OOC: I have been around this site for some time and I have noticed that there aren't any Sea Elves (Dimernesti or Dargonesti). So this is the site for them, if you are interested in an underwater adventure keep reading.
It is just before the Cataclysm, people of other races are starting to explore the deep oceans, the elves if you met them would have killed you or enslaved you in their underwater cities. This thread is about the Dimernesti and Dargonesti fighting off a Shaugin invasion, join the armies and send the Shaugin back to their own land.

IC: General Kela swam in front of his new recruits, "Ok elves, I am General Kela, you shall not disobey me, you shall not flee, you will fight the enemy. You will need to find out the elves around you, you need to trust them with your lives, for they will be swimming along side you when we go to battle."

OOC: What are Shaugin? Could you describe them?

OOC: Shaugin are a bit like lizard men come fish but swim underwater, (If you have played Kingdom Hearts they are similar to the green things that swim around in Atlantica, also in Baldur's Gate 2), they are usually green and have thick carapace armour on. They can still swim very fast and are very strong.

they are proficient in the trident and nets, they are very war like and territorial.

Gender:Female
Class: Cleric of Zeboim
Discription: She is about 6 feet tall, she looks slender next to a human, but next to an elf she looks quite muscular then them. She has light blue skin, her fingers and toes are webbed. Her hair is silver and long and is braided in a couple of places with shells on them. Her eyes are an indigo color. She wears what ever a Cleric could wear underwater, probably some kind of lite robe. She picked Zebiom as her patron Goddess because of her attitude, it has been said her attitude can change in a matter of seconds just the the goddesses. And for someone to have that much power over the water deserves to be respected. Ulana herself is respected as a Cleric of Zeboim, but still is feared and mis trusted because of aligning herself with an Evil God.

IC: Ulana watches the General, not sure how this is going to work out. She had decided to joined because she wanted to try and prove to the others that it is worthwhile to have her around and that she is not planning on betraying them. As she keeps listening she starts wondering if this was such a good idea.

Weapons: Has his magic, and a staff carved from a giant pearl. The staff has special magical abilities that will, uh, be revealed later (think aquaman :))
Description: Blue skin like a regular sea-elf, about 5 foot 10, slightly shorter then mose of his sea elf counterparts. He is also very thin, but this has always worked as an advantage, because he can slip among armies unnoticed until they feel the might of his magic. His hair is as white as the pearl his staff is made of.
Oh, I made a name for the staff: The Staff of Aquathalla....don't ask me where it came from, I know as well as you do...

OOC: I'm not quite sure where you want me to come in, but I am sure there are not many sea-elf war wizards, so maybe I would be a general or sumtin...

A large piece of coral by the group changed shape. It was actually Rolloth, who had been seeing what was going on. "I have also arrived."

"Yes, but with such a testy goddess I worship it is best not to tempt my fate with her by adding that. " She then turns as the piece of coral turns into Rolloth, she bows her head to him respectfully meanwhile wondering if it was really neccessary to make such and entrance.

ic- Kaola eyed the new recruits as they swam laps, keeping a mental note to report back any who seemed as though they could not cut it. This was going to be a major assult as far as she could determine and everyone had to be able to preform.

helus had still not said a word he just took in every thing he had not become ia high cleric by not listerning he new the other cleric was uncomptable he could see why the anyone would be uncomptable with a mage in there mist but he new that if the mage was to enter his mind he would see nothing he had been gifted with protection from such trivial abilities he moved to the side of kela as he was survaying everyone but not in the same way as the head warrior kaola or the genral Kela he just watched he hadnt even come to a conclusion about the mage who would seem to be a bit crazy

OOC: Thanks raeray I thought we needed some common troops and thanks Kyra I was wondering how I was going to keep an army going by myself.

IC: "Welcome, as you might or might not know, the shaugin are attacking once more, but they have been attacking more frequently and with more skill. We believe that they are being led by someone we don't who or what it is. There have been rogue reports that the sharks have joined them as well, so when we fight them we need to be ready for every eventuality that is why we have called you all here. A cleric of both the Habbakuk and Zeboim and lastly a wizard as we might need him for general us. As they are being led and have joined with the sharks we need all the help we can get." Kela then looks around at them all. "We are training this army to combat the main force of the shaugin, but we must also liberate some villages that have already been taken. It is our job to train these elves and then when it is time, you lot, myself, Kaola and a few soldiers will form a task force that will take out key locations. Is that understood?"

Raeray swam over to Sam a person she just met.
"Hey Sam, having fun yet," she asked giggling.

Kaola eyed the elf who broke ranks and dropped back in the swim to converse with another recruit, she did not say anything for the moment, just watched to see what was going to transpire. Watching as the recruit Raeray, Kaola checked her roster for the name, and another recruit started to talk. Swimming up silently behind them Kaola narrowed her eyes " I would like to know what you are doing here recruit." she barked and watched with satisfaction as she caught the two off guard. " We are prepareing for battle, not a social event! Lives will depend on us and if you are not properly trained you could end up wounded or possibly dead or worse. " With a gesture to the others recruits still swimming laps she looked at the two sternly " Now get back in line and swim laps with the rest."

IC: General Kela loked out the window as he saw Koala swim off, intrigued Kela looked out the window and saw Koala reprimanding a sea elf, he smiled and went back to his conversation. "Is that understood?"

OOC: Actually the race are called sahuagin. They are extremely proficient in underwater combat, and as Calus stated, quite war-like and territorial. They are usually referred to as shark-men, rather than lizardmen however. Sahuagin tribes are known to dwell in the deep sea regions of Krynn and are the hated enemy of tritons, sea elves and merfolk.

Koala noticed the general and his party come out of the meeting, turning she looked at the recruits " Alright everyone, FORM RANKS " she commanded then turned to face the general. " Here is your army general" she stated.

Name: Dyran Sharkhunter
Race: Dimernesti
Appearance: Very heavily muscled for a dimernesti, deep blue skin. Dressed in a small platemail with short chain arms, not disrupting his movement overly much. Weapon is a large scythe.
Gender: Male
Class: Warrior
Background: One of the finer, and lesser trusted, veteran warriors, Dyran has proved his skills with the unlikely weapon many times over during his centuries long skirmish battle with the sahuagin along with a small band of other elite warriors. What caused their demise is unclear, but Dyran was the only survivor, and the first to bring word of the mor organised shark men. He insisted on joining the special forces.

"And you start the briefing without me," Dyran says in mock sadness. There had never been much military dicipline in him. "These are the ones I need to work with?" He asks, nodding to the group. His scythe is not sheated, but battle-ready in his one hand.

"Curb your tongue Dyran", said General Kela used to his jibes. "We are just about to choose our task force, anyway you didn't miss much as you were the one that told us about the events that have been occuring." General Kela looked up and down the line and turned towards the specialists. "Well I have chosen, but this task force is small so you will need to only pick one"

OOC: I will have Steph (Sam).

Dyran turns to look at the recruits for a second. Eyeing one of the females in the front, he remembers her little break of dicipline earlier. He points at her. "I'll have that one. See if I can teach her some dicipline." He smiles a self-confident smile and gestures for her to approach with his scythe.

OOC: I meant from the regular troops, in the group are the two clerics, me, Koala, Steph (As I have chosen her), yourself (Dyran), and the war wizard. One of you is meant to pick Raeray (that has now been taken by Grimgor) and then the rest are new ones that are made up, that way if anyone wants to join they can take over one of the privates or be totally new characters. And it gives us fodder.

Koala eyed the troops with a practiced eye " You there in the back, swim forward." she called to a young Dimernesti male. He was small and had a sly look about him, as he swam to the front lines Koala leaned in toward General Kela " I would choose him, his name is Karelen. I have been watching him closely, he's smart and quick, good with a weapon. I recommend him to be a scout." Koala smiled at Kela " With the generals permission of course."

"Hmm, you then." Rolloth called to a small dimernesti. A small fragile male in fact. He swam up to Rolloth. "What is your name?" Rolloth asked him.
"Clast Oceandeceiver."
"And what is it that you can do Clast? Are you a fighter, cleric, mage perhaps?"
"Actually..." Clast started to change, and in mere moments, a crab was sitting in front of Rolloth. A few seconds later, a large shark, and a few seconds later...a large sahuagin was in front of Rolloth. "Impressive, do you also get their skills and can you speak there lannguage?"
"I can not speak their language unless I study like a normal Dimernesti would, and I do not get magical traits, but I do get their physical abilities. Like since I am a sahuagin right now, I will be protected from many blows and have much more strength then my small body does. Oh, and I think you may find this interesting." Clast suddenly changed again. In front of Rolloth there stood a large red creature. It had the shell of what looked like a huge crab, but had four flippers to help get it through the ocean faster. It also had a very long next, which at the top held the head of a shark. "Seems I am able to mix and match to my choosing. My only limits are I can't become anything larger then 20ft tall or long. This may seem large, but it really is not. What do you think?"
"I think I made a good choice..."

