OOC: This is my first thread i've started so be nice okay.
Setting: this takes place just after the WotL in a place just east of the Dargaard Mountains at an inn in a small unknown town
Races: all 'good' races such as elves, humans, kender, you get the idea. No draconians or the like.

my chara...
Name: Drena Woodsparrow
Race: cursed elf
Gender: female
Age: 98 ish
Class: sorceress
Appearance: She looks young and beautiful like an elf but since the incident with the curse she has walked around with cat ears sticking out of her black hair. She wears a black robe and keeps the hood up all the time. Has dark green eyes and fair skin.
Bio: orphaned at age 16 and forced to live off the land. she grew up with nature and only recently began to reenter society. During the time she was developing her social skills (about age 70-85) she managed to accidently tick off a black robed mage. The curse he cast on her caused her to turn into a blck cat at night.

IC: A young elf walked into the small tavern and took a seat. The place was totally empty so she ordered a glass of wine and reached her hand into a pocket of her robes and pulled out a small map of the continent. She sipped her wine as she looked the parchment over, checking her route carefully before sighing and putting the map away. She had hoped to pick up some companions along the way but no one in the other towns had seemed intrested in a mage's quest. She heard the door to the tavern open and looked up to see who had entered.

OOC: So you're a wizard or a sorceress?

Name: Digofein Passimo
Race: Dwarf (Theiwar Clan)
Class: Red Robe Wizard (any particular lvl?)
Weapons: Copper Dragon Headed Staff and Dagger
Backround: Living out of what's been called copper canyon by the Theiwar inhabitants to find that their home was in fact tied to a Copper Dragon lair when Paladine's dragons were awakened during the War of the Lance. The Copper and Theiwar struck a deal that would ensure both their safety by increasing the copper's wealth slightly over the years and adding wards and guards to protect the treasure as the copper helped guard against pesky Red Dragons living in the area, as it was well known that dwarves entering a new mountain would often run into a dragon who has already decided to call it home. "Digs" as he's called was commisioned to rider the dragon Morcalivan and assist him during battles with the reds. Since then they've been the best of friends.

IC: It was a dawrf, a short and stubby little dwarf dressed in red and carrying a staff with a copper dragon head on the end of it. Marching in like he was about to receive an applause he sat down chin up looking proud. The conclave have been spotted a small increase in apprentices as one of the Heroes of the Lance being the mage Raistlin, although for now they've managed to keep his being an evil renegade out of the poeple's ears. He waved his hand at the barmaid, snappers his fingers to get her attention and she came over swallowing the anger from the dwarf and taking his order.

OOC: I would like to use an old character that I liked

Name: Kelevandra

Gender: Female

Race: Elven

Class: Cleric of Mishakal

Bio: Missionary, spreading the word of Mishakal to little towns and villages.

IC: Kelevandra walked down the stairs, followed by the innkeeper's wife, "Thank you so very much for healing my son, Cleric. To say thankyou I would like to give you fresh food and a room for the night."
"I am very sorry madam, but I can't stay long I must move on to spread the word of Mishakal", she saw the innkeeper's wife look crestfallen. "But I would like that meal please, I haven't eaten all day."
The innkeeper's wife smiled once more, "Coming up, and I will also give you provisions for your trip, find a table and I will get you the food."
Kelevandra nodded and the wife went off into the kitchens, Kelevandra looked around and the only table free was a table with a black robe sitting at it; she didn't have any animosity and decided to sit at the table. She noticed the black robe was looking at a map of Ansalon, "Could I have a look at your map please? I have forgotten where I am compared to the main cities and towns."

OOC: Sadistic a 17 age elf would be still attached to his mommy's nipple, I don't think he'd be a mage let alone adventuring just yet. :p Speaking of mages, we now have 4, and out of 6 poeple we have 1 Fighter, who is a ranged attacker. I hope I'm not the only one who noticed that. Also what robe are Sadistic and Storm? What schools do they specialize in that the others dont have? White-Good (Divination and Abjuration), Red-Neutral (Illusion and Transmutation), Black-Evil (Necromancy and Enchantment). Weapon is usually an actual dagger or staff or both, it's a given they have magic as a mage. I'm assuming Storm is a Black Robe since he's called a Dark Elf. Hopefully you don't mean the Forghotten Realms dark elf.

