It was still a misty morning when Delia Steeldove walked out onto the balcany, wrapping the robe even tighter, she takes a breath in and smiles "This will be a good day." She walks back into her room, and walks up to a beautiful mirror on her wall and grabs up a brush and starts brushing her long brown hair "So how fairs our friends in the Featherborn family?" She seems to be talking to no one if someone was to walk in.

OOC: Jeran the daughter can walk in anywhere here.

Name: Alexandre Manette (I just finished that long book)
Race: Human
Class: Calvary leader of the Featherborns
Bio: Was with the Featherborn's since around Kendal grandfather's reign. Kinda old battle hardened warrior. He is easy to get along with and insists on gentlemanlike ways.

IC: "Yes sir. Would you like to accompany us? We will kill all, but for something as serious as this I would think someone such as yourself would want to oversee this. After all, you are the heir to the Featherborn family. You might want to make a good impression on the warriors and people."

"Yes my good friend I want you to start setting up more regular patrols though. They will fear our calvary. I shall join you he calls out to one of the servants. You yes you fetch my horse bow a quiver of me arrows and my Featherborn banner." In a moment Kendal had mounted his horse Stormwing and was ready to ride into his streets.

Galaclad sat looking through the wall that was all windows in his castle his overveiw of the city. He looked outside with little intrest as he saw his son and one of his most loyal men prepareing a calvry divison. He finshed the last bite of his fine soup and took out his pipe. He lite it up and took two small puffs. Galaclad walke dover two his left wall which was a giant map of strategy. He grabed a large quill and made a box around a two blocks of a certain area. He then went and sat back down going into deep thought still blindly gazeing into the city not seeing anything to far away in his own thoughts

Iliana Steeldove entered her mother's bedchamber to greet her as she did every morning. Her mornig visits were as predictable as the sunrise, as she was a light sleeper and an early riser.
"It should prove to be eventful if nothing else. The patrols are out on schedule, and all is well so far."
Iliana stared at her mother in the mirror, marveling at how alike they were in appearance. They both shared the same thick brown hair her mother meticulously groomed each morning. Iliana kept hers in a tight braid down her back as she often went to the training yard to make sure that the patrols were in order.
" So mother, how shall we begin this glorious day?"

Iliana kissed her mother and then left. Delia looked concerned, her face set. Gangleri answered her question. “They assemble a cavalry, Madame.” He said.

Alexandre started off. They met no resistance until they had pasted to the farther reaches of their district. A man wearing the armor of the other family was wandering the streets plundering. As the cavalry turned the corner Alexandre charged and neatly swung his sword and cut off the man's head as neatly as a guillotine.

Arrami watched his brother charge from a tree, shaking his head with a smile. So very, very typical. So very, very much what they were supposed to do.
So very, very boring.
An old necklace! Should he waste his life on a piece of old JUNK? He? Arrami?
Hardly.
Fighting, fighting, always this fighting. His brother swung his sword.
"Careful, brother, you might poke someone's eye out with that" he mumbled. A head rolled over the ground, and Arrami made a tuttuing noise. Predictable.

Galaclad finally jumped up he had come to some thought he yelled to his nearset servant assemblemy comitte in the war tactics room asap. Then the messager found his way to arraiman is " Come my lord master assembles his court". They servant speed of quickly for prepartions for the meeting. Back in the castle Galaclad was talking to a skimpy sleek fellow. He was in a total black outfit. Galaclad spoke softly with no regret he knew what it took to rule even if it was agianst honor. " Yes Raven I will reward you well I only want the girl dead it will be tuff but if done you will never have to work again." Although, Galaclad knew he would for the pure joy of killing and he was damn good at it but he wasn't cheep. "Yes the girl and ionly the girl and maybe some guards make it look as if it was a person in her ranks it will deal a morale blow. I wish this be done as sone as you can." Ravens black eyes shined brightly as he pulled his hood over his purple hair.

Raven took of quickly and jjumped of the baloney half way down though his hook to the top and slid down removeing the hook. As soon as he hit the ground his spell activated he turned to nothing but a mer shadow. He doged wuickly in and out of shadow for practice making his way to his payers destination he would stay there till sundown then he would make his move.