OOC: Hehe, if my characters sound to epic, just tell me, and I will have something happen to change it... Hehe, but I like these characters....

OOC: Sorry Proph and Sticko, but need to keep this thread moving, so could you post your crappy characters after this one.

IC: "Right, you know who you are, come out and stand over there", he said pointing to the left of him, the specialists on the right. "The rest of you, you will join General Manak's group, move it".
The rest of the sea elves left to join the other battalions. "Right, privates these are the specialists, these will be in charge of you as well as Koala and I. You have been chosen to join a task force to take key locations, and perform sabotage, espionage and assassinations." He paused a bit to let this sink in (OOC: No puns intended). "You will not speak of this to anyone, you will not let on that this unit exists. Get to know your specialists as you will be with them for a long time. Dismissed."

Dyran floats a few feet away from the others with his recruit the second Kela was done. "You already know me," he said matter-of-factly. "So who are you?"

BIC: Rolloth and Clast swam over towards Koala. "Wait here," Rolloth told his private. Then Rolloth swam over to Koala. "I have noticed you seem to have some leadership skills," Rolloth said to her. "I could, uh, use a little advice. I have never actually had to do anything like this, generally its me and some other wizards fighting together, and the qizards are generally able to keep themselves together. I've never tried any assassinations or anything, although I am sure my private would be great at these things, he is a shapeshifter."

Koala eyed the private hanging back behind the wizard " A shapeshifter huh, he could come in handy." she turned back towards the wizard and presented her hand " I am Koala, General Kela's sargent at arms, I propose that we go ahead of the group on a scouting assignment to discover the enemies weakness. " Koala nodded her head towards a young dimernesti " He is with me, his name is Karelen." Koala was all business, she was not the type to be idle when there was something to be done and right now she wanted to start.

OOC: I am sorry but you don't know where you are going at the moment, but don't worry I will swim across and tell you.

IC: "Listen up, Dark Mantra (OOC: that is your squad name), the recruits are settled in the other units. Our first priority is to liberate a village just to the south, it is the village of Laternon. There have been reports that the village has been taken by the Sahaugin, but what is strange is that there are prisoners this time, which is unusual for the Sahaugin. That is why we are being sent there, there must be someone or something stopping them from killing our people,so we must liberate the town and it's occupants and find out all we can. Understood?"

"Yes sir," Clast said enthusiastically, Rolloth nodded, not as excited about having to take orders...

OOC: Calus, can we just continue on and plan with each other, or what? Like, are you going to formulate the plan, or should the specialists come up with a plan and meet together?

OOC: I thought you can still keep going with your scouting, I was hoping Kyra would say 'permission to scout sir' or some such phrase. But yes continue with your chat and scout.

ooc- I was working up to that...;) I wanted to assess the 'scouting team' first...:)

bic- Koala was satisfied that the four of them would make a good advance party to scout out the mission so she swam over to the General to suggest her plan and await his orders. " General Sir, " she said with a salute ( ooc- I am not miliatry so if I go overboard, let me know..) " I have assembled a small scouting team that I believe would make a recon mission successfull, do I have your permission to proceed sir?" Koala stood at attention awaiting Kela's reply, she knew that for the liberation plan to be successfull the specialists would need all the forewarned information they could get, and she was just the Dimernesti to get it.

ooc- I guess you could say Koala is a little egotistical...:)

Koala nodded the affirmative and swam back to the waiting team. Pulling the wizard aside ( ooc- sorry i forgot the names...)Koala told him that they have approval to proceed " It will be a small team, you and I and and the two privates. We should leave within the hour so take this time to prepare and meet back here in 30 mins." Koala then turned to the privates and told them the same thing.

Rolloth swam over to Clast. "Well Clast, we are trying to liberate a town. You are a shapeshifter, so I figure we will have you possibly take the for of a sahuagin. Let me go talk to Koala and see what she thinks."

Rolloth swam over to Koala. "What is the plan miss? Would you prefer a diversion from me, or to unleash some power into the town? Maybe a little of both? And, Clast can infiltrate. He is not overly powerful, but can find out valuable info, and I'm sure if we can give him a weapon he could do something. We only have 30 minutes, correct? Maybe you could give him a quick run through... I myself will need nothing but my staff..."

Koala eyed Rolloth warily " How many recon missions have you been on?" she asked " We don't create diversions, we do not engage the enemy unless absolutely nessessary, as a matter of fact all we are going to do is gather information and report our findings to the others" Koala gave a small sigh " I will explain in detail once everyone has reported back in 30 mins, I need to gather some things myself." Turning she swam off to gather her gear and weapons.

bic- Koala swam back to the meeting place just outside of the battlements and saw that Rolloth and Clast were allready there. Swimming up to them she settled herself in, dropping her trident to rest with it's point on the ground and looked around for Karelen, spying him swimming in she nodded to herself and waited for him to settle in. " Alright listen up, we are an advance team going in to find out all that we can about the settlement under occupation. We are looking for things like where the prisoners are being held, and by how many guards." she looked at Clast " The best thing to do would be for you to appear as a guard and find out as much as you can about the invasion. We will be slipping into key areas around the settlement and Rolloth, I want you to be the look out as you can warn us all at the same time if anything should go wrong. Alright anyone have any questions?" she said as she looked arounf the group.

"No questions, lets get this over with, I feel like dishing out some pain, so the sooner we scout, the sooner we fight," Rolloth said.

Koala nodded " We will head north then cut in from the east, there is a deep trench just outside the settlement that we will use a base, once there we will see where the weakest point of defense is then proceed with the plan." Koala hefted her trident and swam out.

Rolloth, strapping his staff to his back, followed. Clast, hacing a relatively weak normal body, changed himself into a dolphin, and swam on behind Rolloth...

OOC: Hi, uh.....

[Calus]

OOC: Well no offense but i think that scouting party did a lot!

IC: Kela heard back from Koala about the village, there were 30 sahaugin in total all spread out. Most grouped around prisoners, in the village hall at the center of the village. Kela called to the others, "Right everyone we are moving out." Kela explained what the situation was and they all moved out to the village.

OOC: You have come back already, so you with us. New thing I will keep an enemy counter so we know who is there.

IC: General Kela turned to the group, "Ok everyone kill all the sahaugin, leave none alive, we have to make sure that the mastermind behind of these attacks knows nothing of our existance." General Kela then swam around the corner to see a sahaugin on guard duty, he killed the sahaugin easily and swam on.

BIC: Rolloth went into a trance, and started chanting. Clast saw two shuagins swimming towards them, and quickly changed into the form of a large shark. He swam down, and right as the sahuagin made it to Rolloth he swam up as fast as possible. He grabbed the leg of one, and threw him to the side, a large gash in his leg. He tried to make it to the second one, but he didn't have enough time. The sahuagin had grabbed Rolloth. All of a sudden, the sahuagin yelled and swam off. Rolloth's staff had started eminating a golden light. As the Sahuagin swam past Clast, he saw a burn mark all the way across its chest. Rolloth swam forward, the water around his staff actually boiling, although Rolloth was unaffected by the heat. Keeping back a safe distance, Clast keeping his shark form swam on behind. Two Sahuagins swam at Rolloth, but Rolloth stab his staff into one, in burned straight through the sahuagins chest. The other grabbed Rolloths foot, but a quick spell and the sahuagin was detached from his hand. As he turned to flee Rolloth stabbed the staff through his back.

OOC: 25 enemies left... Just ask when you want me to kill some more...its fun. Oh, and uh, no his weapon isn't anything like an underwater lightsaber!!! *shifty eyes*

IC: General Kela saw the sahaguin scream in pain and try and swim off, only to be caught by Rolloth, he saw something move and spun his head around to see a sahaugin swim off into the distance, "We have to move quickly one has got away". He then saw another one poke his head out at the sound. He threw his spear and it pierced the sahaugin's chest.

BIC: Rolloth turned to see the Sahuagin swimming off. He chanted something, and the tides turned, throwing the Sahuagin backwards. It was rammed against a rock, and feebly tried to swim away, then its head smacked into another rock, and it moved no more. The tide stopped and it floated down to the bottom of the ocean.

ooc- Sorry been out of it for a couple days...had a wisdom tooth pulled... :eek:

bic- Koala manuvered herself to the outskirts of the settlement to make sure no Sahuagin made it out alive and steadily fought her way in towards the area where the prisoners were being hel captive. Quietly dispatching two Sahuagin guards before they could shout for reinforcements, she signalled to General Kela that she was in postion.

A small crab was crawling by Koala. It crawled over to Koala, and tapped her with its claw, then whispered "Is there anything you need me to do?"

OOC: Crab = Clast

[Calus]

General Kela looked around and saw that Koala was in position he was as well, but there was one last sentry around and then the main chunk. He looked around and a small bush was slowly moving it's way along the floor. Kela looked at it and smiled as he saw a sahaugin tail poke out of the back of the bush, he threw his spear and passed through the bush and into the sahaugin back.
Kela nodded to the others and they all swam into the center from three different angles, the sahaugin were mostly asleep in their large kelp tents (each holding about 6 sahaugin) but many of them were out and about, Kela swam into the first tent and killed all the sahaugin within (three of them) silently and without mercy. He turned to see a sahaugin come in through the tent and see him, the sahaugin turned and called "Attack", although no one understood.

