[Sorius The Stormlord]

ooc-i flipped through some posts but im gonna try and start and adventure im a newbie, and well enjoy its all in fun and games- lets say this is within the timeframe of pre-lost battles, magic is in its prime, im not gonna try and get too technical, so if im off with something dont tell me and have a blast, i dont know if narration usually goes on but consider my character sorius as sort of an npc and me the narrator ill guide the player characters throughout the journey, i will also give ample time for anyone interested to reply every night we shall move forward deeper into the story so whoevers interested join on up give a slight backround (time matters not)

...a feminine voice whistling gracefully through the wind, barely audible, a delicate whisper flowing through the river of time, from whence it came cannot be discerned, yet its meaning holds a wealth far beyond the worth of the finest jewels in all of Krynn...

"As I stand in darkness...I feel the warmth of the light upon my skin and I know my face is turned towards the sun, for my eyes are forever shrouded by darkness. But if you who can see look too long in the sun, you will lose your sight, just as those who live too long in the darkness will lose theirs..."

A claw of lighting rips across an open field, seemingly out of nowhere a fierce storm has risen from the south onto the plains of dust, a figure appears between the red and blue forked tongues the mystical blasts that tore down from the heavens, shrouded in black robes tinged with gray seams, Sorius has at last arrived home after many years of travel and study, his purpose, to gather together a fellowship wrought of hardened adventurers from all over krynn, to aid him in his own quest for knowledge and power. As he sets his foot down on the cold hard plains he walks forward towards his castle, cleverly built in the middle of what seemed to be barren wasteland. His modestly sized castle needs no walls, no moat, only a simple large wooden gate prevents any who wander past from entry, which had it ever occured would be all that the castle needed, for those who wish to enter uninvited would have to push through gale force winds as well as dangerous lightning which flared randomly about the castle with such ferocity a kender might think twice about stepping within a few hundred feet of the raging storm. Yet it is a wondrous sight to behold,
For two large spires erupted out of what seemed to be an eternal fog, a faint glow from one of the windows could be seen, this is where Sorius would soon send out his requests for brave adventurers who would dare partake of what he had planned. As he walked towards the large wooden doors two eyes materialized out of the darkness. "Greetings master, it has been long since you have returned, i hope that you have found what you were searching for..." Sorius cut the words short, "yes, yes, everything has went well as i have planned but for now i must rest for soon I shall depart again on what might be my final adventure, for the roads are dark and long, i shall retire to my study, we shall soon have some guests, i must prepare for their arrival, i shall send word of who i have invited so that you may allow them to enter unharmed, for now i shall go." with those last words sorius enetered his keep and traveled through dimly lit corridors and up a spiral staircase to a well lit room, his study. Here he sat and pulling out parchments began writing the messages which would bring those he desired to his home...
"Greetings freinds,
You will most likely not know who i am, but i bring to you an offer, an offer of wealth, knowledge, and a most fabulous adventure. I seek brave men and women to undertake a journey with me, of this journey i dare not speak more of lest ye be in person, you are invited, then, to come to my castle, where we can discuss this further, a meeting shall commence with those of you who would wish to join me in my travels, in 3 weeks time. You shall head to the plains of dust, a three days journy southeast of thorbadin, there you will find all the answers to the questions which will undoubtedly plague your mind after reading this letter."

let it be known, sorius is a powerful wizard of the black robes, shunned the the conlave, and deemed to be insane, he is a dabbler in extraplanar studies,these of which he was outcast as a threat, yet noone dared to challenge him, he was actually considered more of a nuisance than threat, might be seen as "kenderlike" to those who wear the robes, yet those who have seen the mad glint in his eye cannot help but feel a tinge of fear. He is also a master of the elements, he has guarding his castle, two powerful elementals summoned by him for his protection, many experiments have been performed there which has rumoured to have poisoned his mind, as well as rumours hat the castles also exists on more than one plane. Those who have looked upon the castle see not a hard conrete surface, but through a foggy haze, walls and spires which seem to exist and not exist at the same time.

Sex: Female

Appearence: Long black hair pulled back, brown eyes, she has a dangerous beauty but she doesn't let it get in the way. And most of the time uses it to get what she wants. She is tall and this but muscular from all her training and the fighting she does. She used to be a dark knight, but eventually was to be killed. She now wears all black clothing, tends to need to keep herself hidden especially around any dark knights that might be around.
Weapon: Standard long sword, and a couple of daggers[hidden].

Bio: Carla spent most of her life in the knights, her parents were part and they still have no proof that she was involved in their deaths. She has learded plenty from them, to get what she wants, to manipulate others, and to watch her back at all times (to bad they didn't follow their own advice). As time passed she betrayed on to many people and was going to be put to death, if not for one compainion she would have died. He helped her to escape, and she has never seen him again. She now hides herself from the knights, steals what she needs, or charms someone into giving it to her. She now travels around trying to find a place for herself.

