Forword-
Hello and welcome one and all to my newest thread. If you've ever role played with me before then you know that for the most part I'm pretty laid back with my threads and I like the players to truely shape the outcome of the story, but at the same time I do have rules which I expect to be followed. I also have a set story arc that I like to follow so that the thread doesn't go where it's not meant to and end up dying on us, so please try to follow any instructions I may give out of character and please don't go making your character some ultimate hero that can teleport everywhere and kill everything, we work as a team and we have fun.

Rules of Play-
1. No inapproaite language. There are excepts, because ofcourse if a giant Ogre's about to smash your face in then your character might swear, that's ok, but please don't swear every second word and please no sexual, sexist, or racist remarks.

2. No Godmoding. No taking control of other's characters. You may see myself say something for another character, but I will do so only if I have spoken to that characters player out of character first. This does not mean your allowed to do it without express permission from another player.

3. No taking control of the story. Ok, so your character is bend on revenge and retribution, that's fine, a little cliche, but fine. Your allowed to take advantage of something and further your character's own inner quests and such, but if you take control of the thread and turn it to your own personal quest I will kick you out. You want to find some magical badger on a stick, then go make your own thread.

4. Please follow these rules and try to work together with the other players. Because if you don't and try to be some lone hero then chances are you will be killed. More than likely by Kobolds who will then rape and devour your corpse.

Zane Striker, the last of the Charon race. It'd been three months since he'd discovered the truth of his own origins, and still the pain in his heart remained. His parents murder, his entire race destroyed. His home, his memories, all gone.

The beast attacked, it's razor sharp claws lunging for his throat. The flash of steel and the creature's head rolled across the ground, a second later the lumbering body thuding the earth, forever still. A Mercenary by trade Zane could hold his own against most, though even he knew his limits and they were still great. He knew he could someday overcome any obstacle and possibly he may have no choice, but for now he knew what fights he could and could not win.

It was getting dark, time to head back to camp. Kim was making a stew while Tara would be waiting to hear another story. The rest would be back tomorrow, hopefully with transportation to the Capital. A sudden change in the air, like the smell of an approaching thunder storm, only felt more by the mind then smelt by the nose. Zane froze and concentrated on the disturbance, for that was what it was, a great disturbance in the very fabric of reality. And then it hit him.

Like a great wave it ripped across the planet, across the very plane of exsistence. He felt it coming, so fast, too fast to avoid. Impossible to escape. Then a blinding white light as the merc was engulfed in a radient wave of pure energy. Something inside of him screamed out to the wave, and he felt deep inside, a yearning. Then total blackness and an icy cold that creep down the spine and into your very bones.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zane woke to the sound of birds, his head hurt and his vision was blurred as he sat up and looked around. The forest was gone, and so was the night sky. Instead in it's place was large calm lake surrounded by a sparse wood. At first the mercenary was sure he was dreaming, but it was far to real to be a dream, the smell of the slightly damp earth beneath him, the sound of the lake as small fish broke the calm surface, and the birds. But there's was something off. The birds! Thier song, it was wrong somehow.

"Where am I?" groaned Zane as he climbed to his feet and inspected himself. He was all there, dressed in black jeans, a white shirt and his black combat jackets, still had the boots on his feet too and even the songs, so he obviously hadn't been mugged. His weapons were laying near by, his sword and his gun, not much ammo left though, he found when he checked them.

Strapping his sword on his back and his gun at his side the youth looked around. A small wooden cabin stood on the edge of the lake. Better to start somewhere, he thought to himself as he started to walk towards it. Maybe who ever lived inside might be able to tell him where he was...

(OOC: Time to start guys, think of an orignal way to start and come on in. It would be a great help to have one of the Krynnish players be staying in the hut. If one of you wants to do that then please have Zane enter the hut in your post. Thanks!)

Lightfinger had hit the jackpot. Whoever had lived in this cabin was long gone, and had left all their goodies behind. Pockets bulging, the kender tried to stuff even more into them. Some spoons, a ring, a plate (which didn't quite fit), a wine glass, some rotten cheese...whatever he could find. He had just hit the dresser and was "borrowing" the clothes he could find when the door opened. Lightfinger gave a start; someone was home.

Before even turning, he began explaining. "Oh, well, you see I thought that this house was abandoned, and didn't want all these lovely things to go to waste, so I decided to take them with me. It was always my intent to find their owner and-" Lightfinger had turned and had a good look at the strange man in the doorway.

"Wow! You certainly are an odd looking one. Your clothes are so strange! Where did you get them? What is your name?" Lightfinger took a moment to inspect him. "What's that strange little thing at your hip? I've never seen anything like it." Drawing closer, Lightfinger made an unconscious grab for it, only to have his hand swatted away. He looked up. "Hey! I was just going to make sure it was still working, is all."

Just then a strange feeling overtook Lightfinger, very similar to the one he had felt on the last night. He was silent, at last. He looked into the strange man's eyes, and awaited an answer to his many, many questions.

OOC: Hope that one was good enough :)

Semara sat behind her desk listening with forced attention to one of her "fellow" faction members listing off the punishment for some pathetic looking man. It was the forth one today, another of the petty thieves that crawled though their lovely city. Her attention snapped back to the big man reading the list when the charge of murder and the punishment were read to her.

"Give him to the Wyrm." She said offhandedly, signing her name on some official looking paper and pushing it across the desk to the man.