OOC: Down to 17 But you only get this initial attack to kill a group and then everyone is up. :D

[Kyra Starleaf]

Koala turned to glance at the crab and pursed her lips thinking of the best way to put Clast's skills to use. " I want you to enter the prisoner holding and tell them to be ready to attack as soon as we get the holding doors open. We will need every able body to defeat the enemy." She waited as the crab scuttled off then took a firm hold of her trident and swam out to attack along with the others. Entering one of the kelp tents Koala dispatched one of the resting Sahuagin before the others were aware of the attack then there was no time to thnk as she was set upon by four others. Every thing moved in a blur but when the silt settled down Koala was the only living being left in the tent. Gripping her arm where a deep slash ran from shoulder to elbow, she looked out to see about 10 of the enemy converging on the others. Taking the opportunity to slip behind the main force towards the prisoner enclosure, she decided to see what she could do to release the prisoners.

The crab crawled through the group, startling many of the prisoners by talking to them, but they all listened. Clast saw Koala going around, looking for a way to free the prisoners. Clast was ahead of her. He quickly changed into an extremely small shrimp. He swam over to the lock and swam in. Working with his small claws, a click was heard. In his shrimp form, he swam over to Koala and said "I have unlocked the lock. I have also informed the prisoners that they will need to fight. Now it is up to you to help them." Suddenly the shrimp saw 3 Sahuagins coming up behing Koala. He switched forms into that of an octopus. He swam up and as the Sahuagin were about to reach Koala, and dropped down. He wrapped one of his tentacles around the throat of one of the sahuagins, and using the muscle in his tentacle, snapped its neck. One tried to stab at him, but he shifted his body, spurting ink into its face, and blinding it. The last sahuagin stabbed a spear through the octopus, pinning Clast to a rock. The other sahuagin had wiped the ink from its eyes, and held its spear poised above the octopus's head. He smiled, and drew back to throw it, when all of a sudden it was drawn from his hand. It then went through his body. The other Sahuagin looked around quickly, but before it could act it felt a quick burning sensation on its neck, then felt nothing else. Rolloth grabbed the spear out of Clast's tentacle, and Clast quickly changed back to his Dargonesti form, which now had a hole in one of the arms.

OOC: 9....

[Calus]

Kela was surrounded, Rolloth had gone off to help Clast and he was left behind with nine sahaugin surrounding him. Kela muttered a curse, and waited patiently fo rhis first victim to come too close. A sahaugin charged forward and tried to stab, Kela, he parried and thrust his spear in to the shaugin another came from the other side and he was dispatched. Seven left, the sahaugin hung back a bit waiting for an opening in the Dimnesti's defense.
Kela got bored of this and threw his spear in to one of the sahaugin and quickly followed it to retrieve his spear, the sahaugin was dead, but he couldn't move. A net thrown by one of the sahaugin had caught around his middle; he couldn't move his arms or legs and so plummetted to the ocean bottom, quickly followed by the remaining four sahaugin.

OOC: Whoops forgot they had nets, and they are really good with them. Well anyway down to four.

"Wait a second, where are the rest of the Sahuagin's?" Clast asked himself. "Kela!" He yelled. Rolloth turned to Clast, and then also noticed the lack of sahuagin around. He chanted a spell, and a picture came into his mind. It was of Kela trapped in a net with Sahuagin's coming at him. Rolloth quickly swam off. Clast, not knowing quite what was going on, changed forms into that of a dolphin. Unfortunately, he still had a hole hin his right fin, but he knew that he could still swim faster then any regular Dargonesti. Clast swam over Rolloth, and kept swimming. He then saw the falling Kela, and darted down. As he swam down, he changed his shape into that of an odd creature. It had the body and head of a shark, although out of its sides jellyfish tentacles emerged. And, it had a normal shark tale, except for the very tip, which ended with a point. Clast bit onto the first Sahuagin and threw out his tentacles, stinging the other two. He opened his mouth again, and cleanly bit the Sahuagin in half. He had only angered the other three Sahuagins though. He swam quickly, trying to bite off the bonds holding Kela, but two sahuagins grabbed him each by a fin. The third stabbed a spear right above Clast's tale. Clast fought back by stabbing the barb into the sahuagins stomach. Instantly the Sahuagin lost its green color and became very pale, then stopped moving all together. The last two sahuagins though pelted Clast with their fists. Then, betweem the assault and lack of blood Clast fell to the ocean floor. The last two Sahuagins prepared to attack him and Kela, all of a sudden two pieces of coral cleanly slit each Sahuagin's throat, as Rolloth finally arrived, and collapased from all of the powerful spells he had had to expel during the day.

OOC: Ding ding ding! There go the Sahuagins!

[Calus]

Kela was stuck in his net with a hybrid on top of him, which he guessed was Clast. He saw Rolloth faint and the coral which killed the sahaguin laid nxt to him. It took him only a few moments to cut the net. He picked up Rolloth and dragged Clast by a tentacle, towards Koala who was with the prisoners.
"Do any of you happen to be clerics? We have two injured here", kela said dropping the two casualties. "And could you all tell my officer and I anything you know about the sahaugin?"

OOC: Rolloth will be fine after he sleeps, but yea, Clast needs a cleric...

[Kyra Starleaf]

Koala gestured Kela forward and spoke to him in low tones " The prisoners have no clerics among them, in fact there are no clerics in the entire village. I have questioned the prisoners myself and none seem to have any answers as to where the Sahuagin came from or even what it is they wanted. I find all this very suspisious General." she said casting a glance back at the huddled group of freed prisoners. Glancing back at Clast she took in his injuries then turned to Karelin " Tend him as best as you can." As the young elf swam over to help Clast Koala turned to Kela once more " General, Karelin will do what he can for the injured untill we find a cleric, untill then Sir, what are your orders?"

As Karelin swam over, Clast said to him(?I think its a guy?) "First make sure Rolloth is ok. I have...not seen him move for a while...." Clast was bleeding heavily, still in his hybrid form, a large hole in both his right find and his tail.

[Calus]

"Well we need to take these people back to someone safe, and tell our officials of what has occured. Bring Rolloth and Clast aswell." Kela let the villagers grab a few vital and personla things and then they swam back to the barracks with the villagers carrying Rolloth and Clast.
A cleric was sent for and he healed the dimernesti, the villagers were welcomed and put into housing; while all this occured General Kela went to talk to his leaders.
"How come only four of your task force actually went out there, when we specifically gave you clerics and other dimernesti? Those clerics would have been useful, hte dimernesti Clast barely made it back here, but luckily he is fine and will recover."
General Kela then spoke, "We took a great officer, a shapeshifter, a war wizard, a healer and I myself went as well. We were up againist thirty of them, we managed to kill them all and no prisoners were harmed. Actually, Sir, I thought that was quite good. Also we found out that the sahaugin are taking clerics from the villages."
Kela's leader nearly blew his top when he heard his best general being rude and defiant, but he changed suddenly when he heard about the clerics. "What are you telling me that the sahaugin attackd the villlage imprisoned the population and then kidnapped the clerics and took them off somewhere?"
"Yes Sir."
He thought about this, "No one knows where there took the clerics?"
"No sir, they were sahaugin and so the villagers couldn't understand them."
"Right here are your next orders, you are to go to the Temple of Habbakuk out in the ocean, at Cresent Ridge. Find out if they have had trouble there, if the sahaugin are after clerics, then they will definately be around there."
Kela saluted and left his leader puzzleing over the event that had occured. Kela told the group that they were off again. "Because this temple is more than a week away, we have to use the dolphins, right you have all swum with the dolphins, remember no galavanting the dolphins love playing around but we have to get there quickly."
Kela whistled for the dolphins and three came up, he looked at Clast. "Sorry I ws assuming you were going to shape change."
Kela set off before he heard his answer from Clast. Kela loved swimming with the dolphins, they moved evenly and with great speed, unike the seahorses who seemed to buck every five metres. Kela stopped that night at the Cresent ridge, it would take another two days to get to the Temple following the Cresent Ridge around.
Kela waited for the others.

OOC: Sorry forgot to say earlier, Beardies Clast is a bit too hard, you can keep your shapechanging but could you not have hybrids thankyou.

Bio: Alendria wuz orphaned at a young age and taken in by Clerics, leading to her becoming one.

IC:Alendria dodged to the left as a net went flying passed her hitting and wrapping around a large stone. She swam for her life followed by twenty sahaugin, she didn't provoke the beasts, she was just on her way back to the temple when they came out and tried to get her.
She swam further and saw a dolphin, with another sea elf attach to it, she swam toward him in the hope of being saved.

OOC: No I am counting that he is going to shape change, as it shows that Kela has thought about the trip which he would do. I need him there as well as he can save the poor and helpless cleric and myself of course, as I don't think I can hold off twenty.

