(Ooc: This is a thread for unloading your problems for general support and all around pity parties-along with cyber cookies, cakes, shortbread... well you get the idea. Having a horrible, awful bad terrible no-good day? Sarala is always willing to listen with some sympathy and a homemade treat of your choice ready to hand. Come in character or as yourself all are welcome here.)

Name: Sarala
Race: Half Elf
Age: 25
Class: eh, civilian I guess
History: Sarala is the daughter of a Kagonosti Hunter and a human herbalist. Her father was killed by a wild boar and she and her widowed mother kept the neighboring village happy with herbs and simples. Though she's never had any formal Druidic training Sarala has all the right instincts. she can and does communicate with the flora and fauna of the woods. Despite her young years she is extremely matronly and tends to nurture everything in her path from lost children to wounded birds.

She came home one day from one of her walks in the forest to find her mother had vanished. not knowing what else to do she stayed in her house and turned it ito a psudo bakery. She induldges day in and day out in her one passion, cooking. She does not charge for her services but askes instead that her patrons donate what they can if they can.
Villagers come to her for food, charms and healing. They keep her solvent in any food supplies she may need.

Welcome to Sarala's house as you enter the humble cottage the inviting scent of baked goods greets your nose and you feel at home at once. There is a coat rack by the door and mat to wipe your boots on. On the mantle is a jar with coins in it-these are tokens from previous patrons. Sarala is standing at a table up to her arms in cookie dough she smiles and invites you to take a seat.

OOC: Thanks.
IC:
"Hello, actually I just ate though you might talk me into something later. Actually I was wondering if you were willing to listen to my rambling for awhile." Rachel said while taking a seat. She was cheered by Sarala's happiness.

Sarala smiled at the woman as she patted the dough flat. "Of course I'm willing to listen, and if I can't offer advice perhaps someone else can."

I may not be able to be on until Friday evening due to RL fun (bleh) If I don't post by Sat. Night I've lost power (we're due for an icky one up here).

OOC: Must agree with Kaitirin with your avatar, Raeraymusic. Really funny! Though I wouldn't fall for it like that other stick figure did. Ummm Kait...is this an adventure soon to happen or is it just a way to release our problems of RL in character form? Got any chocolate chip cookies? Got milk? If so, I'm there!

OOC: Sorry it took so long for me to post back. I had homework......And then more homework :( . Ah well. Atleast I'm going to have good grades this time.
IC:
"Well, I'm in this band type thing and I'm the youngest one there and everyone other than me sucks really bad and I'm the director's favorite.......because I can actually play. But then there's this one guy who'd three years older than me that seems to hate my guts. He can't play for crap and always gets there 10 minutes late and complains about the director yelling at him for being late. Then he going and critisizes everything he plays. And while he's always late, never practices, and is a jerk to all of the freshman he never gets punished. I'm the one getting punished having to spend time with him 'cuz we play the same part. I end every rehersal wanting to kill him. And I still have two more weeks of this and I can't stand it cuz then I have another 6 month long marching band season to spend with him!" Rachel said gradually becoming angrier.

Raeraymusic: *hugs* Yuck. I've been there (well not in a band but similar situation). This is going to sound cheesy but hang in there. this guy will be out of there in the next year or two and in the meantime a new studen with talent may come in. things like this look real good on resumes of all kinds and props for being able to play an instrument (I'm lucky if little kids don't run screaming whenever I just look at one). What do you play?

Gypsy: Of course I still love you chica!

"I play trumpet. Which is sometimes hard being a girl in a mostly guy section. Thanks I probably should just let him be. I have enough other friends. I like being 2cd chair but I was 1st last year. Then again we have 3 times the people. Music is the path I'm wanting to follow in life. I can't do much else."

OOC: Gee thanks for answering my questions, Kaitirin. Oh, Raeraymusic...you could have atleast said thanks. Are my words as invisible as I am? Ya know, most people usually tell me to go away, but never have I been ignored.

With that said, I highly doubt I will tell you what troubles me most, but I'm sure you can figure that out from what I have stated above. If you haven't figured it out and you take the time to cast a see invisibility spell on my seemingly invisible postings, then I will bring in a character named Nic (it's my real name).

behave physche. I didn't havd much time to post that day and haven't since. I've barely had time to keep up with Forever Bound. Also I'm not dear Abby, this is a place for Everyone to offer moral support to everyone else. and I'm not just yelling at you here dear, 'cause everyone else seem's to be a little slow on the uptake here:

THIS IS NOT AN RP!!! it's a chat and gripe thread where everyone is here to offer love support and, if they have it advice when people have a problem.
(and hon I ALWAYS have chockolate chip cookies and milk...or anything else that tickles your fancy. the correct question is "May I have some" or "Where are they".)

Alright "Psyche", at which point in time are you going to wise up and read the previous posts??? I mean, she's answered the same questions from more than one person on more than one occasion. You now have the nerve to use sarcasm against someone who has done absolutely nothing to deserve your online wrath. Which question did she fail to answer..." Got any chocolate chip cookies? Got milk?"......ummmmm......does this really require a response???? Most of us have lives that revolve around things other than an online RP site. Please remember this this next time you feel invisible....

I would advise you re-read the forum posting rules these things are covered there.

I was going to come in as a character, but as myself as well. Just like Kaitirin did with Sarala, sorta. I didn't mean anything bad by what I posted. I actually thought Kaitirin's response was quite charming. :D But isn't this sorta RPing? Just as ourselves though(except for Sarala). My problem is people always seem to ignore me and that's how my character(myself) would have had a reason to unload some problems, plus help out with whatever problems you all had too.
Gypsy: If I offended you in any way, please accept my apologies and let's start over with a clean slate, okay with you? *gets on knees and hold hands together, begs for forgiveness to both you and Kaitirin*

Psyche, I forgive you dear. Kaitirin is my best friend on this site and in real life so I automatically went on the defense for her. I apologize to you if I was harsh. *Extends hand in friendship*

*Gets up off of knees and shakes hand* Thanks for forgiving this silly fool.

IC: Nic walks into the bakery. It's been along time since he's had some sweets and the aroma which eminated from the constant opening of the front door, penetrated his nostrils and he had to get some fresh baked cookies, just like his mother used to make before her sudden death from a difficult disease to cure.

Behind the counter was an elven woman as well as a few patrons waiting for their home baked goodies. Nic steps up to the counter and smiles. "Hello there miss. Some fresh baked cookies and a tall glass of milk would be appreciated, if I may and if you have the time, I would like to talk. I think of myself as a nice guy, most of the time and although I don't think sometimes before I talk, I do have respect for those who work hard to make others smile. You seem to be the kind of woman who deserves such respect. Care to make me smile, please. I've had some rough times as I'm sure everyone has, but if you have the time to listen to a jabberjaw, that would be appreciated." He says as he smiles at the one behind the counter.

Kaitirin (and the rest of you guys), I assume you've read the Code of Conduct. If that's the case, then you should know that these forums are for Dragonlance discussions (and in the case of the ICRP section, Dragonlance roleplaying). We don't allow off-topic discussions here as there are plenty of other places for generic chatting.

While I understand that people may need to talk about things, this isn't the place to do so (unless the talking is centered around Dragonlance). I'm closing this thread.

Here's a link to the Code of Conduct: http://www.dragonlanceforums.com/rules.php I suggest that those of you who haven't already done so read it.