Guys don't post unless you're given permission by the creator.

A Very Young Elf was at a table far in the back reading a torn and badly conditioned book. At his side was a staff with a black crystal on top, That shone with a hollow light. He wore the red robes of Neutrality. He had long black hair that was darker than the night, On the table next to the book was a glass of what looked to be tea. He seemed very stressed about somthing, He looked up, and around the taveren then set his head back down to read the book.

He slides the book into a pouch in his robes, and stands up. He walks over to the inkeeper and asks for a room, He pulls out a silver coin from his robes, he waits for the inkeeper to tell him witch room, After that he walks up the stairs then goes to the last door in the hall on the right. he puts in a key and opens it, He walks in and locks the door, He walks to the bed, next to the bed is a desk made of wood, he pulls out the spell book and puts it on the desk, he goes to sit down when he rembers he left his staff downstairs. He runs to the door unlocks it and runs back downstairs.

as the tall elf wearing the black robes of evil enter the inn he noticed a young elf of the Red order asseding the stairs. he took little note of the occurance because mages of all the robes frequented this place. He waved to the bar tender for an ale. he strolled over to a table in the corner and sat down. He then realized that he couldn't see his black bound book on the table. He cast a white glowing ball of light to hover just above him. And that is when he saw the staff with the black crystal top.

He dose not like the way the mage was looking at his staff, so he closes the book and returns it to a pocket in his robes, He gets up from the desk and grabs His staff. He decides to not stay the night here. he picks up the key and walks back downstairs to the counter, Ive decided not to stay the night.
You wont be getting your money back tho
looks at inkeeper, thats ok i understand but could u pack up four loafs of bread one block of cheese and A container of water.
That will be Two silvers.
Reaches into his robes and pulls out Two coins, here you go. Places the coins in the inkeepers hands in exchange for food.
Looks over to were Two people are looking over a map, his gaze is drawn to the table with the mage there, he quickly takes the food and walks out of the tavern.

Digs takes another sip of his ale, not nearly as good as dwarf spirits but it's better than water. Looking over he saw the elves and couldn't help but be disgusted as to their drinking habits, or better yet, their lack there of. "Wine, BAH!"

Drena next looked over at the dwarf having heard his rather loud statement. "You got a problem with civilized drink?" She growled.

OOC: i just wanted to clear this up. Drena isn't a mage of the black robes; she's an untrained sorceress that happens to wear black robes.

I'm a newbie at this just to remind you.....

Name:Sirran
Age:29
Height:5 "11"
weight:170 lbs
Race:Human
Class:Cleric (Takhisis)
Weapons/Armor:Twin maces and helm, Each with delicate spiderweb tracings all along the surfaces, black robes, and clerical magic

IC:Sirran walked along the beaten path in the drizzling morning rain and stopped at an old inn, noting the sign on the door. He walked in and noticed it unnusually full, he glanced around for a place to sit and noticed a small table with a few seats left. He noticed a black robed sorceress and thought he might be more welcome there. He walked over and introduced himself, saying I am Sirran, a cleric, seeking adventure or employment. May I join you?.........

You up for a journey?" underneath the hood her cat ears twitched and she heard the firsat drops of rain fall on the ground outside.

As Sirran listened to the elf he noticed something peculiar about her eyes, something that reminded him faintly of a cat...he dismissed the notion without a second thought, by the way he had walked a couple of hours and was pretty hungry. Sirran entered the small room, and took out a pouch of salt from his belt. He really wasn't tired, he had only walked a couple of hours that morning. He took the salt, spread it in a circle on the floor and gently stepped inside. He had to make sure they weren't lying to him . He pulled his black robes tightly against him and brought out a small onyx star from inside his robes. It had been personally given to him by Lord ariakas during the war of the lance. He set the figure before him and began the spell. He had not let on that he knew where the adventurers were going. He had heard very faintly The plains of dust.... As The spell took hold he brought the plains of dust into view, Searched harder, brought a forest into his sight and saw in front of him a cruel looking forest, It was possibly the most evil-looking thing he had ever seen. Thorns grew on every branch.... but he knew the spell was almost over when his room came back into view. He picked up his figurine and walked towards the door, He did not know how long the spell had taken but he figured it was probably a couple of hours. The artifact was powerful but its powers were limited and taxing on the person. He had forgotten all about the ring of salt in his bedroom, as he walked down the stairs and handed the inkeeper the key to the bedroom....