OOC: Ah, ok, yea, i got your OOC part, just not you in character part where the general was talking to him. So, I guess him and Rolloth are off to do the mission!!!

BIC: Clast also changed shape into a dolphin, and Rolloth swam out of a building and down to him. "We are behind the other dolphins sir, so we should hurry."

"yes, yes." Rolloth grabbed onto Clast's fin, and, as clast swam off, Rolloth cast a quick spell, it was a speed spell, and made Clast go quite a bit faster. They could see the other dolphin riders in the distance, and in a minute or so passed them, and continued to swim on towards the temple. Clast saw Alendria swimming, and looked behind her to see a considerable about of Sahuagin's following her. He swam down, and Rolloth grabbed her. They swam forward, being slightly faster then the sahuagins, but nets and spears kept flying by, and Clast was now waited down with two elves instead of one. Rolloth used a spell an old friend had taught him, Magic Missle, and fired it. He killed to Sahuagin's with it, but he knew there was no way he would be able to kill so many. So, he focused his spells on something else, protecting himself, Clast, and the young sea elf they had just picked up. He cast a shield, and a spear bounced right into where Rolloth's head had been, but then it fell useless to the ground. From behind the shield, Rolloth cast a few more small spells to try and slow the Sahuagin's down. He cast a spell that had some seaweed shoot out, and grab onto to five of the sahuagin's in the front of the pack, but quickly the sahuagin's cut themselves free. Next, Rolloth used a quick spell that made an invisible wall that several Sahuagin's swam into. They fell to the ground, stunned, but got up again to rejoin the chase. The Sahuagin's started gaining on the fatigued Clast, while Rolloth kept feebly trying to slow them down, his power waning.

OOC: Feel free to save us, any time now.... someone...

[Calus]

OOC: Ok Beardies has just taken the enemy counter (EC) down to 18.

IC: Kela, sighed in relief that someone had saved the poor lady, he swam towards the fleeing party, he threw one of his spears, which pierced one of the sahaugin. He wished he had more spears he could throw but he only had his prized spear left and so he prepared for the charge defiantly standing on top of a large rock.

Rolloth, seeing an oppurtunity took it. He saw the general standing on a rock, and had seen how could the man was with a spear. So, using a small bit of magic from the dolphins back, Rolloth was able to transport 5 spears that had been lying on the ocean floor over to the general. The rest of his magic was reserved to making sure they could stay one step ahead of she sahuagins. Rolloth, knowing this was needed, reached into a pouch on his wait. From there, he grabbed a small sea urchin. He grabbed it, and threw it at one of the Sahuagins. It hit it right in the throat, and the sahuagin fell. She sea urchin floated towards Rolloth again, and Rolloth knew eventually he would get it back, but for now he was using far to fast for it to catch up now. Rolloth just kept his fingers crossed the general could evin the odds a bit more, and maybe give Rolloth a chance to fight with his staff again, and give Clast a chance to shapeshift a bit more.

OOC: EC 16

[Calus]

General gave a warcry and raised his spear, the cry spread out along the ocean and grabbing the attention of the sahaugin. A couple stopped and looked around at him, they thought he was an easy target, they swam towards him; Kela was ready for them. He pointed his spear towards them, as they got closer they sudddenly dropped with three spears in them, Kela looked in amazement the sahaugin were still moving towards him with a great speed.
Kela swam from the rock and was followed by the two sahaugin dead on three spears with another two spears following. They were coming closer, he didn't get it, they were like homing in on him. He swam vertically down and found himself trapped againist a rock, the spears coming for him, he couldn't escape. He curled into a ball and cowered and braced for the impact. He held his prized spear so tightly his knuckles went white, he did not want to be seperated from his spear not even in death. Nothing happend, something should have happend.
He snapped his eyes open and shouted in fear as he was face to face with a sahaugin, he was about an inch away from Kela's face, instinct took over and Kela stabbed the sahaugin. But nothing happend again, the sahaugin didn't scream move or do anything.
Kela calmed down and looked he was totally amazed, the five spears (and two sahaugin) had stopped right in front of him. Kela took the spears and stood on top of the rock. He looked around for Clast, the cleric and Rolloth, they were swimming around still.
Kela threw the five new acquired spears and he killed five more sahaugin their bodies adding to the ones already littered on the floor.

OOC: Whoo, I bet you didn't see that coming beardies. lol. Remind me not to think of really good posts. EC is now 9.

OOC: Hehe, its not that wierd. I have some great plot twists lined up, except I don't want to use them because they could kill the thread...

BIC: Clast finally had to stop swimming, he was exhausted. He dumped off Rolloth and the cleric. Rolloth and Clast prepared to make their last stand. All of a sudden, Rolloth had a plan, he lifted his staff, and stabbed it into the ocean. The sand around it started to swirl, it became a raging sandstorm in fact. Using it as a destraction, Clast quickly turned into a large flounder that wouldn't be bothered by the sand. He swam in, and started biting at the Sahuagins randomly. R0ll0th on the other hand conjured up two knives that he sent in to fight for him. This went on for a few minutes, and when the sand was gone only three Sahuagins could be seen, they were gathered together in a tight circle. Under them a few pieces of the other Sahuagin's could be seem momentarily, until they were covered by the sand...

ooc- Gee thanks guys...you left me three...(sigh) ;)

bic- Koala had dismounted from her dolphin as soon as the Sahuagin were sighted and lay in wait for all of them to pass so she could swim back in the direction from where they came. Keeping close to the sea beds of coral Koala swan a fair distance before she came to a deep crevice in the sea floor and what she saw turned her blood to ice, hundreds of the enemy seemed to be converging down there..doing what she couldn't make out. Koala watched the goings on for a few minutes before turning back towards the temple and her group. Koala was confident she would return to find the General and the rest of the team victorius so she was taken a back when she saw the battle still being fought. Swimming quickly she darted in behind two sahuagin and useing her trident pierced one through the back and the other she kicked it's legs out from under it. As the beast was falling she quickly withdrew her weapon from the dead Sahuagin and turning plunged it into the fallen one. With two of the things dead Koala swam towards the last one fighting and engaged it in deadly combat, sidestepping a lethal blow, her weapon found it's mark ending the battle. Lifting her eyes Koala looked towards Kela and smiled a victorius smile untill she remembered what she had seen in the crevice.

Kela looked at Koala, "What is it?" he then also turned to the cleric, "My name is General Kela, we are on our way to the temple of Habbakuk, but seeing your amulet you are one of them. What happend?"

Koala stepped back to allow the cleric to answer the general, she knew Kela would want to hear her information when there was no one else nearby so he could plan out what to do with the news. Patiently Koala waited to hear what the cleric had to say.

"I am Alendria Whalesong and as you said, I am a cleric of the temple of Habbakuk," she said placeing a hand over her amulet, "I was making my way back to the temple when the sahuagin came after me, but I have done nothing to make them do so." then she looked at the whole group,"Thank you so much for helping me. I there anyway I can repay you?"

Clast turned towards her in his dolphin form, and turned his side to the left, where a large gash from a sahuagin spear could be seen. "Can you do anything for this?"

[Midnightstrider]

She turned to Clast, surprized to see the man who carried her in a different form. She stepped forward, placeing her hand on the gash and sliently said a prayer. She removed her hand and skin began to heal over the cut, leaving no mark.

"I give you my thanks," Clast said.

[Calus]

"We also need help to get to the Temple, we were expecting a large attack from sahaugin, and as the recent event has shown it might come true. We don't know the true location though could you take us there?" Kela said.

OOC: Sorry Kyra, right you can tell me about the wondful sight in the ridge now. :(

Koala caught Kela's arm before he could swim off with the cleric. " General I must speak with you a moment." and waited as the others swam ahead towards the temple. " Sir before engaging the Sahuagin, I veered off course and travelled back in the direction they had arrived from. Sir, there is a large force of Sahuagin not three leagues away deep in the northern crevice. I did not tally to make a count however I estimate there to be at least two hundred of them." Koala fell silent to allow the information to sink in then she looked towards the north " There would definetly be enough of them to take the tower Sir." she said quietly.

ooc- If I am not following what you had in mind, let me know and I will edit this post :) Then again I am having alot of fun...;)

bic- Koala nodded then without another word she turned and whistled for her dolphin. Mounted she raced to catch up with the others, slowly overtaking them. Koala came abreast of Clast and Rolloth and gestured them to stop their dolphins then raced forward towards Alendria who was leading the group. " Halt my lady." she yelled then slowed as the cleric turned towards her. " The General requires your assistance before we continue to the tower." she said pointing back the way they had came " Do hurry!" Koala turned away from the cleric before she could ask any questions and returned to where Clast and Rolloth were waiting for her. Dismounting from her dolphin Koala swam to Rolloth " General Kela needs you." she said and looked at Clast " And I need you." she looked around to be sure there was no one close to overhear her words and she quickly told both of them what Kela wanted them to do. " Clast we will need to make haste to the tower, we will plan for evacutaion and defense along the way." Keeping steady eyes on the two of them she asked " Are we clear on what needs to be done?" Nodding her head once Koala turned and called for her dolphin once more " Let's go."