Carla woke up this morning, coming down from her room to eat something. The tavern owner gave her a letter, she did not know the person who had sent this to her . She didn't even go around telling anyown her name. But one thing she did know, was the wealth that was mentioned in the letter. If she could get that, she could do something with herself. She could even buy the dark knights that so easily desposed of her. Yes, she would do this. She at her meal and grabbed supplies and started making her way to the designated place to meet.

appearance: Illeria has short cropped silver hair that just reaches her collar and coveres her ears nicely, she wears a midnight blue tunic with a leather breastplate underneath, and black leggings, she carries a short sword at her side and a dagger hidden in her black boots. She also wears a long black cloak with a cowl hood to hide the delicate lines of her elven features.

ic: Illeria walked in the front door of the Inn and stood for a moment assessing the crowd, sensing no danger from the patrons she stepped up to the long counter and called for the innkeeper " I require a room for the night" she demanded and stared at the man with cold eyes untill he returned with a room key for her " Will you be staying long in our fair town?" he asked, Illeria took the key from his hand and without a reply walked towards the stairs that led to the upstairs quarters. The innkeeper shook his head " Just a shame that such a pretty lady should be so hard." he muttered to himself " Ah well tis none of my concern" and continued about his work. Upstairs Illeria took off her cloak and settled in front of the window in her room, withdrawing a crumpled piece of paper she studied it, as she had done every day since recieving it three days ago. Smoothing out the wrinkled edges, Illeria reread the words once more then peered out the window, a thousand questions running through her mind..who was this Sorius, how did he know of her, what did he want..all this and more flashed through her mind untill with a sigh she pushed the thoughts away and made ready to bed down for the night. She would continue her journey in the morning.

Bio: Left Thorbardin, well I say left it was more like chucked out, hated by the dwarves under Thorbardin for his crimes againist Dwarfdom (he tried to convert everyone to follow Chaos, the Father of All and of Nothing. He gave that up) and was despised by Hill Dwarves for being a Duergar. Roams around and occasionaly kills a few people.

IC: "Barkeep, another drink!" he shouted slamming his empty mug down on the table. A couple of people looked around at the outburst, some imtimidated others just ignored him. Brass just scowled at them.
A mug was placed on the table and so the dwarf just concentrated on his ale.

Sorius glares feverishly at his spellbooks, making the final preparations, practicing the incantations over and over, he must get this right or it would spell doom for all. He eventually wanders down into the darkness of an empty hallway, he whispers words of magic, and a small passage opens in the wall before him, he travels down....down...One more night ill give them one more night...

Sorius glares feverishly at his spellbooks, making the final preparations, practicing the incantations over and over, he must get this right or it would spell doom for all. He eventually wanders down into the darkness of an empty hallway, he whispers words of magic, and a small passage opens in the wall before him, he travels down....down...One more night ill give them one more night...


Carla spends a while making her way to the planes of dust, she is covered head to toe, trying to keep the sand out. She is finally on her third day southeast of Thorbadin, she is starting to get read to give up. She mumbles to herself "This is a fools quest or a trap, perhaps the knights are hiding waiting for me to fall into their trap. I should have never came here." she looks around one last time before she leaves.

As you travel closer to the castle in front of you, as if guided by some unseen force, you are led through the raging storm into a large waiting room, here you wait for the rest of the travelers to arrive. One by one you all eventually arrive, at this point Sorius enters the room. "Come with me...your journey was long, I have prepared a feast in the audience hall where we shall discuss why your here, touch nothing(glaring at the thief and kender)for i cannot be held responsible for any limbs that might be rent from your bodies(still glaring at the kender), though i trust you are all far too hungry and thirsty to wander off and cause yourselves any trouble." He beckons for you all to follow, you travel through a long hallway and at the end a large steel door stands open inviting you all in. At the far end of the room is a large ornate throne seemingly enveleoped in a misty fog, in the center, a large table set for just the right amount of people...though some may have noticed that the table was set for one more. On the table was a horde of food from all over Krynn, as you walk closer to take your seats you notice that each of you has a seat reserved for you, and on the table in front of the seat is the most delicious looking plate of your favorite food. Raeray would soon notice that the plates as well as utensils were all magically bolted to the table itself. yet only on his setting. Sorius walked to the far end of the room and as you all got seated and began eating your meals...

bic- Illeria glanced around her, impressed at the grandeur of the setting but not allowing it to show on her face. Walking to her place she mindly wished she had some time to wash some of the travel grime from the plains of dust away, however she was even more grateful for the cool clear elven wine that was placed in front of her to quench the parchness of her throat. Pushing her cloak aside Illeria regally took her seat and reached for the wine, taking a small sip she murmered her approval and then sat back to assess the others. One thing she had an abundance of was patience and she knew that all her questions would be answered in due time, either by their host volunteering the information or by one of the others asking the questions she was sure was on all their minds.

OOC: That is something I was thinking with my thread if it all works out. That would be interesting though, I will agree with it. ;)

IC: Carla sits at here place feeling quite enchanted by the place, she then looks at the food in front of her. It was meat and bread, just the way she liked it and had it for many years in the Knighthood. It was the way he had made it, sorrow comes over her. Her hands shaking she lifts the glass of brandy that was in front of her and takes a sip to get back her stability. She then picks up a fork her hand still shaking but not as badly as before, before she takes a bite of food though she looks down to Sorius "What is this place?"

BIC: Raeray sat down, Oh yeah she thought. Lemonade(woud they have that on Krynn??) and a ham sandwich with a potato (to bad there aren't cheeseburgers). She hungrily picked up her fork to eat. The fork didn't came off of the table."Grrr." she grumbled and stood up trying to pull up the fork off of the table. Giving up she got a fork she had "borrowed" from her friend and forgot to give back, I'll do that next time I see her she told herself. She then started hungrily eating the potatos.

Still sipping her wine Illeria looked up to watch the expression on Sorius's face as the question was asked. Quietly assessing the looks on the woman's and kender's faces, she was starting to get a feel for them, however she was not one to jump to conclusions. Still waiting for Sorius to respond Illeria reached out her hand and grasped a sprig of mint that garnished her plate and idely began to chew on it, she would not eat untill she had some answers for she wanted to be able to hear clearly, not only to the words being spoken but also the subtle undertones. Illeria had yet to make up her mind if she would stay or continue on her way. It all depended on what Sorius had to say.