"You are welcome to accompany us though. if of corse there are no objections." She looked around at the others for approval.
She turned to face him. "You should trust my word instead of wasting strength and time." She said slyly.

The ground outside was muddy but she had no problem as it seemed to dry out a second before her foot touched the ground. "To the Plains of Dust then. I'll be glad to get rid of this accursed weather." the last part she muttered under her breath.
A gust of damp wind blew through so strong that she had to hold onto her hood to keep it from blowing off. She couldn't have that happening

The days had been dreary for Sirran, cold and desalote. The days had turned into a week by now, and he was wondering how he had come into this situation. Oh well he thought, maybe this will be worth it when we reach the crystal forrest, his mind drifting to the wonders that might lay within. He was suddenly jolted from his daydreaming when Drena screamed "GOBLINS". He started preparing an offensive spell, when the first of the orange-skinned creatures stepped out of the woods.....

OOC: Sorry all, im going to be off of the forums tommorrow, possibly the next.

Without thinking Drena hurled a fireball right into the thick of them and sent a magic missle spell right after. She was used to attacks from such petty creatures and had a great deal of practice at destroying them.

right then a massive centaur came flying out of the woods with a huge battle axe in his hands. with one swift thrust he split open a handful of the goblins.

He was a tall built centaur with a strap on his back where he could hold his battle axe. He had a crossbow strapped to his waste and a bundle of darts tied around his wrist. He was wearing armor on his chest and gauntlets on his hands. his helmet had holes cut out of the top so his horns could poke out. he had arms that looked as if they were built all of his life. his skin, wut they could see of it, was dirty and and streched by all of his muscles. he had green eyes that looked like they could scare even the strongest of warriors.

OOC: I am really really sorry, my computer didn't register that there were new posts  . So me back again :D

IC: Kelevandra heard the call for the goblins, she automatically moved her hand to the pendant of Mishakal around her neck. She watched as she saw Drema moved her hands in a spidery and fluid motion, the fireball was released, she knew what was going to happen. Kelevandra revered life, but knew that in some cases death was necessary, she turned her head and felt some of the heat touch her, she clenched her eyes shut as she heard Drema continue her chanting and a few feeble screams of goblins were heard.
A loud roar brought her head flinging around, a great centaur had burst in from the undergrowth killing the last of the goblins; she heard what the centaur said, and then she could hear them, a chattering and twittering came from where the centaur was before. Kelevandra froze still holding her medallion.

OOC: Just wondering if there are wands in DL, such as clerical or wizard wands that have a certain amount of charges. I know in D&D there is, but didn't know about DL.

Sirran watched the twenty or so goblins coming out of the forrest. This was going to be excercise for him noughing more, seeing that the goblins posed no threat to him, he pulled a long slender wand from his belt and sent several arcs of electrical bolts into the middle of them killing several and horribly burning others. Sirran watched in amazement as a centaur jumped into the middle of them skewering more than afew in the process, he could already tell this was going to be an interesting day.....

The centaur whipped aroud brilliantly with battle axe in hand and ripped a gash into the goblin standing behind him. as he was about to deal the killing blow he sensed another goblin that had leaped towards his back. he kicked the goblin in mid air with his steal plated hooves which launched him towards a being that was also fighting the goblins. He must be a wizard do to the fact that he just launched a lightning bolt into the group of attacking goblins. As he dealt his crushing blow to the kneeling goblin he noticed two other beings, more than likely elves. but he didn't have much time to observe, he was still being attacked.

OOC: is Valis and Digofein still in this?

BIC: "urggg, die fiendish goblins" His adrelanine was now super high. He had not fight along side anyone for a long time and newver along side a wizard or an elf, it was just too exciting.

IC: Drena ran forward and tossed the cleric aside, driving a small knife into the stomach of a goblin that was about to attack. In a flash the knife was gone, melted back into the flesh of her wrist. One of the creatures came up behind her and snagged her robes, causing the hood to fall back. She spun around and cast a horrible spell that left the unfortunate creature nothing but a pile of bloody goo. Without even thinking of the others' reaction to her...ears, she continued with the massacare.