Hearing the seriousness in Koala's voice, Alendria quicky swam to where the general was wating for her, "You reqested my assistance?" she asked the General.

[Calus]

OOC: Sorry Beardies, I have to write now and assume that you are with me otherwise I will forget my plan. :D

IC: General Kela turned around to see Alendria and Rolloth standing in front of him. "Koala has spotted a large group of Sahaugin, roughly 200, we can not take them out, but we can slow them down so we can prepare the clerics. I have sent Koala ahead to tell the clerics and we are to slow the sahaugin down. Right I have a plan, but you know your abilities better than I do, so please tell me and so we know what each other is doing. My plan is for Alendria to use her powers, to disturb the water in the ridge just infront and behind the sahaugin, this will throw dust in to the air, like a wirlpool or edi. Right, the sahaugin will stop and travel over the ridge to get past the dust clouds, but they won't be able to, because Alendria I want you to create another dust cloud above them. They will be blinded and disorientated, Rolloth this is where you come in I want you to use your seaweed spell and bind the sahaugin up together and to the walls of the ridge, that should slow them down."

OOC: Kyra and Beardies (Clast) could your next post be you arriving at the ridge please. But not actually getting to the temple.
The plan is meant to be a bit dodgy by the way, because he doesn't know much about magic and prayer and their limits. So feel free to come up with a different way, I wil bring in the sahaugin when you have both posted with your decisions.

"Yes, I can get there quickly, although I have never been to the clerical tower, I shall need you to guide me."

"And while me and Alendria are weaving our spells, what will you be during sir?"

A noise caught Kela's attention, he looked around and saw in the distance a great host of sahaugin easily more than two hundred were there, "Koala must have seen only a small part of the army, that army is massive." He turned back to the pair and said, "Well I was going to cause the ridge to fall, but as seeing this host, I think you two should do it, that way it will be quicker and then we can get the hell out of here."
Kela looked back at the host and called the dolphins, he waited for them to collapse the ridge walls and then they would all go off to the clerics temple.

OOC: Once we close the ridge, should it fall onto the Sahuagins? And, how many should it kill...

[Calus]

OOC: it will fall on the draconians killing about fifty and then too many to cout will survive, as they will shoot out of the ridge, the ridge is quite wide so only the sahaugins on the side will be killed. Oh and just as an after thought, after you have killed them, RUN.

Rolloth crouched over, right above where he would like to form the crack in the reef. He stuck it staff in there, and started chanting. From the tip of his staff, which was imbedded in the earth, coral started sprouting out. It pushed against the reef, and a large crack formed. The crack formed, but the reef stayed up. Rolloth yelled back, "Alendria, I need you to collapse the rest of it!"

Alendria stuck her staff in the ground as well and prayed. The crack grew quickly and ridge fell, killing 50 of their enemies. She looked at Rolloth"Let's hurry and get out of here." she said hurridly.

General kela made sure that the sahaugin were slowed down enough, grabbed a dolphin and swam off.

OOC: Whoops sorry Kyra and Beardies I forgot to continue your bits I am terribly sorry, and now I will have to apologise to midnightstrider cos you will have to be left out for the next few posts while Koala and Clast prepare for the seige.

When Koala and Clast arrive, they will see a large almost parthenon structure, then on top would be a large building with three floors and a tower at one end, they saw a sand cloud arise and a faint figure could be seen in the tower; little green specs were thrown up in the water and little screams could be heard.

OOC: right you two try and help them lol

Koala's eyes widened in shock " Oh no are we too late?" she muttered then a determined looked came on her face " We can't be, we won't be!" she said fiercly and spurred her dolphin towards the tower to help those inside.

The battle around the temple grew in intensity as the sahaugin got closer, Clast and koala barely made it back in time, as sahauing got closer and a large dust storm sprang up near them nearly pulling them up. A acolyte came to meet them, "Quickly get to safety there are many clerics stationed up in the temple you will be safe there."

OOC: Have a conversation with them Koala and Clast and then the rest of us will come in. By the way I am thinking a great siege :D

[Kyra Starleaf]

Koala swam over to a large group of clerics standing in a huddle talking all at once " Alright who's in charge here?" she yelled to be heard over the raised voices. An elder cleric stepped forth from behind the group and beckoned her. Koala looked over at Clast " See if you can get some order going on in here, Panick is the last thing we need." she said then swam over to the head cleric " We need to make a plan here, we must fortify the tower and try to keep everyone from panicking." Koala looked around at the tower walls " The windows must be covered and food stores monitored. We don't have much time."

[Calus]

The head cleric felt enraged by being ordered around by a petty sea elf, "How dare you..." he paused as he let his anger subside, he didn't have a clue on warfare and she looked like a decorated warrior. "Windows aare being done as we speak and the food is under lock and key like it always is. But what are we going to do, our magic has very little harmful ones Habbakuk reviles hurting people but in exceptions we have brought in the outlying vilagers, the fighting population has been sent up to the top floor and the others have been sent to the middle of the temple for help."

OOC: This is what I am thinking, Ardelia and Rolloth are going to be incharge of magic and so there for control the monks, Koalla and Clast are going to be incharge of spear throwers and tridents. Can I will pretend that I am looking after you all, but I will be the sahaugin army. How does that sound, by the way Koalla will in charge of the actual whole group of civillians and Clast can have just a sub-division. You still have time to change it.

IC : Entering the head cleric room in a hurry, '' Sir, priest Starfish asked me to say that the preparative are finished and that he bring me here to do what you will find the more useful.'' said Corallon bowing

"Ahh", said the Head Cleric," This is, actually I don't know her name, she has come to help could you show her around our defences and have her experienced eye over it all. After all she will probably be leading this ragbag of a group."

'' Yes sir! My lady, would you have the obligeance to follow me? I'll show you our defense.'' said Corallon with a bow to the lady.''May I know your name too?''

Koala nodded her head as she listened to the head cleric speak, all the while making plans that would have to implemented as soon as possible, when the new cleric arrived she focused her attention once more. " My name is Koala, and I am General Kela's second in command." she said " I am not trying to usurp your authority here, however the attack could come at anytime and I want everyone to be prepared." she said to the head cleric then turned to Corrallon " Please show me your defenses."

Koala nodded her head as she listened to the head cleric speak, all the while making plans that would have to implemented as soon as possible, when the new cleric arrived she focused her attention once more. "That is ok we are not a violent order, except for a couple of clerics, like Corallon here. He is one of our only clerics."

''Sure my lady, we shall go'' Corrallon walked outside the room with the lady, entering the court where big machines where installed behind the walls.''Here's the trident thrower with them we have a reach of 800 feet but the problem is that the lack of a bit of precision, our engineer are working on the affair.''

Koala surveyed the massive machine and admired it's potential " That's good, a strong defense and not many needed to man it. What else?" she asked assuming there were more defense stratigies in place.

After a walk, Corralon stood before an other big machine. ''ah... here's our pride.... the lance-throwers. Our most precises machines and the most long-reached, almost all our hopes are on those machines. We think the sahuagin will charge by this side so will be waiting them. Many units will be here. Waiting to protect if a breach is opened. That is all that I know the rest is confidential for it will not fall in the enemy hands. Do you want to see the infantry my lady?'' said Corralon

OOC: Hehe, just letting you guys know I'm still alive, its just been crazy around here, and will be for a few more days, but I'll be more involved soon...

Clast also inspecting what he and his companions would be working with, stepped over to look at the machine. He turned towards Corralon and asked "Yes, but can we really trust a machine over a flesh and blood elf? I would not trust my life to something that is nearly worshipped by gnomes."

Koala gave Clast a stern look then turned back towards Corralon " It will do fine as I stated earlier it will not require many to man this machine." she said " I will see your infantry now. Tell them to form ranks and be ready, the attack could come at any time." Koala started to swim off when she stopped and turned to Clast " I want you to return inside and find the head cleric. Make sure all is ready in the tower, the inside defenses and any civilians are all together in a secure place under guard in case any Sahuagin manage to get inside."

[Calus]

General Kela reached the top of the ridge near the temple of Habbakuk, he suddenly stopped his swim when a large dust storm appeared in the distance and Sahaugin were thrown backwards.
General Kela swam for the temple hoping that the clerics would recognise him, after all they had dolphins and the sahaugin wouldn't use dolphins. Kela swam inside the temple sending the dolphins away to safety, he turned to the first priest he saw, "Did you see a female called Koalla and a male called Clast?"
The priest shook his head, "Ask our Head Cleric he is over there."
kela swam over to the Head Cleric and talked to him, the Head Cleric then pointed up the stairs, Kela swam up and found Clast and Koalla talking to one of the defenders.