Sorius scowls at the party gathered in front of him, "all who choose to leave, do it now, for after i have spoken of the nature of this mission you will be obliged to remain here among my many servants," Sorius waves his hand behind him at unseen creatures not of this earth, which some answer with blinks of their mysterious disembodied eyes, "until i have completed what i set out to accomplish." As he speaks he trods angrily in front of the large chair. "And be warned for the death you would recieve by their hands would be swifter and less eternal than if we fail. I will keep this brief, Had i been able to do this myself i would have already, unfortunatly my powers are not what they could be at the current moment in time. My apprentice...has betrayed me, he stole my most powerful spellbooks, ones which contained spells known not even to the greatest mages on all of krynn! I have spent years of study unhindered by the turmoils which have plagued the mages, being outcast i have nothing to worry about their petty war with the world." As if a bolt of lightning struck(and you know it just might have been a bolt of lightning your not really too sure)the floor in front of him, the hood from his robe revealed his face stricken with anger, silver hair flowed behind him in a rush of wind that seemed to not exist, his eyes seemed without pupils only a dull gray mist not unlike strormclouds, and bolts of lightning, real lighting, flared within as if a hurricane raged within his head. "AND THE TRAITOROUS BASTARD TURNED ON ME, robbing all the knowledge i've bled, been tortured, and worked for...yes he will pay i will slay him myself...but he shall be my problem...and my only problem, for i have not the power to reach him alone, i would grow too weak by the time i reached him to succeed in any sort of magical duel...for i taught him well. You my freinds will help me reach him, along with my books he has takin most of the wealth i have amassed over the years. A horde a dragon would be proud of..."a glimmer of pride gleams in his eyes, then he turns and glares intently at all of you seated around him. "from this you will all be graciously rewarded for your troubles...that is if you come back alive..." Sorius stops and ponders to himself for a few moments unaware of anything in room, daydreaming, picturing each one of these companions dying a terrible death, then he cuts short his dream and turns back towards the table, "We travel to Elemental plane of air..."

Carla snickers as she hears what Illeria has to say " You know, you might get more out of anybody if you use more sugar instead of viniger, Sweet Heart." She smiles very much feeling like herself again, and entertaining seeing how far she can push Illeria.

Raeray jumped up, "adventure treasure, oh yeah!!!!! I'm going on an adventure, yeah!!!" she says very excitedly.

Seeing Illeria dismiss her so easily, Carla laughs "Treasure or no, this will be fun. I will join in your quest, I have nothing better to do anyways."

Bio:As a young child Titus was fasinated with fire long hours he would spend sitting in the living room stairing into the fire waiting for the day he could control it.As he grew older and smarter he found his way to become what he wanted in the power of sirron. He was cast out for burning the towns bizarr. He now is ready to go on the adeventure of his life.
IC: Titus removed his hood to better look on his place he had finally reached he rubed his finger there his long damp hair. Titus took a deep breath with a dim smile and gaily began to stroll up to his entrance. Rolling a small fireball in and out his fingers (like apoker chip) all the way there. He took another deep breath of the stormy air this was bound to be intersting.

"Those of you who wish to see the treasure will do so...once the mission is complete, as i have mentioned before it has been stolen, and when it has been recovered it is yours to split amongst yourselves, Illeria and Carla, you two would do well to quell this insignificant quarrel , this goes for all of you, for its is by each others spell, sword, and dagger you will survive. The enemies we face will not think twice about slaughtering any of you." Sorius steps back looking around cautiously and then begins the whispering of words of magic, out of nowhere red robes flutter and collapse in front of him. "Welcome titus you have been expected, please have a seat and relax your journy has been rough, it would do you well to rest for tommorrow we leave this castle." Sorius glances inquisitively at the group of 4 which stand before him, then thinking to himself, "it seems that we are one short, AHA!" again, sorius speaks in the spidery language of magic, to the left of where the red robes had previously appeared, now lay another pile of robes." Ah yes, my apprentice gone astray, you have recieved my letter, no doubt about that, yet you thought not of repaying your debt to me? I find that insulting at best. I trained you, and aided you in the tower of high sorcery, I am now collecting on our bargain. you shall be informed of your duties, and welcome once more to my humble abode..." The wizard laughs and walks a few steps away, he turns, "those of you who spoke of treasure, you wish to see?"He spread his hand out into the corner of the chamber and in it appeared fabulous gems and stones, as well as a plethora of gold, crowns rings, and many other remarkable things." "Should we team up, you know go in twos. I think I should like go with this new person Titus, if we do and he will accept me. I would be willing to tell him in further detail what is going on." Carla smiles innocentally, looking the innocent maiden part at Titus. But also looking out the side of her eye so often to see the reaction from Illeria.

Brass was quite during the explanation but now he found cause to say something, "Well, I'm not going with the kender", he said hitting his axe butt on the floor.
"I don't care what anyone says, the kender is coming no where near me"

Raeray yawned. "Don't care who I go with," Raeray said lazily.

Titus lifted himself from the floor moving his hand in a swift motion dust ing of his robes. He sat down in his designated seat and listened to the speach. He examined his fellow compaions. As he heard the girls he looked at the on that offered to fill him in he smiled slightly. And looked at the other and winked both in a very charming way. He took a quick drink of his water he preferred over all although he hated water his opposing element he always felt safe drinking it. Sat back in his chair restfully pondering how he was to battle with his fire not being at full strenth.

IC: suddenly out of nowhere a black robed mage appeared in a puff of smoke. She looked around at everyone and sighed. "I'm late again aren't i?" She asked sadly, pushing back the hood of her robe. She bowed to everyone and looked at Sorius. "Sorry about that, master, i was detained." She smiled and sat down on the floor against the wall.

"i really don't mind traveling with a kender as long as none of my spell components come up missing." she pulled out a deck of cards and started shuffeling them. With a flick of her wrist she tossed a card to the floor. it landed face down in front of her. she put the deck down and stared at the card.