Kendal never got to chargwe as he heard the order he turned quickly and rode of it was his honor to obey his higher officer or father. Kendal was all about honor he was extremely noble but somtimes to much he would not understand his father for secret ways so he was never informed of these actions he would rule well in his time but he could not do so as much in dark ways. So he would prevail or die in pride as a honorable man. He made his way into the castle quickly taken off his aromor slowly he wondered greatly why his father called such a quick meeting but would not question his thoughts. His mind drifted to his youngest brother he kenw how his brother thought about him but he loved him much all the same he just thought his brother was yet to understand it didn't matter to him in all he thinks the featherborns will stick togethr so he doesn't worry

Iliana waited in the front room for her mother to come down. It was a bit odd, her mother asking her to have breakfast elsewhere when the morning meal was always prepared in the castle by this time. She dismissed it as simply wanting to be outside on such a beautiful day as this.
Her mother finally descended the main stairs, looking resplendant as always in her crisp riding clothes. Iliana knew in advance that her mother would turn the head of every man in town this morning, as she did every time she left the castle. Her mother's beauty was the envy of every woman, as was her well-bred and refined manner.
"Well, mother, where should our little adventure lead us this fine morning?"
She checked her hip to be sure her sword was secured, and her belt to check her small dagger.

Name: Galaclad Featherborn

Profession: Lord of the Featherborns, wizard and tactical genius

Gender: male

Appearance: Keeping himself youthful, despite his near 60. In spite of the Orders, he never wears his red robe. Instead, he dresses in the manner of nobility, putting his wealth on public display for everyone to see.

Biography: During his youth, he beheld the necklace, and the power it contained. Fascination of the artifact got him into magic, wishing to copy its powers. Fifty years later, finding the amulet is not a matter of family honor anymore. It is an obsession. Although he keeps an image of honor on the outside, it is a public secret that he maintains a small cabal of assassins and wizards, known as the Hunters. On the outside, this is the Trackers Guild, helping the Featherborns in the search of the amulet.

OOC: Also, I will keep Kendal. At least for a while

BIC: "Kendal, come in." The fathers strong voice fills the room. "I hear that you encountered a Steeldove patrol." "That is correct, father. I pulled out of the fight to meet you here." Kendal answered, bowing his head to show Galaclad the proper repect. "Good. I hope you left someone competent in charge when you left, because you won't return in time for that battle." Galaclad moved from his seat to approach his son. "You are needed elsewhere." "Father?" Kendal asks, slightly puzzled. usually, Galaclad never backed down from an opportunity to kill of a few Steeldoves. "No, you are to go on another mission. The Lady Steeldove is taking a morning ride as we speaks, desiring to visit the new inn that just opened. Take Tarril and Tynan with you to that inn and capture her or her daughter." Galaclads voice takes a hint of urgency, but Kendal dosen't move. "Father, that would not be an honest way of fighting. No knights, apart from the Neraka ones, would ever-" "NO knight would ever get in this fight in the first place!" Galaclad silences his son with the outburst. "But remember, the Steeldoves is preventing us from ruling this city in the name of justice, they his the necklace, they seduced on from us. They are the dishonest ones and to battle them, we must beat them at their own level. Once the Lady is captured, their spine will be broken and justice will take them! But you know just as well as I do, that this cannot continue." "Yes Father. I will go at once." Kendal bows his head, both in respect as well as a way of hiding the tear forcing its way from his eye. Such outbursts had become more and more frequent, ever since Galaclad located some documents with hints of the necklaces whereabouts. During such outbursts, he didn't give a damn about the proud Featherborn honor. Though he may be right, Kendal never liked it. Still, he turns to stride out of the room again, keeping his head high and his manners as controlled as usual. On the way out, he sends two servants to fetch his two helpers. Both where prominent members of the Hunters.