OOC : I've just realised that I've done a big error for a long time, i've always said that Corralon walk... but we're in the ocean so he's supposed to SWIM... sorry :D

IC :'' Follow me my lady, we need to go in the courtyard, there the infantry prepare themselves, that's one of their first battle so please consider that.'' Corrallon swam to the courtyard, there the elves were suprisingly well-ordened. The capitain were talking about the last preparatives and the little of the stategies they had done. The only big problem was the equipement of the infantry... they had what they could take anywhere... armors missing some parts and broken weapons were common in the troups.

BIC: Clast swam down through the building until he saw the cleric that obviously must be the leader by the gaudy robes he was wearing, and the age he seemed to display.

OOC: I am controlling the Head Cleric, Plus I am swimming up that same passage so...

IC: "Hello Clast", said General Kela as he saw Clast swimming towards him. "Where is the sargeant?"

"Up top inspecting the machines. Is that elf over there the head cleric?"

General Kela looked at him sternly, "Do I have to remind you of what rank I am? It is Sir, right? By the way that is the Head Cleric, what do you want to talk to him about?"

"Koala told me to find him...sir. I am supposed to make sure all inside defenses are ready for the Sahuagin attack."

[Calus]

"Right carry on, next time remember your station." General Kela swam up to Kyra talking to another sea elf. "Hello Koala I see you have made it safetly back. What are the defences like?"

Happy to have his "superior" gone, Clast swam over to the head cleric, where he did a quick bow. "Uh, sir, I must know how the defenses are looking for the building and courtyard? Will you need any more elves to help, or do you have enough clerics down their to fight them with their magic?"

[Calus]

Head Cleric: "We have enough to keep the Sahaugin occupied, but we can't kill with our prayers, so we can only create distractions and slow the sahaugin down. We have got a couple of traps we can use though. As long as your General is here, I think we might just be able to scrape through this, I have heard of him before, he held a small fort with only 40 people in it againist a large force of sahaugin."

OOC: If anyone recognises that, this is fake and so isn't plaguerised hee hee.

"Ok, that is good. I think I may stay down here and help your clerics to delay the sahuagin." Suddenly, a form was seen swimming frantically towards the building. It was Rolloth, he was gasping, but was able to say to Clast "We...were...able to....delay...sahuagin. Kille...some."

"Good," Clast said. "Do you think you could stay down here and help me "stall" the Sahuagain a little more."

Rolloth nodded up and down, but just wuickly gasped "Just...let...me...have...little...rest."

[Calus]

"Koala, hello?", he looked over at the other sea elf and said, "My name is General Kela, I will take charge of the siege, and who are you?"

[Kyra Starleaf]

Koala nodded as the General swam forward. Waiting for the general to be brought up to spped on the towers defenses Koala allowed her eyes to raom over the tower walls, looking for weak spots that would have to be more heavily defended. With a glance back towards the assembled troups, she sighed, they were too few and the Sahuagin were many, just how long would they hold out before the tower were overrun she wondered.

[Midnightstrider]

Alendria swam at top speed in efforts to get to the general. She was exhausted and was ready to give up when she found him. "The sahaugin...are coming..... fast" she panted.

[Calus]

General Kela looked over the battlements and saw the Sahaugin moving towards the Temple. General Kela sounded a horn next to his side, the call passed across the temple, although no one had heard his horn blow before, they all knew what it meant.

OOC: Right this is how it is going to work, Beardies you will have control of the magic users (which is only you) and also skirmishers (who will be at the front of the army to just to kill as many Sahaugin before running back to the temple, I suppose Clast can go in and take a few of the enemies out from behind or something). Midnight Strider can you take control of the clerics please. Papytofu could you take control of the sea elves who are the kind-of archers but throw spears and tridents. Kyra could you take control of the infantry. I will take control of the trident and Spear throwers (the machines) and keep general overview. Is that ok for everyone? It will be a lot quicker and less painful if you kill regiments in chunks rather than individually, i.e. Papytofu can send a volley of spears and arrows and take out half a regiment.

IC: Right you know your post go to them and make sure that the sahaugin don't survive. General Kela looked behind him as sea elves manned the Trident and Spear thrower. He turned back towards the army in front of him, they had 24 regiments, they all were swimming very fast towards the temple. Koala held 10 regiments, Papytofu 2, Clast/Rolloth 2, and Midnightstrider 1 large one. General Kela then sounded his horn once more, he put his hand down and a trident and spear shot passed his head.
The giant trident and spear were the only weapons that could reach the sahaugin at the moment, except the clerics, Rolloth's magic and the skirmishers. The large ammunition sailed through the water, creating a thin stream of bubbles. The sahaugin saw the ammunition they moved out of the way, but the ranks at the back were caught by the speeding polearms. The ammuniton passed out the back of the army taking two halves of a regiment with them (OOC: 23 left).

Rolloth ordered all of the skirmishers to throw their spears. As they did, Rolloth cast a very tiring, yet very effective spell, that multiplied the spers by two. He would only be able to use this spell once, but it was very effective. Clast hadn't been seen for a while, a Rolloth hoped he was fairing well. The spear throwers had taken out 2 whole regiments, right in the heart of the army.

Clast had decided to go for a ride. He had changed into the form of a spear. He was now lodged in a sahuagin chest, but was quickly grabbed out by another Sahuagin. As the Sahuagin held clast in his hand, CLast quickly changed forms into one of his favorites, the octopus. The Sahuagin turned with a surprised look on its face to see a large octopus attached to its hand. It started flailing about, as Clast moved up its arm. He made his way onto its neck, and put his tentacles over the Sahuagins gills, suffocating him.

Rolloth had one last great spell in him, he told the Skirmishers to fire again, this time he attached a spell around every spear that flew that made the water around it boil with intense heat. As the sahuagins raised shields this time, the spears stuck into the wood, which was then quickly dropped as the sahuagins were scalded horribly. Another regement went down. Clast, seeing the bubbling water, and realizing the spell, quickly turned into a rock, and pleasantly watched as the sahuagins around him were boiled.

OOC: A nice even 20 regements.

[Kyra Starleaf]

Koala boomed her voice out over the battlements to be heard above the shouts and clanking of armor " Everyone form ranks! I want the courtyard doors to be thrown open at my command then we engage the enemy. Any questions?" Koala eyed the lines of recruits in front of her and recieved only steely gazes back, nodding her head to herself she led the battalion to the front gates then gave the signal for the doors to open.The sight beyond the courtyard froze her blood, hundreds of Sahuagin came rushing forth. Steeling herself Koala raised her trident and let forth a bloodcurdling battle cry, pointing her trident forward she led the charge against the sahuagin, cutting a deadly swath down the center of the rushing horde.

[papytofu]

'' FEEL THE WRATH OF BRANCHALA!!'' shouted Corallon charging on the horde of sahaguin. Killing many of them with his trident. ''BRANCHALA,GIVE ME YOUR HOLY POWERS!'' the trident started to glow in a feint blue tint. Corrallon fighted bravely against all the enemy he could see, opening a wat to the small troup of spearmans he was leading. ''We must lure the enemy in the spearthrower range friends!Shouting the only curse he knew in sahaguin language,Corrallon started to swim at full speed at the spearthrower. Followed by a dozen of Sahaguin. ''Damn, they aren't enough to follow me.''

OOC : Sorry I was sick for a long time and he thought this thread was dead, but i'm happy that it isn't the case! :)

[Calus]

Kela watched the carnage from below, the skirmishers had worked well. The skirmishers are now back with Koala, Beardies and Clast were on their way back. Kela looked across and saw that a sea elf with a glowing trident was being followed by a small group.

OOC: Well Papytofu I thought I assigned you to the 'archers' but never mind I will control them as well then.

IC: kela called the 'archers' forward, he placed them at the highest point so that they could throw their ammunition in to the mass. He raised his arm and brought it down, two thwacks and many shouts accompanied the motion. Two large ammunition and 2 regiments worth of spears and tridents passed through the water, screams and shouts of anger and revenge reverbarated through the water, as a total of two regiments were taken out.

OOC: Down to 18. Well I reckon your troops Koala are within range for a charge.

[Midnightstrider]

"In the name of the gods, as well as your own safety," Alendria called to her fleet,"instill pain upon the enemy!" Ice began to freeze around three regiments of sahaugin. The creatures looked around, confused at what was happening when their bodies began to crush between the forming ice. A gigantic ice block formed around the sahaugin, sending then floating to the surface.
Turning Alendria saw Koala and her obaying recruits were out numbered. "Help them!" she commanded, pointing to the unfair battle. Another three regiments fell over, without a trace of bloodshed and died.

[Kyra Starleaf]

ooc- we have been fighting hand to hand, just haven't managed to take out the whole battalion yet;)

ic- Koala'a arm was getting tired, for every sahuagin she killed it seemed there were five more to take it's place however she would not retreat or surrender the fight. Her eyes steady on the sahuagin she was battleing it seemed she was unaware of the things transpiring around her however that was disproved when she suddenly dropped to her knees and a saber thrust from behind meant for her peirced the heart of the sahuagin in front of her, thursting her trident sharply behind her she felt immense satisfaction at the feel of it striking solid flesh and hearing a scream of pain. Time seemed to stand still untill suddenly there were no more enemy weapons searching for her, the path in front was clear. Turning back to look towards the tower Koala noticed that her troops had finally managed to fight there way to victory against the battalion fo sahuagin that had been intent on entering the tower from the north side. Wiping away a thin stream of blood from a cut on her forehead Koala allowed only a moments rest before she ordered her troops to once again form ranks and swim towards the fighting still going on on the east side of the tower.