"yes tristan I believe that would be the most suitable arrangement, So it shall be,just remember your lives depend on each other. Illeria and Carla, you've heard my advice, take care to heed that. I will do my best to watch over all of you. Now we must seek some form of transportation. I believe your rigns would work well on this journy the Djinni live only a half hours flight from here. We should leave as soon as you are all prepared." Sorius walks off out of the room.

[Calus]

"Well that suits me fine", said Brass standing up. He turned to Titus, "I'll see you outside". He thenleft the room and startd smoking in the stormy rain, best time to do it.

Illeria listened to the conversation as it flowed around her, ignoring Carla's taunts, she stood gracefully and faced Sorius " I work alone." she said with a determined glint in her eye " If you know anything about me, you know this." Then without waiting for a responce, Illeria turned to one of the guardians " You! Show me to my quarters." , turning she nodded her head at Sorius, then walked out of the room.

I had planned on quitting, so I did not grab anymore. But alas it seems this might not be the best time." She smiles at him taking out a pipe of her own.

"Ahh Im liking you already woman, here have some. After all the good old pipe has been around for centuries." Brasss handed a measly amount of weed over to her, barely enough to fill the end of the pipe. Before she could reply, he said "yourlucky you got that much."

bic- Once Illeria entered the plush surroundings of her room and the servant had departed she let her temper out " Damn decieving, conniving old....!" she mutters to herself " Trick me into preforming for him like i am some kind of circus monkey!" and with that picked up a water vase and threw it across the room. Shattered glass sprayed out across the floor. Calming down took some time, her human emotions sometimes got the better of her but she was carefull never to allow witness to it. Illeria decided to work out to get rid of some pent up energy and swinging her sword at nothing, shadow fenced with herself untill she was winded, she eventually started to calm down and began forming a plan. " Yes I will help you old mage, and by doing so I shall help myself."

Khirsah listened to the conversations distractedly. She flipped the card in front of her over and sighed. she slowly slid the card back in the deck and put it away. She looked over at the kender thoughtfully before getting to her feet.
she walked outside and sat down on the grass gazing at the sky. Her voice rose and fell in a sad wordless song that flowed away on the wind.

She had taken it off a body she had just killed many years ago in battle. She has used it ever sense. She lights up the weed, inhales and then blows out the smoke smoothally "Not to bad, do you make this yourself?"

Bored Illeria decided to look around the castle, even though the mage said to prepare to start the journey. She traveled light, carrying only her sword and various daggers, anything else she needed was usually provided on the go, either by honest means or not so honest. Opening her door she stepped out into the hallway and looked up and down the corridor, not spying anyone she decided to go in the opposite direction of the dining hall. Keeping her back to the wall she turned down hallways left and right, admiring the hanging tapestries on the wall and the various rooms she looked into were all richly decorated. Illeria was admiring one such tapestry hanging at the end of a corridor when someone turned the corner and slammed right into her, almost knocking off her feet.

"Ah, well you could say that. I helped to make it for a farmer and then in the night I stole it all." he said chuckling. "I would have loved to seen his face." Brass then looked at her pipe, "Is that dwarven? Can I have a look?", he said holding out his hand.

"Well this looks like the sixth century peasants pipe, but due to this interesting marking here, I assume this is an heirloom of someone. So how did you get it?" said the dwarf handing it back

[Khirsah]

Khirsah had decided to get up and see if she could find anything of great intrest inside. she walked along silently through the familiar halls. As she turned a corner she ran right in to Illeria. Khir extended a hand to steady the half elf. "Sorry." She mumbled before starting to walk away.

OOC: Not very talkative is she?

Illeria picked herself up from the floor and glared at the young mage " Watch where you are going" Then gathering her cloak around her, continued down the hall. Coming to a doorway she spyed Carla and the dwarf just outside smoking, Illeria stood in the shadows and listened to their conversation. It never hurt to know your travelling companions she reasoned, and leaned her shoulder against the doorframe just out of their sight.

[Khirsah]

Khirsah ignored the half-breed's look and continued on her way, not really caring where she was going.

ic- Raeray got up from the table and looked around, everyone seemed to be in a hurry to leave. Wandering around the table she shook her head " All this wonderful food and hardly anyone touched it! What a waste." She reached for a bread roll on one of the place settings and stuffed it into her pouch " Just in case anyone gets hungry later." she reasoned and began stuffing her pouches with whatever she could reach, adding a salt shaker, a fork and other odds and ends that were not magically fastened to the table. Wandering towards the doorway Raeray peeked out and heard voices talking to the right, deciding to explore she headed left away from everyone else " I'll just go and find Sorius and tell him I am ready to go!" and happily skipped down the hall, inspecting everything she came across, with more than a little ending up in her pouches.

"Ahh, you were a Knight, explains the cold exterior", said Brass knowingly. "What is taking them so long".

Entering she did not see anyone so she sauntered over to the setting that had been for her and picked up the wine goblet. Spying one of the undead servants she gestured with the glass for a refill of wine. A chill followed the servant as Illeria's goblet was filled with clear elven wine, lifting the glass in salute " To your health." she toasted the servant mockingly.

"Ahh, you were a Knight, explains the cold exterior", said Brass knowingly. "What is taking them so long".


"Well no point making to many friends if you are just going to step on them later anyways." She has an odd look on her face "Don't know, don't very much care, rather not deal with that girl again."

Khirsah walked around for a while longer before growing bored. She had noticed some people outside and decided that that was where the action was. Instead of walking she decided to just use her magic and teleport.
With little fanfare she appeared out on the porch near the ex-knight and dwarf. She nodded a greeting and sat down on the ground, staring off to the horizon.