The Centaur stood and stared at the elf as she used her mystic powers. he was amazed, this is the closest he had ever been to an elf and she just used some form of magic it was amazing. his hypnotized gaze was broken when another creature tried ot creep up behind him he swung his great battle axe around taking off the head of the unsuspecting goblin. He looked around once again trying ot figure out wut the hell was going on. It felt like he was back at that faitful battle long ago again...

Kelevandra was tackled to the ground, she ran into the middle of the group, goblins were runnning around, she gripped her amulet, shut her eyes tightly and shouted "Stop it". Silence surrounded her, she fell to her knees, her eyes still closed; she was calm and safe, she opened her eyes and all she could see was white, there was a slight tingling music in the background she felt relaxed some more.

Jackolius noticed that one of the beings not too far from him had dissapeared. she must have casted some sort of spell. He was not very knowlegable in the ways of magic but he found it all very interesting. he also noticed that there was a being staring at him confused. Maybe he had never seen a centaur before. Drena had just enough strength to cast another fireball spell before she had to rest. She, as the cat ears suggested was very good at climbing trees and so that was the first thing she did, climbed a tree. She cast her last spell and hid herself in the greenery, finally remembering to pull her hood up. Sirran watched in amazement as the scenes fell before his eyes, first as the half-horse creature jumped out and skewering goblins, then at Drena as her hood fell back revealing some sort of curse to her otherwise normal being. He also saw the other cleric as she disappeared crying "STOP IT", he knew the spell quite well actually, the one named sanctuary, but he didn't have time as three goblins jumped in front of him. He slid the wand back into his belt and pulled the two maces from their sheaths, bashing one of the goblins on the head and the other in it's ribs. The magic of the maces covered the goblins in sticky spiderwebs as it hungrily drained their fleeing energy and gave it to himself. Sirran turned just in time to see the third goblin come at his back trying to find an opening in his defenses. Sirran wipped both of his maces around smashing a clean hit in the goblins face and another in it's stomack. The maces once again did their work draining the energy and feeding it to himself, curing the minor wounds and scratches that the goblin's had inflicted on him. As Sirran looked around he saw the battlefield a bloody mess with bloated goblin bodies lying around. He looked around for Drena but didn't see her anywhere.

his thoughts were inturrupted when a goblin dove towards rear legs from the side. Jackolius spun around and flattened the goblin under his front hooves. Goblin Blood oozed out of the wounds created by his steal hooves. It was this type of kill that made Jackolius curl up inside. The Goblin was still screaming in pain and death

Sirran looked around once more and noticed that they seemed to be missing Drena and the other cleric, but other than that the whole troup didn't seem to be taking any serious wounds. He looked around once more for Drena and not seeing her cast a simple search spell focusing on a picture of Drena the whole time. The light of false dawn filled the sky. she knew it would be a few more hours before the sun rose but she couldn't sleep any longer. something was wrong, she could feel it. She pulled on her robes and walked downstairs. They were broke so she figured that she might as well get started doing whatever chores the innkeeper could find.

she ended up with scrubbing the floors in the kitchen. It was an easy job that was done in an hour or so. Magic was definatly useful. she walked out to the common room and took a seat, not expecting the others to be awake for a while.
she had worn her hood down for the last two weeks ann found that the benifit of hearing better outweighed the embarassment of walking around with everyone staring. She ordered breakfast and waited for everyone.

Sirran had always been an early riser and was tidying his room up after his sleep. He took one last look around the room and satisfyed that it was clean, found an empty spot on the floor and took a seat, sitting cross-legged. He lit one solitary candle in the room and then pulled a leather bound book out of one of his many pouches on his robes. He had already set a quill and an ink bottle before him and as he dipped it he started to write....