The fact that the inn was new was obvious at the first eyeglance. The tree was almost seeping still, the windows clear amd the door opening and closing iwthout a sound. Inside, the sturdy oak furniture was clean and good smelling. The bartender had not lost his glad smile and good manners yet. Only a few guests was present this morning. The squabble among the two families nearby drove most to the older inns, rather than getting caught in the crossfire. No one shot a second glance at Kendal and his companions as they walks inside. All where disguised to the point where Galaclad would frown trying to recognise them. They all ordered an ale, then sat down, looking deiscreetly around for the Lady. Only then did it occur to Kendal to think about how his father had known where the Lady would be this day. To his knowledge, she had disguising magic at her disposal as well.

IC: Delia and her daughter ride to the Inn "Hmm, that is a bit odd there are more people here then I had expected. Keep guard, you never know what might happen" She says seeing the horses. She climbs off of her horse and enters the Inn with her hand on her sword.

On the way, the servant is, without forewarning, caught by the neck of her blouse by one of the guards. He looks at her with a slight grin. "So, listening, are we?" He says, then moves to pull her back to the throne room.

Kendal eyes the Lady enter. 'This is wrong,' he thought. 'War is not to be fought this way'. But now there was no going back. He got up, still by a hat and walked up to the bar. The two assassins carelessly moves to leave the area, except they close the door and silently bars it, all in a fluid motion, as if they had been practicing on that very door for weeks. "Good evening, my Lady," Kendal says, making a gallant bow. The bartender, who had started to protest when the door was barred, fell instantly silent. One of the assassins positioned himself in front of the main door, the other moved towards the kitchen door. The stairs to the rooms upstairs was still free, but Kendal was close enough to prevent an attempt at escape that way.

"So father..." Arrami said with a smirk, moving up behind him. "We are now going to try the treacherous method of kidnapping. I am impressed. Didn't think you had it in you." Inspecting his nails with a nonchalant air, he added: "It would be much more impressing if it wasn't over a neclace."

Galaclad sighs, his shoulders sinks. He seems to shrink to become less than he was during his outburst. "My son, I do not do this to be impressive. I do this because right and honor demands the necklace returned to its proper owners. Though I regret the use of agents like the Hunters, it is necessary to undo the Ladys treachery to our family. Arrami, this is about so much more than a necklace. This is about the power it contains, the magic bound inside it. It is about the city, the right to rule it fair and honorable as we will, or treacherous and backstapping as the Steeldoves will. You are not the eldest, so unless grave misfortune comes to our family, you will never have to worry about it."

Galaclad sighs again. "I am sorry, my son. Actions such as Kendals mission saps my strength as surely as a nymph saps a mans willpower. I am too tired to discuss this now. I will talk to you tomorrow. One thing, though, I will say: We are not even close to the Steeldoves in dishonor and foul tricks. In the time I have led this wars, I have beheld them kill two of your uncles and one aunt, my brothers and sister, in the foulest of ways. Your aunt, no one ever saw disappear and the only sign was the bloodstained Steeldove letter with a flock of her hair. They are devils unfit to rule even themselves. We, we care for our subjects, we take pride in our servants and those willing to fight for us. Kendal is a shining example of the Featherborn honor that I, as the Lord of the family, should be able to copy. We will speak further of it tomorrow." At the last sentence, his voice becomes firm, intolerable of gainsay.
Then the door knocks. Galaclad, now seeming incapable of shrinking more into himself, sighs again before motioning towards the door, making it spring open instantly. He pulls himself up and into his seat, before looking at the guard and the girl. "I caught her eavesdropping at the Lord's conversation with Kendal." The guard says, only strict dicipline keeping him from smirking. "Oh, did she now?" Galaclad asks, but the question is subtly, but undenyably directed at the girl. His eyes burns themselves into her, drilling into her mind, laying bare everything to him. The piercing gaze could within a second find the truth hidden inside her, but he still waits for her answer, testing her.

Seeing the girl, Arrami twitched ever so slightly. He remembered her, used to talk to her sometimes. She seemed far too bright to toil under the duties of a servant. Too bright in other aspects as well, obviously... Or maybe just naďve. It was hard to tell.
The point was that he liked her. He sincerely hoped his father would not hurt her. Speak as he might about the cruelties of the Steeldoves, which Arrami had witnessed and knew very well, his father could be a very hard, unforgiving man at times. And he had walked through the dungeons that were hidden beneath the house. There was plently of evidence there that not only the Steeldoves had a lively imagination when it came to being nasty.
But sick as he might be of the whole battle, he did love his father, and he wished away the feeling of his father being constantly disapointed with him with all the heart that he did not want to admit he had.