"I believed you mentioned something about being self-serving, caniving, callous, Whatever it was i want you to ask yourself this question, are you that much different from myself? I planned this because i cannot do this alone as i have mentioned previously, unfortunatly everything in life cannot be accomplished without the aid of others, even the Gods rely on each other to preserve the balance of the world. Perhaps this self-meditated ambition that has served you well in the past will not take you through the path to the answers that you seek, perhaps through others you will attain the wisdom that would make you whole, but thats just something to think about. I see potential in you, otherwise i would not have bothered wasting my time with you, now i must go and organize the others, it would be hazardous had they left this floating isle without the proper guidance, be well illeria and remember what i told you. He walked on out to where the dwarf was he stood beside his partener and looked at him with intrest. '' Do you have my back. If I can trust you you can trust me I think our styles could fit if you would except a magic user. What do you think''.

"I have always liked magic users they can always get the blokes with bows that keep peppering me, but if you dare kill an opponent that i am in combat with, there will be no magic that can save you", Brass said irritably, puffing out a smoke ring. "Damn magic users, keep popping up willy nilly". Brass then grumbles a bit more. "Oh by the way my name is Brass Bloodaxe, and this", he says pointing to his axe. "Is my axe, the Bloodaxe." Brass then kisses the axe and places by his side.

bic- Illeria stood still for about a minute allowing Carla to believe she wouldn't fight back " Have you gotten it out of your system dearie?" Illeria gritted out sarcastically before hooking her foot behind Carla's ankle and giving her a shove. Illeria had inherited the best features from both of her parents and with an elf's quick grace and a human's strength she grabbed Carla's wrist before she could tear out a handful of hair and twisted out from Carla's grasp. Still gripping Carla's wrist, Illeria yanked so the other woman's arm was caught behind her back, putting enough pressure so that a little more strain and the arm would break. " Let us get one thing straight, we may be stuck together in this little adventure but I will be damned to the abyss before I would need a little upstart like you to keep me alive." Illeria hissed. Letting go of Carla, she stepped back and placed her hand on the pommel of her sword ready to bring it out to play should Carla decided to continue this fun little confrontation " Watch your back Carla, else you'll find my dagger in it!"

bic- Illeria stood still for about a minute allowing Carla to believe she wouldn't fight back " Have you gotten it out of your system dearie?" Illeria gritted out sarcastically before hooking her foot behind Carla's ankle and giving her a shove. Illeria had inherited the best features from both of her parents and with an elf's quick grace and a human's strength she grabbed Carla's wrist before she could tear out a handful of hair and twisted out from Carla's grasp. Still gripping Carla's wrist, Illeria yanked so the other woman's arm was caught behind her back, putting enough pressure so that a little more strain and the arm would break. " Let us get one thing straight, we may be stuck together in this little adventure but I will be damned to the abyss before I would need a little upstart like you to keep me alive." Illeria hissed. Letting go of Carla, she stepped back and placed her hand on the pommel of her sword ready to bring it out to play should Carla decided to continue this fun little confrontation " Watch your back Carla, else you'll find my dagger in it!"

IC: Carla hold her wrist, rubbing it glairing at Illeria "The same goes for you half-elf, do not turn you back on my either. I have lived and breath the Knighthood sinse I was born. I maybe a bit rusty now, but I am getting me old self back now. And now your life does depend on me, and my wims. I was nice to you before, forgiving. I had no problem with you, now it is different. If I see an opening to get ride or you now, depending on how I am feeling that day you may just lose your life." Carla then spits in her face and backs out of the room. Heading down the hall to find Sorius.

IC: As she is walking the halls looking for Sorius, she calls out "SORIUS, WHERE ARE YOU?" In a not so plesant tone.

"I have always liked magic users they can always get the blokes with bows that keep peppering me, but if you dare kill an opponent that i am in combat with, there will be no magic that can save you", Brass said irritably, puffing out a smoke ring. "Damn magic users, keep popping up willy nilly". Brass then grumbles a bit more. "Oh by the way my name is Brass Bloodaxe, and this", he says pointing to his axe. "Is my axe, the Bloodaxe." Brass then kisses the axe and places by his side.

Khirsah turned and looked at the two calmly, her face impassive. "Magic is only as useful as the mind that weilds it." She moved to the edge of the porch. The mage smiled cynically. "You have worked with mages before? I thought that dwarves perferred to keep to themselves and not trust mages...i could have been mistaken about you." She pulled the hem of her robe down to modestly cover her ankles. "I'm Khirsah Shadowgate, if you care to know."

[Calus]

"As seeing as we are in this together, mages and human alike are welcomed, but i am reserved on kender." Brass said extending his hand. He gave a hearty shake of her hand and let go, "Brass Bloodaxe".

[Khirsah]

"Nice to meet you." She smiled and looked over her shoulder out into the empty plane. A sigh escaped her. "I never liked it here, i could never see why Sorius liked to dwell in such an empty place." A small gust of wind ruffled her platinum hair. She reached up and pushed it out of her eyes.

[Calus]

"How do you know Sorius?" Brass said now intrigued.

[Khirsah]

"He helped me out when i took my tests, taught me a few things that i will never forget nor shall i speak of them here. I worked in this place for a bit during my childhood as a servant and when he took over he sent me off to a school of magic." She paused and looked about again. " It's a bit boring, don't you think?" She gestured to the empty surroundings.

[Kyra Starleaf]

Illeria stepped out onto the front porch to allow the cooling breezes outside to cool her raging temper although none of it showed on her face she was still steamed over the confrontation with Carla. Nodding to the mage and the dwarf she turned to face Titus " Next time you decide to eavesdrop on other's conversations make sure it isn't mine. " she said pleasantly " For if you do, I shall retailiate." Not waiting for him to respond Illeria tossed her head and looked at Kirsah " Where is Sorius, I thought he was anxious to get this journey started."

