

The insane man now starts to take note of the rest of the bar laughing at him. He charges the nearest patron almost killing him. He clotheslines another. He then trips a young mage onto the floor. He picks up the mage and throws him at Granite.

Granite dives out of the way the mage hit a kender wich while they were on the grund stole all the mages things. Granite Grab a chair brakes of a leg and marched on the man. He swings and the man ducks sliping and falling on a woman spiling her drink on her. She gets pissed and pokes him in his eyes and and hits him witha series of slaps.

[Kendergod]

The insane man bites off the ladies hand and charges Granite, but is stopped short by a flying kender carrying the mage's pouch. A couple more explosions happen blowing the man onto Granite. He then punches Granite, but is then pulled off as the mage grabs a hold of him and says, "Hit him now!"

Granite pulles back his steel boots and kicks the man in the nuts. The punches him on his nose making it bleed more. As he looked around he saw that it was an all out brawl then he saw 10 local guards enter to tryand stop the brawl Granite grabs up the man and flings him into the guards.

[Kendergod]

The guards seem to be surprised at the man being thrown into their midst. The man charges back at Granite, but is cut off by many other fights. He then screams an unearthly scream as his skin dissovles, as do all his tissue and organs until he is a shining skeleton. The crowd stares as he yells something unearthly and bowls over granite ready to suck the life out of him.

Granite deciedes this is too much he makes a mad dah for the door once outside runs full speed into the feild bumping into red ''hurry get in the air strike.'' He screams leave these pepole here there are skeltons daemons something here. He quickly turns and draws his axe preparing to defend himself from the freak.

Red sees the skeleton and yells for everyone to get into the Air Strike. He gets on starting the lifting process.

The skeleton sees that his prey is escaping. He screams, but this time it is distinguisable. He screams, "Takhisis begone with you!" as he charges Granite yet another time.

Granite rolles jumps into the machine and preys to reorx to get them out of there.

[Tinker]

Aramin quickly boards the flying device and wonders what exactly is going on.

[Calus]

OOC: Really sorry guys, went home for the weekend and so couldn't post.

IC: Grim, watched as the fight grew, he laughed heartily until broken chairs came his way, he decided to leave and jumped into the Airstrike.

[Kendergod]

OOC: Raeray I'm srry, but we're moving on.

IC: Red grabbed Rae's hand as he pulled Rae onto the ship. "We're taking off!! We're going Mt Nevermind." Red saw as the local authorities tried to stop him from taking off. He saw the local aurthorities were Nerakan Knights. Word had gotten around that they were looking to destroy the outpost on Mt. Nevermind. A huge barrage of arrows sweeped past the ship. "Granite, Calus get to the Crossbow turrents and take down those catapults and bowmen. Aramin take this and open the bottom of the cabin down below and drop this onto the guards attacking us. Be careful you don't fall through. Just pull down the blue lever!" He handed Aramin a small red capsule about the size of a tennis ball.

OOC: Tell me if you don't know how to work the crossbow turrents or what they are Calus.

[Tinker]

aramin promptly follows the Gnomes instructions and drops the capsule down into their attackers. Waiting to see what happens...

[Calus]

OOC: Sorry Kendergod, my name is Grim.

IC: Grim was already running for his crossbow, he swivelled in the chair and held down the trigger, bolts flew across the front line of the archers, cutting down five archers and wounding another 3. Grim wasn't very accurate, unlike Granite who could shoot through rope while the Airstrike swayed from side to side (OOC: sorry Granite I have just made you the marksman). But Grim, made up for his accuracy by the quick movements and quick reactions. Grim swivelled back to cut down another four archers.

[Kendergod]

OOC: oops, srry Calus.

IC: As the small capsule dropped to ground a huge explosion ripped through the archers and catapults as they were blown to little bits. There were still some troops left Just then a huge boulder hit the side of the air strike denting it "Take out the rest of them!"

[Kendergod]

OOC: I'm going to be gone till Tuesday. MotL (if you still exist) you get to control Red. After we take out the few remaining archers and catapults we'll go to Mt. Nevermind, but we'll have to make repairs to the Air Strike. We'll go out and some group of mercenaries take over the Air strike, but we'll fight our way and get onboard before they can take off then fight in the air. Hopefully you won't farther than that (I doubt the thread will go farther than killing those two catapults while I'm gone.). Take good care of this thread.

Grim shot the last of the archers, on the floor, all that was left was the catapaults.

Granite mounted his turret this is what he liked. Granite cranked his handles at an quick speed his arrows flew prescisely to his targets. He shot alot at the big gear on the first catupult jamming it hard. Granite took out his gnomish lighter red made much fater than flint and steal. He switched his bolt to the baskets on which he had raped the flamble cloth. He lit them and fired it at the first catupult catching it on fire. This was also a special red invetion the cloth win lit mad a special fire (greek fire).

Aramin, now not knowing what he is supposed to do decides to quietly sink into the backround until this whole mess is over with.

OOC: srry I was out but now I'm back. So mabye we can get this started again and if you don't want to you can not post, but this thread will keep going!!

IC: Red turned the ship onward as the last defenses were destroyed and all was clear. He had a feeling that a welcome party was waiting for them at Neraka. He yelled back to everyone, "Is everyone all right? We had some trouble, but I'm sure we can keep going."

[Calus]

"Yep fine, nice flying as ever", said Grim sarcastically "can't even dodge a large boulder."

[Tinker]

"I am fine, and if anyone has been injured I believe I can help."

[Kendergod]

"No one's injured it looks like. We better get moving.." The flgiht continued for some time til the irhgt side of the ship began to make funny noises then suddenly the wole right wing fell off. the ship was spiraling down towards the ground!! Red shouted, "Everyone get a blanket from the bedrooms. They are made to junp with." Red grabbed a blanket and jumped. He soared through the air the blanket helping him glide gently.

[Calus]

Grim grabbed his crossbow and grabbed a blanket next to him, he was prepared for such things after all it was a gnome invention. He jumped out of the air ship and glided down, although his was a much steeper angle because of his crossbow and his weight.

Granite hit his escape button his pod shot in there are and shatter leave in him in air with his blanket. He managed to grab all his things before he fell.

Aramin grabs a blanket and does as the Gnome instructed him to do.