She stutters "N..n..no, my lord. That was not my intention at all." She manages to take her eyes away from Galaclad's and look over to Arrami's, managing to calm herself in his. And showing him the innocent serving maiden act, with a new found courage she gets out of the grip of the guards and walk closer to the two lords. She gets on her knees and bows to both of them "My lords, it was never my intention to listen in on your conversation. I came here, well I used to be a servent for the Steeldove's. The Lady Steeldove is a horriable person, some of my family is dead because of her doings. I would do anything to get back at her, even come here to her hated eneime. That is why I was at your door, and going around as your servent. I didn't think you would just let me in so I had to do what I could to seek an audience with you My Lord please forgive me. I know things about the family that may help you, if you will accept my help?"

Gender: Female

BIC:

Lyra cast an interested glance at the inn as she walked inside. Ordering a bit of wine, she sat down at the nearest table and took out her lyre, absently plucking at the familiar strings. The people at the door were having such an interesting conversation, she couldn't help but listen a bit.

IC: Illiana had stood silently all this while, knowing her mother was fully capable of handling her self in most situations, But this was simply too much!
"Mother, no! You cannot possibly be thinking of going to that accursed house! This possibly the worst idea I have ever heard. It would take me moments to have our guards here to take care of this scum. In fact, I could probably take at least two of them before they could draw thier weapons."
Illiana put a hand on her sword and gave a look that dared the men to defy her.

Arrami smiled crookedly at the girl. He did not trust her one bit, but he admired her courage in front of his father. Not many would dare to put on such an admirable act. "Come here, my fair lady. I will ensure nothing bad will happen to you. Yet." His eyes glinted playfully, as he opened the door and bowed for her.
Why take things seriously when you could have fun annoying people?

Kendal looks at Illiana for merely a second. During that time, his regret at what he is doing is apperant. Still, he looks back at the Lady, the regret now hidden deep beneath his casual demeanor. "Of course your daughter will remain here. She was never to join you, if not as your personal guest. Shall we go?" He motions towards the door, still keeping his hand near the sword. Unlike what most would do in that situation, he took the daughters outburst very seriously. Underestimating an opponent because of noble stature had cost too many of his friends their lives.

"My mother will not be going anywhere without me. You must be insane to even suggest it! Even if I were to allow it, you would soon be very sorry. All of our soldiers know that we breakfast together each morning. They also know that no true noble woman travels alone in the company of such rough men as yourelf. Seeing my mother without an escort would be all the incentive they need to kill you dead in the street. So, if you insist on going through with this folly, you should at least use the tiny bit of intelligence the Gods gave you. Take me as well, or die in the process of carrying out this ludicrous plan."

But you, you must keep this family going. With me gone, you are in charge of the family, besides you do not have the skill yet to defy Lord Featherborn. I have also something you must do, get to that necklace before any of the others do. By doing that ensures our victory, now go do not destroy what I have worked so hard on building for you." She kisses her daughter on the forehead then pushes her away.

Ebony Nightblade entered the Featherborn castle through the secret tunnels located far below the dungeons. The head of the Hunters, also known as the Trackers guild, made her way through the many passage ways lined with cells. Her soft leather boots never made a sound. When passing by the "intarigation rooms" with there thumb screws and there racks she stopped to hear a Steeldove scum his confession. This would be a good day!
As she walked confadently through the many corridors, servents would avert their eyes or remember a better route to get where they needed to be. Ebony rounded the corner and found Arramin Featherborn escorting a servent girl. She knodded to him, "Master Arramin." she smiled at him as she passed.
It did not take her long to reach Lord Galaclad office. She swept her hand out infront of herself and the door opened only to shut behind her. Once inside the office she took a seat infront of the Lord Galaclad's desk to wait for his return. Her Hunters had informed her that the eldest Featherborn son had taken the Steeldove wench into custody and that his father was now having a pleasent breakfast with her in the main dinning hall. There was no doudt in Ebony's mind that Lord Galaclad would know where the necklace was soon enough. All he would have to do is give the word and she would personaly go and retrieve it, then he would be happy and she would be richly rewarded. Yes, this would be a good day!