[Khirsah]

Khirsah looked cooly at illeria. "How should i know? Go find him yourself if you wish to speak with him." She turned her eyes back to the empty sky, not caring if Illeria had anything more to say.

[Master_of_the_lance]

Titus looked at her and his eyes caught ablaze ''I DID NOT EAVESDROP ON YOU YOU TWO CAME TO WHERE I WAS AND IF YOU WANT TO FIGHT ME COME ON.'' Titus summoned his sword on his finger he lit a small flame and put it out blowing smoke in her face with a smile said ''Retaliate I dare you."

[Khirsah]

Khirsah stood up and placed a hand on his arm. "Please friend, don't waste your energy on this loud mouthed mongrel. She's not worth your time." She glanced at Illeria with disdain. "You should watch your tongue before it is cut from your mouth." she hissed, moving to sit back down.

[Master_of_the_lance]

Titus listend to the mages words and took them to heart he called back his sword. ''You are right but I will not be offended by anyone I will help anyone but not her. When the day comes when the sword is at her troat she can not count on me.'' He says loud enough so she can her. He walks over to the other side of the pourch and starts puching the air to blow off some steam his eyes slowly became normal again at that time he went to stand beside the apprentance. " I wish souris would come on I am aching to kill something.'' He then sat on the ground seeming to go into a trance a flame appeared in his plam making random symbols he appeared to be talking to sirrion.

bic- Illeria smiled coldly at the way Titus and Khirsah were acting " My my such short fuses" looking directly at Titus she smirked " Better be careful my lord, you may combust!" then she glanced sideways at Khirsah " Then again I am sure someone will be around to put out your fire." Illeria purred. Feeling much better now that she had sparked tempers to match her own, Illeria leaned back on the outer wall very close to the edge of the ground and looked out at the swirling clouds. Thinking of her old partner and wishing he were here to share this adventure, he would have gotten a kick out of it she was sure, Illeria waited patiently for Sorius to return.

Titus never left his trance his little flame just left his plam and went to Illeria and revloved around her head it would not cease to stalk her it would change to pictures of some of here worst nightmares and show images of chaos and then turn back to the flame and revolve around her head.(what a runon sentence)It was appaerantly a warning of sirron showing her fire and chaos is not good to be agaisnt you.

Khir settled herself on the very edge of the grass, right on the brink. She pulled out a small necklace from one of her pouches. The pendant was a deep purple orb clasped in a dragon's claw. it glowed with an eeri light as she dangled it out in empty space over the bottomless drop.
She spoke a few words of magic and the clouds began to churn, turning from peaceful white to and angry shade of gray. They formed a circle the middle of which was like a pool of clear water, in fact it was the water from the rain clouds gathered before her.
She stood up and walked out upon the clouds to the edge of the water. With another word the pool shimmered and changes. It showed battles and peace, hope and dispair, the weak and strong all in a few seconds before returning to normal.
A small smile crossed her face as she stepped back to the land and released the clouds from her spell. "My Shalafi will be here when he can. Let us hope that he hurries." Again she settled herself on the porch and looked out into the emptiness, clasping the necklace tightly in her hand, "All we can do is wait."

[Calus]

"Well night everyone", Brass said moving to a more comfortable position. He then laid down and started to snore.

Illeria watched the small ball of flame as it danced around her head, choosing to ignore it she looked out over the storm clouds rolling beneath them. I do not mock chaos she thought and glanced at Titus Only it's messenger a small smile curved her lips, softening the hard lines around her mouth. Getting comfortable Illeria took a whetstone out of the small pouch that hung from her belt and began to sharpen the already keen edge of her sword blade.

BIC : Suddentlly a sound come from the shadows near the fireplace.It's the sound of an axe being refurbished. A figure is seated next to the fireplace it's an imposing figure dressed with baggy desert barbarian clothes. The man seems to be there from the beginning doesn't caring about anybody in the room.

Khirsah sighed and lay on her back, staring up at the endless sky. She tossed a rose petal in the air and occupied herself with keeping it aloft using her magic. She hummed softly as she did this, weaving a quiet melody with her sweet elven voice.

IC: like a bolt of lightning sorius comes running past the fireplace which seems to erupt in flames, he runs outside to the sounds of huge wings as the castle shakes as if struck by a ferocious earthquake. He quickly glances around towards his companions."Be careful what you wish for..." From behind the cover of clouds 3 red dragons appear attacking in full force with their breath weapons, searing hot flame erupts towards hirash, titus and illeria, as well as at the castle. Sorius hurridly threw a spell preformed on his lips which shattered if not dispelled the flames which the dragon thought would be the killing blow, just feet from where they stood. "On your feet we have unexpected company!, I cannot hold off there weapons long, use the rings into the air, Their wings are weak injured they have no place to land they will need to retreat." with that a bolt of lightning struck forth with precision into the huge creatures right wing splitting it open. The dragon however plowed forth into sorius knocking him down, yet his spells of protection prevented any serious harm, but it seemed as if the mage was unconcious. The dragon backed off leaving only 2 more of the devestatingly fearful beasts to tend with. One of them swung around and came back aiming straight for sorius, the other to meet with the other group of adventurers licking his lips as he lunged slashing with tooth and claw...

[Calus]

Brass awoke with the sound of the fireplace practically erupting. Brass got up and saw as a dragon fled and one landed, he charged the dragon and cleaved his axe into the dragons claw.
The dragon flung back its wings and screamed in pain as the axe struck. Its wings flung out in instinct and hit brass. Brass was thrown out into the plane of air with his axe in tow.
Brass floated slowly, it must be an effect of the plane of air. He looked around to see the third red dragon flying towards him, mouth opened wide.

the figure moved in front of brass as the dragon attacked him. his shield was up as he with his free hand hurled Brass aside the dragon then came crashing into him. the armoured man was total taken away as the dragon sawed higher only to be seen trying to fight for his life as the dragon held the mans shield in its mouth. the man flailing a mace at it as he tryed to get loose of his shield.