Today begins the ninth day of the second month,

"Drena says we will be heading in search of the crystal tower sometime in the next few days. We have had a tough trek from the Dargaard mountains and we are now bordering the plains of dust. It will be a tough walk from here to the forest, or whatever it is. However Takhisis greatly wishes me to take this opportunity for greater glory. Also I think that Drena has some sort of curse about her, I can feel it emmanating from about her. Also, she seems to be able to climb trees without a second thought, and her eyes give one the impression of cat-like beauty. I used the obsidian-star last night, and now that we are much closer to the forest I was able to detect a trail leading there, it starts about eight miles south of here, and if we follow it we may be able to reach the forest much faster, however I do not know how to bring this news to the others, seeing that they do not know that I hold the artifact. This is all I will write for now, and after I say my daily prayers I will go down and have breakfast"

As Sirran shut the small book he spread his hands over it, muttering a few words and after a secoond a faint purplish glow spread down over his arms and into his fingers, he then released the energy onto the book and after it faded he picked it up and slid it back into the folds of his robes. Thinking to himself Sirran said "now anyone who tries to open it will be horribly burned" He thought of this and chuckled. After his prayers to Takhisis he opened the door and went out, and walked down the stairs. In coming into the common room he noticed that Drena was sitting by herself alone at a table. He walked over and said "up so early are we" [laughs].

Jackolius was awakened by the sound of a rat searching for food frantically as if he had a family to feed or maybe even a group of rats that have banned together t oform more of a colony. He stood up and walked out of the stall of the inn. He would have been kept in one of the rooms but he was too big for the beds. He was used to sleeping in the stall because that was the only logical place to keep a horse-sized being. As he stepped out of the barn a man greeted with a hearty good mornig adn proceeded to say "Breakfast is served in the common room." He said his thanx and walked towards the inn. As he entered the common room He noticed that Sirra nadn Drena were already there. Jackolius looked at Drean and said good morning and then walked over to one of the ends of the table and sat without a chair, for he would break it. He still wasn't quite used to human life yet but he was adjusting...

I have something to confess, Sirran admitted to Drena and Jackolius. I would not have revealed it save for necessity to our quest. Besides being a cleric I might be called something of a seer. I have travelled to the crystal forrest..... in my dreams. But there is a road to take, not eight miles south of here. With that said, I am sure you will have something to say to me...

Sirran was starting to like this centaur, like how blunt he was and his frankness. "Well a seer is someone who can travel into the future, can see things in their dreams". "The reason I did not mention this earlier was because there was no need to, seeing that I hadn't found a trail there yet". And about it being the safest road, I have no idea, but it will cut down our traveling time immensely".

There must have been a reason my sister wanted to go there. And i'm sure it wasn't for the books." She looked out the window thoughtfully and drummed her fingers on the tabletop. At this Jackolius looked around to see if anyone else would be getting up out of bed. Hethe nlooked at Drena adn bowed his head. "i swear my services to yo umiss."
He then looked adn Sirran, "And yo uhave my protection as well adn you have my friendship, as long as you will accept them." He bowed to him as well. He had been rasied as a soldier and has always loved protecting he found it one fo the funnest challenges.

"Thank you but i fear that in the end it shall be the other way around. The problems i see cannot be fought by sword or mace or axe. Magic will have to protect us. I only pray that i am strong enough." She said softly. She was afraid that she knew why her sister was bringing the book. She wanted drena to go to the forest because there was no way that she herself could get in. No one God of magic had dominion in the forest, all ruled equaly. That meant that most likely only one who had magic and yet worshipped no single god of magic would be able to breach the inner tower's defenses. She was the only one like that...she would need to be stronger than ever.

"The road will be a long and tiring one, not to mention trying to even reach the tower", Sirran said, looking out the south window. "We will need all of our power and strength to breach the forest that surrounds it". "We should get plenty of rest before we start out tommorrow" he said as he was walking up the stairs, And with one final call down, "please wake me before supper, if you would be so kind".

Valis coulden't help and wonder why a human would be so interested in the forrest. He kept quiet and never said a word. Only following them and helping them when need. However he did not like there plan on using power to go to the forrest, sometimes he wonders if he ever going to live as them.

Drena strode off in the general direction that she believed the forest to be in. Despite the heat she kept her cloak around her and her hood up. It just wouldn't do for her to get sunburned. Jackolius looked west towards some snow capped mountains, and thought aloud, "With all of this damned heat here i wanna be up there." HE smiled, but kept the real reason for looking to hte mountains secret. HE was thinking of the savage beasts who had killed his whole tribe. He looked south, "South?? hmmmm it si goignto get really hot isn't it?" He didn't mind much bc he was used to the heat bc the island didn't have winter it was an oven all year round. You learned to just get used ot it. He had started to sweat though and it is said that centaurs sweat pure water, but he wasn't about to drink his own sweat unles he was in dire need of water.