Very slick, Arrami thought admiringly to himself, but he shook his head. "I cannot be disobeying my father, as much as you are right about what you say. But there are some books in the chamber, and if there is anything you need otherwise, let me know. I can have some food brought up, if you'd like it."
Seeing Ebony head up the corridor, he returned her greeting with a soft bow. He respected her. She was a woman who did her work and did it good. What could be more worth respect than that?
"The leader of the Hunters" he explained. "Ever heard of them?" A teasing smile.

Also someone she was warned to stay out of the way of. She looks back at Arrami "The hunters perhaps I have heard mention of them, but I really would not know much. You know being a lowley servent and all."

"You should know that already. First of all, I wish to negotiate the right to the necklace. Second there's the problem with this little struggle of ours, but we will take that later. My eldest made the necklace, maybe with his wife. Which of them did it, not even I have been able to discover. But, I knew my brother before the assassins got him. He was a mighty wizard, and I would not think the necklace beyond him. The times I've seen it has convinced me that it is made by Gürin, our dwarven smith. You and I both know that he is the greatest jeweller around here. None can copy his work. He has confirmed it as well. Nevertheless, I know your arguments. My brother may have been a mighty wizard, Gürin a great jeweller, but your... Sister, is it? Mother? Aunt? Nevermind, she knew as the only one among the three the secrets of enchanting and the forming of the necklace could not have been done without either. That may fit as well, as nothing on the subject of enchanting is explained in my brothers notes. Now, I would know: What is your price for giving up your familys claim on the necklace?"

What if your father and the lady were to die, would the rest of you allow this to keep going on? The answer rests in this new generation." She looks in his eyes trying to make him understand.

A small war, perhaps, but still a war. And what do you think would happen? The young lady Steeldove loves her mother, and was she to die, she would surely blame us and continue the struggle out of lust for revenge. And my brother is so honorable that it's scary, and he also loves our father, and would thus continue the fight because he would know that that would be our father's will. This was an old building, and as a small and tremendously bored boy he had spent all his time investigation it, seeing that he could not take even a step outside in fear of "those vicious Steeldoves". And it was then he had noticed the tunnels running behind almost all the walls in the house, probably built by someone who wasn't so sure on his position as master of it and wanted a fast retreat as well as a way of keeping track of everyone inside it. It had given him much precious information before, information that would otherwise not be given to such an irresposible child, and would now be just perfect...

Ebony stood and walked over to the large picture window in Lord Galaclad's office. From this vantage point, she could see nearly the hole city. In her mind she could trace the Featherborn border: the front line as it where. A smile played apon her lips as she imagined the line of Steeldoves falling and the Featherborns rule over the city beginning.
Her family had fought to find the necklace since the beginning. Her grandfather was the head of the Trackers Guild. He had played by the rules, the fool, and he paid for it with his life. Her father had taken his place. He saw the need to expand the resources of the Guild, bringing in assasions and magic users.
Ebony had studied under many of these mages. She had been raised in the middle of this war. Her craddle had been a shield. Her nursemaid had been a mercenary. She had seen first hand bloodlust drive men insane. And she loved every minute of it.
Soon after she had returned from taking the Test, her father died in an ambush, an ambush the fool should have seen coming, Ebony had taken her spot at the head of the Hunters. Few apposed her self appointment, but these didn't live long to cause her grief.
Her gaze fell on the home of the Steeldoves. Yes, soon enough it would be just another building in the Featherborns city. She could smell their victory, almost taste it. Soon enough the Steeldove hold on the city would be no more.