Brass was saved by the mysterious floating man and was pushed toward the castle. As he floated by the dragon, Brass hit the dragon in his right wing slicing into the thin membrane. Brass laughed heartily as he saw the dragon scream once more in pain, his laugh stopped as he hit the side of the castle. *ough*

Carla runs out into the havik outside she sees the Dragons and then Sorius's body lying on the ground. She runs over to him, and checks to see if he is alive. When satisfied she know she needs to get him and herself off of here if they are going to servive. She tries to lift him to use her ring, but she has a feeling that it will be to heavy for it. She then looks around to find the closest person to help her, she sees Illeria. She calls out to her "Illeria, help me. I need you to help me float him down. I do not think I can do it on my own."

Locking eyes with Carla she hissed " I do this for him, not you." and grunting a little, lifted the mages limp body and carefully started to walk backwards into the castle, getting Sorius out of danger. "Go right ahead, have fun bringing him down yourself." With that she drops her side of Sorius, takes out her sword and takes off over the side now determined to help this new person that has appeared. She floats over to one of the dragons wings trying not to get hit by it, barily managing to get close enough to attack it.

With the unexpected weight of Sorius fully in her hands Illeria staggered a bit untill she caught her balance " Oh now that's childish!" she exclaimed as Carla jumped off the edge and floated towards a dragon " I hope he eats you." Illeria said to herself and felt a little childish for doing so. Gathering Sorius's limp form close to her Illeria slipped off the edge of the ground and started to float downwards. They fell quite quickly and Illeria was unprepared for how fast they fell Sorius's extra wieght seeming too much for one ring to handle. As they fell Illeria shook, yelled, pinched, and slapped at Sorius, anything she could think of to wake the unconcious mage " Wake up mage, I really haden't planned on falling so fast and I don't want to think about what will happen when we land!" she yelled then looked down and saw nothing but swirling clouds " If we land." she added. Illeria looked back upwards and could see the others battleling it out with the dragons, which had not noticed Illeria and Sorius when they fell. " Some people get to have all the fun." she muttered as she watched the action above getting smaller and smaller.

[Calus]

Brass recovered with his collision with the side of the castle, and turned toward the man that had saved him battling with a dragon, he leaped off the ground and slowly rose towards the dragon, he was within striking range when a wing buffeted him once more and he was thrown towards the ground once more, and again towards the second dragon. He landed on that dragon's head and clamped the its jaws shut using his arms and brute force, hanging on for dear life while the dragon tried to dislodge him.

This dipute awoke Titus from his trance. He Jumped up quickly as he ran the edge of the porch this dragon was clearly in his last vain atempt to destroy his attackers he reared back his might breath of flame at the compaions sure to burn the all but at the last moment Titus cotroled the flame and tunred it back on the dragon burning his wings
Titus sliped on his ring and joined the others in battle.

OOC: Titus but which dragon is this? I am clamped around the mouth of one and the other is up in the air fighting sticko

The silouette seated next to the fireplace, stand up in one move, with his axe in hand ready to cut the dragon neck. Just need to wait that the beast approach me.. tought the barbarian...

OOC : I think i'm lost in this battle so i'll do nothing but i'm here ok?

[Kyra Starleaf]

Illeria watched the battle as she drifted further and further away, even though she was far below, with her elven sight inherited from her mother Illeria could clearly see all that was going on. " You know Sorius " she sighed " I enjoy being held in a man's arms as much as the next woman, but there is a time and a place for such things... and now is not one of them! Come on, WAKE UP!" Yelling did not work to wake the mage, shaking, pinching and hitting did not work either, Illeria was running out of ideas to wake the unconcious man, she refused to leave him to fate, yet she was itching to join in the battle finally she tried the last thing that came to mind, she kissed him.

[Sorius The Stormlord]

As if startled by some terrible dream sorius's eyes flare open, he looks up to see illeria yeling at him then kiss him, shock runs through his body as he throws illeria to the side, over by the castle he sees his companion faring well against the dragons, yet a look of fear comes across his face as he glares over on the horizen, an army of winged creatures of various types are flying towards the castle at an alarming pace. "Illeria get the rest of them and tell them to follow me we must leave this place it is no longer safe, my ex-apprentice must have found us out..." at this his face distorts in rage...perhaps it was khirash who also betrayed him, well he had better hope i do not find out, it would be his last mistake, and a very painful and excrutiating one at that..."Winged beasts head this way we must seek safety with the djinni there we can find out more it is due east." with those final words he mumbles something in coherent and points towards his castle, with that it disappears, turning towards the approaching impending doom we begins to wave his hands, chanting mystical phrases, the air around becomes dark cloudy and violent winds begin to form, in the distants huge stormclouds also form bolts of lighting tear forth as well as more violent winds and hail right in the path of the oncoming army. "that should hold them for awhile now we must make haste..."Sorius takes one last glance backwards at the injured dragons and looks east...then disappears to ponder all that has occured.