The sahaugin slowed down in their charge, as over half their army was destroyed, they were close enough for the 'archers' to get them and some had charged the main force, but they were too close for the large artillery. They swam around in a swarm and encircled the regiments of sea elf combatants, the archers still pummeled the sahaugin killing another regiment. General Kela looked for Koala, Clast, Corallon and Rolloth, he couldn't see any of them and hoped that someone could do something. He then looked at Alendria with the clerics, four regiments of sahaugin split off from the main group and charged the clerics. There was only one thing for it, it was risky but he was desperate, he looked at the artillery behind him and told them to shoot into the minor group of sahaugin.
The giant ammunition was loosed without any particular aim, but luckily the sahaugin were close enough to feel the power of the ammunition; the sahaugin were now fewer and most easily swam out the way of the trident and spear, taking only one regiment out. General Kela readied his spear and stood in front of the clerics, ready to defend with his life.

OOC: Ok Koala and main army, you are surrounded by 6 units, Alendria, priests and I have 3 units.

OOC- Gee Thanks.....:)

IC- Koala did not know how much time had passed since the battle first started, it could have been minutes, it could have been hours. It felt like days. Her small regiment of fighters were grouped together back to back fighting non-stop all the while Sahuagin swam all around, Koala was unsure how many were left, all she knew was to keep fighting. Bodies fell all around and the water was a murky red with blood, making the battle seem unreal in a red haze. The screams of the wounded and dying rang in her ears drowning out the shouts of commands she tried to relay to her fighters. Suddenly from in front a large Sahuagin was making it's way through the main force, seemingly indiscriminatly striking both sea elves and sahuagin with it's trident. Koala was perplexed by this untill she noticed that it did not stop to finish off it's victims, simply scratched them and continued on. Once it's target was scratched it was not long before the victim fell to the ocean floor in convulsions. Poison! she thought We must retreat back to the tower, we can not battle this! Drawing in a great gulp of air/water she shouted at the top of her voice to be heard " RETREAT!" The sea elves fighting alongside her realized the situation and immediatly began to fall back, grabbing others along the way. Koala stayed behind to guard their backs and to face the large Sahuagin with the poison tipped trident who seemed to be coming straight for her. Looking around her quickly Koala realized that there were a great many more dead Sahuagin than sea elves littering the sand and she knew that this was the end of the battle one way or another. Drawing up the last reserves of her strenght Koala met the first thrust of the deadly trident head on, parrying the strike to the left and bringing up her foot to crush against the monsters leg. It struck out with the trident once more as it went down but Koala danced out of the way, all the while falling back to the tower's entrance. She swam backwards keeping her eyes on the tridents points as they came ever closer to piercing her skin, blocking when she could, and striking out with her own weapon. The tower was at her back when Koala tripped over the body of a sahuagin and went down, seeing the trident coming for her she threw her own with as much force as she could and had the satisfation of watching as her trident drove itself deep into the monsters chest, yet even as it fell dead, it's own trident furrowed a long scratch down her arm and just that quickly Koala could feel the cold of the poison entering her blood stream. She knew she had to get back to the tower and find a cleric soon or she was dead. Getting up slowly she took deep even breaths to slow her heart beat and walked slowly into the tower gates that were being held open by two sea elves. " Cleric" she whispered as they came up beside her after sealing the tower doors, then fell to the ground as the first convulsion racked her body.

ooc- Not sure but I will say that we took out 5 units before we bought it..;)
The last unit turned tail and ran.....:) It's all up to you guys now!

[Midnightstrider]

Noticeing General Kela protecting the clerics, Alendria glanced around, seeing how she could help. She looked towards the doors and saw Koala in a convulsion. Alendria swam as fast as she could in Koala's direction. Once she reached the suffering elf, she knelt down beside her, and placed her hand upon her forehead. She prayed, as hard as she could, for a few minuites, pleading the gods to grace Koala and heal her. Slowly the convulsions stopped, but she continued to pray, she owed it to her rescuers to make sure she had a full recovery.

[Calus]

General Kela saw the swarm coming for the clerics, through him, the 'archers' couldn't shoot at the sahaugin just incase they hit the clerics or even their general and the artillery were too close, and the infantry were still fighting.
General Kela took a deep breath and realised his fate, he picked up his throwing spears. He threw one and as it flew through the air it seemed to glow and on impact with a sahugin there was a small explosion, killing a couple of sahaugin and wounding a few more. He looked around and saw a cleric looking at him and the cleric said "Well keep throwing then" and another cleric said, "I will get your spears back".
General Kela managed to throw fifteen more spears off at the sahaugin, one cleric enchanting the spears and the other retrieving them. All in all that killed off one more regiment (down to 2 againist the clerics, and Koala and co will still be fighting with the main chunk at this point).
Kela looked around, they were surrounded, he heard a yelp from beside him as a net passed over his head and trapped two clerics together. But instead of getting out of them they just sank to the ground, meanwhile another group of clerics went down, the barb tips on the net, were filled with poison to make the victim fall asleep, this explained why the sahaugin were able to take the other clreics. Kela couldn't do anything, he was close enough to kill a few sahaugin, but that still wasn't enough as a large chunk of the clerics were now on the floor. He turned his head to see how many clerics were still standing, but it was a mistake, as a rock, launched by one of the sahaugin glanced off his head. Kela hit the floor blanking out immediately, he was unconcious.

The sahaugin used the last of their nets, then came along and picked up the victims, they all swam off in the direction of the crevice and disappeared with them. Koala and company had just finished fighting and Koala had stumbled through the gates. Therefore only two clerics were still with the group Alendria (Midnightstrider) who is healing Koala at this point and Corallon (Papytofu) who was in the fighting force.

[papytofu]

After his group had managed to eliminate the sahaugin, Corralon saw the sahaugin who were fleeing with prisonners. Without thinking a second Corrallon led his group at their tail. '' We can't let our comrad be tortured by those pesky beast, Let's go my friend!'' he was now with a group of 6 remaining soldiers. '' Two of us will go advertise the rest of the army that i'm going to retrieve the prisoners. Say them that I don't want any reinforcement. Let's go we can't waste any second.'' Corrallon healed his four last comrad and he began to swim at the dark crevice...

The two scout swam in direction of General Kela. Seeing that the general was unconscious they fought bravely against the sahaugin who were cirling him. One of the two died. Seeing that his friend was dead the other cried in rage. Not so long after he realized that he managed to kill them all. '' General... general... please .... wake up! I have an important message for you! WAKE UP!!! YOU CAN'T LET US DIE HERE! Corallon is going to save the prisoner! please hear me!

[Calus]

General Kela groaned as he felt the hits and shouts againist his poor throbbing head. He put a hand to his head and suddenly flipped his eyes open, "the clerics", he said jumping up. He looked over into the distance and saw the last of the Sahaugin disappearing into the crevice, he looked around and saw that one cleric was still there, Alendria had just finished healing Koala. He spotted everyone of his group and turned to the two people who woke him, "We will regroup there, and go, there are only a few of us left and so it shouldn't be too hard." Kela swam down to the temple floor, "Right Corallon has followed the sahaugin, Koala, Clast, Alendria and Rolloth we will go after Corallon, the sahaugin and the other clerics. The rest of you are going to escort the families back to the capital. Understood?" there was a corus from the soldiers, "Yes sir". He then looked at his companions, "Are you ready to leave?"

[Kyra Starleaf]

Koala stood on unsteady legs, still pale and shaky from the effects of the poison even thought it was no longer in her system thanks to Alendria. Pulling herself upright she stared at General Kela " I am always ready Sir." She knew that this could very well be a suicide mission however she was prepared to lay down her life for the cause of freedom. Looking around her at the small group prepareing to go to battle the remaining force of Sahuagin and rescue the clerics Koala foresaw very little chance of success, then again the determination shining out of General Kela's eyes allowed Koala spark of hope.

[Midnightstrider]

Alendria put her arm around Koala's shoulder, helping her up. She looked at General Kela with a look that said, "I'm ready, and I'll do whatever it takes."

[papytofu]

Corralon swam down in the crevice, he wasn't able to see anything in the darkness. After an heartbeat, he heard some sahuagin's voices. Corrallon didn't knew if Sahuagin were able to see in the darkness. He was praying Branchala from the bottom of his heart that it wasn't the case and waited patiently to be able to locate the prisoners. '' Dang, I can't see anything here, I'm really in big trouble... But they need my help'' thought the cleric. ''
Can you see anything? I think the only way to find the prisoners would be to distract all the sahaugin and they would leave the nets. So i'll start to shout and they'll charge on me. I'll try to flee, and by this time you should be able to locate and save the prisoners. But I think it would have more effect if we give the illusion that we are a lot of people.We need to think...'' he said to the two last soldiers that were with him

General Kela looked around him, he called the dolphins to his side and started riding off down the crevice he quickly caught up with Corallon, seeing him enter the cave. He swam in after him, and heard his plan, "Alendria could we have some light please, Corallon do you think that is such a good plan."
He heard some mumbling behind him and a light source sprang up from Alendria he looked about in the cave and was horrified to relise he had swam into a trap, there was a large rumbe from behind him as stones and rocks piled into the cave blocking the entrance. "Oh great, we are trapped."