Arrami let his hands slide over the seemingly solid stone walls, he knew that there was a narrow opening here somewhere, disgused with a magical ilussion. This was a disguise often used to hide when he was getting tired, which was more and more often. "I have a few assignments for you. The first will be to keep an eye on the Lady Steeldove in the lower dungeons. The next will be to inform Tynan that he is to gather in as much information as he possibly can, but not break the treaty. The last is to pull everyone out of the hunt for the necklace. Focus on turning the war in our favor. Kill sentries. Ambush patrols. Kill as many Steeldoves as possible, except for the leaders. Understood?" He was never very friendly around the Hunters. He walked beside her, meeting her stride, "Send word to Tynan. Tell him that his Lord wants as much information as he can get, but it is vital that he not brake the treaty.
"And I want you to pull everyone out of the hunt for the necklace. Refocus on gaining the upper hand in this little war. Delia looks back and forth for a moment, then looks at Arrami. She can see the Featherborn resemblance in him, another son "I must be crazy." She whispers, she then nods her head to tell him she will go with him

Ebony made her way through the rows of cells. The prisoners hid in the shadows, trying not be catch her eye. There was no worry of that right now. The Hunter had only one prisoner she wanted to see.
As she came around the corner, just past the intarigation rooms, she stopped. "Master Kendal. What a pleasents suprise. I see you have come to make sure that Lady Steeldove is comfortable." Ebony smiled at the eldest Featherborn. They had never seen eye to eye. He followed a code of honor that hindered every step she had taken to retreive the necklace. Everything her family had died for. But even though his morals made her sick, she held her tongue. After all: he was a Featherborn, and Ebony would always be loyal to him and his family.

"It's an excellent day to be crazy" Arrami said, flashing her a sly smile. "I should know, I've been it the whole day through, and things do not seem to get better. Right now, for example, I am helping my father's arch-nemesis to escape, just when he had gotten hold of her. And I think a mysterious lady has turned my head without my consent to it. And it still early. You have to admit that it is impressing."
He led her down the dark corridors, knowing them by heart, every single one. It had taken years to learn, and he knew for sure that she would never find te way back by herself. "I am going to take you to Steeldove territory. I would advice that you find your daughter quickly, she seems to be in danger."

Kendal turned before he got a good look in the cell. How the loathed that woman. The greatest stain on the Featherborn honor. Though she served unquestionally, her way of service was despiceable. Where it not because his inner fear of facing her or others of the Hunters in melee combat outwieghted even his own honor, he would have pushed and demanded that his father released the guild from service. "Ebony," he says, bowing his head as much as courtesy demanded.

"And how is our guest?" Ebony stood next to the Featherborn heir, making sure to make him as uncomfortable as possible. She looked into the cell and found that it was empty. Was this some sort of joke. Ebony whispered a few workds in a language that sounded like the wind and the cell door flew open. She stormed in and searched the emply cell, looking for any hint to where the Steeldove woman was. "Guards! Guards! Where is she? You've let her escape, you fools!" She pushed her way past Kendal to the small troup of men that worked the dungouns who had gathered around the cell. "Find her now, or you will find a worst fate than you have ever imagioned!" The tarified lot began to search the other cells for the missing prisoner.
Ebony turned her attention back to Galacad's eldest son. She eyed him up and down. Could he have had something to do with her escape? No, not likely. That would have been disobaying his fathers orders. His honor would not allow that.
She pushed past in and re-entered the cell to look more closely for clues to how she had gotten away.

Kendal looks at the cell, not really surprised. Actually a little relieved. The Lady seemed to be more resourceful than he expected. Then his curiosity took over. How could her influence extend to the Featherborn Mansion? It was in the deep of Featherborn territory, far beyond the reach of any Steeldove agent. None of the servants here would dare, or be able to, rescue her. She must be a mage. No, his father would have seen it at once. There was no way she could hae escaped, unless... She did get help. Help from someone with the time and resources to know everything about the castle and the guard shifts. Someone who, unlike his or her stature would disobey Galaclads direct orders in favour of his own whims. Someone who never liked this war in the first place... Kendal spinned on his heel and headed upstairs.

"ARRAMI!" Kendals yell echoed through the halls, in spite of the confusion already rippling through the Mansion. The rumour had travelled with the speed of the wind, reaching peoples ears at the same time as, or even before, the news of the Ladys capture. Kendal marched through the halls unhindered. No one stepped in his way as he made his way to his brother's private chambers.