Pushed off to the side, Illeria glared at the mage Well how do you like that, not even a thankyou for getting him out of harms way she thought. As she began to float upwards towards the battle Illeria looked over at Sorius then towards the winged creatures heading in their direction. Realizing their predictament she raised her arms to help her float faster and raced to tell the others that they must flee. Once Illeria returned to the solid ground outside the castle she turned to find the closest of the companions to warn them. Titus and Brass were battleing one dragon, the mysterios man and Carla were battleing the other and she did not see Khirsah or the kender, drawing her sword from it's scabbard Illeria floated towards the closest dragon which happened to be the one with the dwarf on it's snout and Titus's flames. Not seeing an opening in which she could get close enough to strike with her sword from the front, she floated towards the back of the dragon, mindfull of it's thrashing tail and came down upon the beasts back. Holding onto it's scales Illeria scurried up it's back untill she reached the junction between it's massive wings and plunged her sword into the dragon's spine.

[Calus]

The dragon threw back his head in pain, and Brass was flipped off the dragons head and spun towards the cloud line. He stopped himself with the power of the ring and looked up, and saw the large host of flying creatures coming for them.

"Run", shouted Brass as he ran along the top of the clouds, "more flying creatures".

Let's get out of here... that was the first sentence the mysterious man said. Is the mage in capacity to guide us? If not i'll buy you some time... But you must promise that you'll find my tribe to guide them to a new land if I die, ok? My tribe is the Urak-Tsul said the strong man.

Khirsah had been deep in thought and by some mirical didn't notice the dragons, fighting, or anything else, only now when she realized her master's presence did she awake.
She spotted the dragon that Brass was fighting first. Slipping her ring on, she ran toward them, stopping just out of range of the dragonfear. She raised her hands and shouted, "Akular-alan suh tagolann jistrathar!" A gleaming dragonlance appeared in her hands. "Brass, catch!" She tossed the lance to him as it's blessed metal began to burn her palms.

the figure conected to the dragon was trying to douge the flailing claws as the dragon tryed to rake him open while he also smashed the mace he held into the dragons head and its claws as they came at him. he was being carried of higher as his strengh faded he was beening spalted with blood when the dragon let its grip go and he floated downwards but he new the dragon would re think its attack and finish him of in a matter of seconds

OOc: I soulg be able to use the lance shouldn't I? I am a dark dwarf but you have to worship evil gods to not be a able to hold it

IC: Brass heard the shout and saw this lance fly through the air, he knew at once it was a dragonlance. He caught it and plunged it into the dragon, with all the wounds the dragon had sustained earlier, it die, leaving only one dragon left, up in the air. "Everyone flee now, there is a great host. " He said pointing towards the host of flying creatures.

Titus quickly understood he jumped forward with all his might and like a jet engine he used hfireout of his hands to propel im he swooped in at the last second and grabed the new man right as the dragon dove by titus held him and made a quick burst tworads sorouis.

[Khirsah]

Khisah hurried after Titus, looking over her shoulder to see how far away the other creatures were. "They come swifter than the wind!" She called, moving as fast as she could toward her master.

[Kyra Starleaf]

As everyone grouped around Sorius Illeria looked back at the approaching hoard " Well where to now?" she asked for everywhere she looked there was nothing but swirling clouds, she did not see anywhere they could hide or at the very least make a stand.

[Calus]

"well where did Sorius go", said Brass turning to the others

The new arivial griped his left arm it was broken in maybe two places he had droped his shield and was in a fair amount of agony. but atleast he was alive

IC: Sorius heads off with the other travelers a strong wind aids them in flight, they arrive at a small town on a floating rock filled with strange creatures and sorius heads towards the large bulding in the center of the small city...

Brass readies his axe, "What are these strange creatures?", he said constantly looking all around him.

Illeria looked around her warily " They don't look friendly." she said and tightened her grip on her sword.

Khirsah looked curiously at the creatures but followed her master without question. Though they looked unfriendly, the creatures didn't seem too dangerous but she kept an eye on them just in case. 'What is this place?' she wondered but chose not to voice the question.

"Whoah, this is awesome!!!" Raeray said.

Bio: Has a ring of animal changing that he uses to get around the Air Plane. He was stuck there a while ago, but didn't seem to mind because there were many interesting things there. He is thrilled to see another kender!

IC: A kender ran through the crowd and appeared to the new arrivers as he burst out of the crowd. He ran up to Raeray and stuck out his hand," Hello, I'm Apricot Thornslinger and who might you be?"

"Hey I'm Raeray Dolphinlover." Rae said shaking his hand.

[Kendergod]

"Are you from outside of the Air plane? I haven't left the Air Plane. What are you doing here?" Apricot asked curiously.

Rae shrugged."I'm not sure. It was explained but I almost fell asleep." Rae said.

[Kendergod]

"Well I'll come with you. I can show you around, too." Apricot walked to an odd building. "Let's go inside. The locals are scared of, but now that I have a partner I can go in. You up for it?"

[Khirsah]

Khirsah glanced at the two kender who were wandering off in some random direction. "Don't get lost or we may leave without you Rae!" She called before heading to the building.
Inside it was nice and cozy with a large fireplace against the back wall and plenty of tables and chairs all around. To the right of the door was a bar that ran the length of the room. At the far end of the bar were some stairs leading up to what Khir assumed was bedrooms on the second floor. A human with a kind smile was standing behind the bar, she ordered a glass of red wine before taking a seat at a table close to the fire.
Her drink was brought to her shortly and she sipped it while staring into the fire, waithing for the others to join her.

Brass walked in and sat down, he started to smoke his pipe waiting for Sorius to sort something out.

Khir glanced over at the dwarf as he sat down. Sh silently picked up her glass and sipped some of the wine that it held. "So what do you think this place is?"

[Calus]

"Creepy, it is up in the air, I like the ground and there are all these strange blue people around." He then looks over his shoulder to look at a couple of djinn.

[Khirsah]

"I agree. I quite perfer the ground myself but my Shalafi seems to like it here." She heaved a sigh. "The only thing i truly dislike about the place is that there are no plants, only air and rock." She took another sip of her drink and stared off into the fire.