[Midnightstrider]

Alendria responded to General Kela by eminateing a bright light from her staff. She felt herself grow weak as the light shone. I cannot use my magic much longer, she told herself. She then heard a great tumbling sound from behind her. She turned only to see the entrance cave in. "Well it seems as if our 'luck' has run out," she sighed.

[Kyra Starleaf]

Koala looked back at the now blocked entrance to the small cave "Well there is no help for it, we have two choices, either we try to dig ourselves out of that " she said gesturing towards the piles of rocks and boulders at the mouth of the cave " Or we can go deeper into the cave and look for another way out. Personally Sir, I would look for another way. Should we find one the Sahuagin would not be aware that we have escaped and it would greaten our chances of freeing the prisoners." Koala looked towards General Kela and awaited his decision.

[Calus]

General Kela slowly sank to the rock floor, trying to think of what to do, he looked at the light that Alendria had conjured; it was fading. He looked around at the entrance, there was no way they could get through that, he looked further in to the cave.
Kela swam off the bottom and talked to his companions, "you are right Koala it would be easier to go further in, lets move out people, Alendria are you alright to travel for a bit more or do you want to be carried?"

[Midnightstrider]

Sruggling to keep the light shineing, Alendria leaned against the wall for support. "I do not wish to be a burden, but I do not know how much longer I can stay standing. A ride would be nice." she smiled,dispite the grim situation.

[Kyra Starleaf]

"Perhaps it would be best if you allow the light to go out." Koala said to Alendria " The floor seems smooth enough and we can all follow the walls of the cave. With no light we shall be able to see if there is any light further in the cave that may lead the way to a possible exit." Koala swam over to led the cleric her support as she had previously lent Koala hers " You must also save your strenght, we may have more urgent need of your skills soon enough." she said quietly.

[Midnightstrider]

Alendria smilied, "Thank you," she said greatfully. She was extreamly thankful she had crossed to path of these people, she had never been treated with such kindness. The light dimmed and all they could see was darkness.

[Kyra Starleaf]

" General, may I suggest we keep together and follow close to the wall." Koala siad into the darkness in the direction she knew Kela to be " I am able to walk point if you wish Sir."

[Calus]

OOC: Lol very sorry, I was a little busy and I wanted to post on here, but forgot very sorry :o . Thanks Kyra for doing that. I have sent a PM to Beardies about a week ago and he hasn't replied so I am afraid we have lost two :( .

IC: "Thank you Koala, I was trying to think of the future events and forgot about the present. Right this is what we are going to do, Koala as you have volunteered you can take point. Alendria your in the middle, we need to protect you, Corallon go in front of Alendria but behind Koala; and I will protect the rear."
The group travelled down the large tunnel, occasionally Kela would turn around as he heard a voice behind him or a shuffling of stones. He looked ahead and saw to his dismay a large underground city, lights shone all around, towers reached up from the bottom to just below the ceiling of the great cavern, houses and caves peppered the side of the cavern. They were standing on the edge of a large plateau, they couldn't see the bottom or the other end, but there was so many things to look at.
In the distance General Kela saw sahaugin circling and inhabiting the caves and houses around the edges but none seemed to be going near the tower in the middle where all the light was coming from. General Kela scanned the horizon once more, when he noticed that Alendria had started glowing, at first it was only faint but now it grew brighter. Then he saw Corralon start glowing, he and Koala hadn't started glowing only the cleric and priestess.

''What the ... Branchala is it you my lord who make me glow like that?'' said Corralon speaking to his god in a low tone. Corrallon tightened his grasp on his trident, ready to encounter the worst.

[Kyra Starleaf]

" Oh no, " Koala muttered just before she grabbed Alendria and Corrallon by their arms and dragged them back deeper into the tunnel untill the mysterious glowing could no longer be seen at the mouth of the tunnel. Koala could only hope that they had not yet been spotted and were safe from discovery untill the group could formulate a plan.

IC: Kela looked in dismay as he saw a group of sahaugin that was swimming around stop and look his way. Koala moved the clerics and priests out of the way, and the sahaugin came to investigate; Kela hid to one side of the tunnel entrance and the sahaugin come closer. There was only 8 of them but they were still dangerous; Kela brought his throwing spears out and was ready to throw them, the sahaugin swam closer, and Kela pounced. Kela through a spear killing a sahaugin (EC: 7), the sahaugin swam toward him, Kela threw another spear taking out another sahaugin (EC: 6). Kela readied another spear, as he lifted it he was thrown back againist the wall, as a net wrapped around him; his eyes widened as he saw 6 tridents pointing towards him.

Alendria was surpirzed by her sudden strangth gain. She was even more surprized to realize she and Corrallon were glowing, beeing to exhuased to notice before. She could hear voices, and immeaditly knew something was wrong. "What happened to General Kela?" she asked the others.

[Kyra Starleaf]

Koala looked back over her shoulder towards the mouth of the tunnel. Immediately she saw the General had been surrounded and currently had no less than six tridents pointing at him. Koala closed her eyes and leaned back against the wall of the tunnel, she knew she had to get to the general, however she was loath to leave the cleric and the priest for at no cost were they to be captured...they were too important to the success o ftheir current mission. As much as Koala hated to admit it, the General was on his own for now. Koala turned her head to watch to see what the Sahuagin decided to do with their prize.

''What are you waiting for general Koala? ,said Corralon angrily,We aren't so much important for the mission, the general Kela is! We shall go help him!'' Not waiting a second for an answer, Corralon charged to go help . He trusted his trident in the torso of one of the sahuagin (EC : 5 )who was threatening the general, and poke the other pole of his weapon right in the eye of an other sahuagin before to finish him ( EC : 4). Corralon wasn't knowing if it was the strange glowing that was doing that be he seemed that his blows were more powerful. '' Are you okay general? '' he said just when a cloud of blood covered his face, he had killed another sahuagin (EC : 3)

[Calus]

Kela's body was paralysed from the restricting nets, the only thing that could move were his eyes, he looked at Corralon and struggled, his eyes widening, as he saw a sahaugin move up behind the cleric. The sahaugin was wielding a net, ready to throw over the cleric, who was saving his life.

[Midnightstrider]

Alendria russed towards General Kela and Corralon. She was not so sure that they were not important in this mission, but she knew the General needed help. She swam between the sahaugin and Corralon, ignoreing the glow surrounding her. The sahaugin's eyes clouded over and it fell to the ground dead.(EC:2)

''Thanks, miss Alendria, I'm in debt with you.'' Spoting another sahuagin the cleric thrown his trident right in his face, killing him in one blow. '' Lady Alendria could you free the general by the time I kill the last of these pesky beasts?'' Taking his trident back, Corrallon prepared himself to charge on the last one.

Alendria nodded and began working at untangeling the nets. It took a few minuites, but when she finished he made sure the General wasat full health before she helped him up.

[Calus]

Kela broke out of his net with the help of Alendria and threw his spear into the last remaining sahaugin. Alendria and Corallon stood out among the cavern as their light spread, Kela then called to the others, "We have to get the tower and quickly."
Kela and the group swam on, sahaugin turned and saw the great golden balls, that were Alendria and Corallon were, swim along. The sahaugin grouped together at the tower, there were about 20 of them standing guard over the entrance.
Kela threw a javelin into the group of sahaugin (not sure if you are going to enchant my javelins again).

''Branchala, give my friend's javelin the power to achieve his work!'' The javelin got illuminated and it killed two sahaugin that were too near of each other

'' Those sahaugin are testing my nerves!Be brave friend we shall see the end of this war, and our victory!'' Corallon charged, but a sahaugin's trident found his way in his shoulder. Corallon gnarled. He removed the trident in one move and continued his charge, leaving a big cloud of blood behind him. He trusted his trident in the first sahaugin he saw, the sahaugin stumbled on the ground, lifeless. But in no more time than a second all the littles devils were around him, cuting and perforing his skin anywhere where his coral armor wasn't shielding.'' It's time my friend! Charge in this tower, I'll keep those sahaugin busy. Don't be afraid, I don't think branchala want me to die today,he shall help me'' shouted Corallon out of breath.

[Calus]

Kela knew he had to get Alendria safely away, but he also wanted Corallon away. Kela called to Koala and Alendria, "Quickly get inside I am coming with you, I just need to take some of these guys out for Corallon."
Kela threw most of javelins off, leaving only a couple on his person, eight more sahaugin were killed; he then swam off after him.