But my father acted wrongly for a man who claims to be honorable, and thus, I could not watch and do nothing. And if your daughter is in danger even though you probably were promised that she would be done no harm... Well, I have never met her, so what do I know of what kind of person she is? So should I hate her, only because she is a Steeldove, should I wish her ill? I cannot see why this should be. So I help, not because I think your cause is more just than my father's, but because I have my own."

The dust on the stone walls still lay thick on each stone. She turned to the guards who stood at the cell door. "Go and fetch me my hunters." After they both ran off in different directions, ebony turned her attention back to the cell. "You think you've out smarted my, don't you Steeldove wentch. But you underestimate me. "Well, I met a young lady with a quite interesting suggestion" Arrami said with a big smile. He REALLY liked that girl. "Because if your daughter and dear ol' Kendal would... shall we call it "join forces"?... well, then the problem would be solved. 'Problem is that my father would probably eat a gullydwarf before he let that happen. I don't know aout you, though, but that could be a solution."
He suddenly stopped by an old staicase that spiraled upwards from the tunnel. "Here we are. If you don't mind, I will be going up here as well. Don't want to run into anything unpleasant down here. You know, they have probably found out by now, so... And I'll just take the fastest way to Featherborn territory. Your guards really do not mind me anymore, since they know me to be a notorious flirt an visitor of various clubs all around tows. Look of relief shows on her face "Arla she is ok, good." As she listens to the plan he tells her she nods her head sadly "Yes, I understand and it would make sense that a necklace built on love should be found together by both familys and kept with both of them. But I will not pressure my daughter into marrying someone like him, she is to marry whom she sees fit. Will this ever end?" She sighs.

She then smiles "Oh so you are the heartthrob that has been getting all my girls in a flutter as of late. You need not worry though, for this you will have access to my lands as long as your swear not to use it for any evil acts."

Ebony and a group of 6 Hunters entered to secret passage. The tunnel ran past the entrence from the cell. "You three go to the left, the rest of you go to the right. If you find the Steeldove witch, I want her alive. Stop at nothing to bring her to me. I will make it worth your while. Now go."
As her men ran through the secret passages, Ebony made her way back into the cell that had had never failed to hold a prisoner before. When her hunters returned, she would have the escape rout seal. Oh, how she loathed that woman for escaping. They had underestimated her. Underestimated her conections. She must have had help.
Ebony needed to think about this, but first she would needed a stress reliever. She walked over to the interigation room. There, an interigater was trying to get a young man to divulge information about the Steeldoves. "Leave us." She ordered. "I will take care of this one myself." The underling scuried away like the rat he was. She grabbed his arm as he past her. Hopefully this would make anyone suspicious believe that he had only been out on one of his usual rounds. He would have to make an appearance at the castle before meeting up with Arla, who by now should've been able to escape, since he did not think that jis father had posted any guards under the window. Arrami was probably the one who was going to have to take the blame when they found out about it, but then again, he usually got the blame for a lot of things.

When they where younger, Kendal used to tease him with that he believed his younger brother to be the result of an unlikely affair between his father and a kender, since he was always so reckless. Nowadays, Kendal never teased or laughed at him. In fact, Kendal rarely laughed at all. I know you want to see it gone and I know you less than approve of fathers methods. Neither do I. However you came to look and smell like that, I don't know. But it was not from last night, I saw you earlier in the morning. I don't know if you know it, but under fathers orders, I captured the Lady Steeldove and brought her here. Father tried to negotiate, but the Lady would not bend from the decisions that keeps this war going. So, the threw her in the dungeon to use as blackmail against the Steeldoves, to put a close to this. But, strangely enough, under anything but direct observation, in the deep dungeons, she escaped in less than ten minutes. Brother, do you know any of this?"

The anger in his voice was real: Old pent-up anger against this bloody feud and his brother being such an idiot.
I heard that conversation, he thought furiously to himself. Father is keeping this war going just as much as lady Steeldove! How can you not see? Are you really that brainwashed? This war isn't about right versus wrong, brother, and you are a fool if you cannot see it. This is about hunger for power versus hunger for power. And it will never end unless we finally resolve upon joining forces!