"Madam, didn't you hear? He killed Krishka the Outlander. You know who she was?" The man studdered.

Semara looked up at him calmly. "I'm aware. She was the best mind-reader that has ever entered this great city. She was a cheat, a theif and probably a killer. Would you rather I give him a medal?" Krishka was also one of her Anarchist faction members.

"N-no madam. I just-"

"It would make one question your loyalty to our beliefs. He is a murderer, feed him to the Wyrm." She said coldly.

The guard gave the man a sad look and picked up the paper. With a pleading look at Semara the man was dragged off. He had a 50/50 chance of living, the guard was not unbendingly loyal to his faction, though at least he had some belief in it, unlike Semara.

She smiled and walked to her window, looking out over the Lady's Ward. Her smile faded as she felt a strange pain in her chest. The world around her rippled and she gasped as it melted away...

A sharp pain woke her. She groaned and opened her eyes to find that she was on a roof of some sort and bent over the peak. The sun was bright and made her toss up an arm to shield her eyes. "What the...?" She said, sitting up and looking around. What she saw made her mouth drop open. This was definately not Sigil.

Trees...a lake...apparently she was on a little cottage. What sorcery had brought her here? Surely not that pathetic little man, though he had managed to kill Krishka. Surely not. What was more important at the moment though was where she was, more than how. Maybe it was a test.

Carefully she slipped off the roof and landed on the ground. She reached for her knife only to find that she had left it on her desk. She swore under her breath but drew herself up to her full, yet unimpressive, height.

The door was half open and inside she heard voices. She approched and leaned silently against the doorframe to listen.

She was racing through the woods alongside her older brother. The wind blew at her hair so that it streamed out behind her as they streaked after the deer, gripping their horses with their knees as they strung their bows, preparing to let their arrows fly. They rode bareback, with only a thin leather harness that had been dyed green upon their horse’s heads. Faye had been laughing for the sheer excitement of the chase, for their breathtaking (not to mention neck-breaking) speed they were galloping at. The strange necklace that she had found a couple of days before on her walk was suddenly very heavy against her neck. Where it hung between her breasts, beneath her undergarments it was hot and suddenly there was a blinding flash and she fell from her horse with a cry. Or, at least, she thought that she had fallen from her horse… but she just kept falling… tumbling into a dark void until…

Faye’s breath was momentarily hit out of her as she hit something. The ground. Lying there, she greedily gasped in air, staring up at a blue sky that peeked through an overhanging canopy of tree boughs in patches. Gathering her shaky limbs, willing them to obey her, she slowly sat up. Her mind was thrown into confusion and fright as she realized she was not in the woods behind the twilight city of Aube, of her home. The life-throb of the trees around her were strange, unfamiliar, and the underbrush was thick.
“Rheyndar?” She called out her brother’s name tentatively, looking around, wondering at this sudden phenomenon. “Praudus?” Faye called her horse’s name, and then whistled for her… yet Praudus, the pure white mare, her most prized pet, did not appear as was customary.

Her bow, made of the black bark of the sundarin tree, had been thrown a few paces to her left, and she scrambled to get it and pick up her scattered arrows. The necklace was still throbbing strangely underneath her blouse and her breath was coming short as she began to panic. But suddenly, though the green foliage she spotted the back of a white head… relief filled her. Had her brother fallen through as well then, after all?

“Rheyndar!”

Faye hurried towards him.

Xeri sat in the meditation room at the temple. It would soon be time for martial training and he was eager to prove that he had been practicing. Coming out of his trance, Xeri stood up and went to claim his croesus. The staff's amethyst glinted softly in the dim candlelight. He left the chamber and exited the main building, moving to the central courtyard where combat practice took place. His eyes watered when the sunlight struck him, but he didn't care. The sunlight was beautiful to him and he would welcome it as always. The pain of the light was, to him, a way to cleanse himself of his family's vile predations. He was almost to the yard when the first wave assaulted him. It was over with quickly. A second, more powerful surge, felt like it was tearing his mind apart. The young psion gripped his head, as if trying to keep his skull from splitting in twain. A brilliant flash of light that pierced even closed lids blinded him and he felt himself falling.

THUD! OW! thought Xeri. What happened? Am I dead? It takes a while for the young drow to recover his wits and for his blurred vision to clear. Looking around he realizes he is where he shouldn't be: a forest, next to some dilapidated hut. What in the Nine Hells happened and where am I? wonders the psion.

Zane pushed open the light wooden door and entered the small cabin. A child was inside, going through some drawers or something. Upon hearing him enter the child started babbling about something, before reaching for his gun. Zane pushed the small hand away, and then he noticed that the creature wasn't a child, nor even human.

"What are you?" asked Zane, he drew his gun and leveled it at the creature, it looked innocent enough but then so did some types of demi-demons.

Then he felt it, just like before, it seemed that the fabric of reality was being shifted and ripped. He could suddenly sense the small creature before him, there was an energy within it much like he felt within himself, and there were others nearby with a similar energy. Somehow he suddenly knew this creature was no threat.

"Where am I?" he asked, "And who are you?"

Stizur pushed opened the flap to his command tent, already there where the other captains, waiting on him for his report. In the background the sound of battle was heard, not half a mile away, but no one thought a word or made a movement. He made way for his desk and began to sift through some documents, everything seemed in order. He felt a spark of energy in his head and he knew that the others where beginning to fret, the battle lust was slowly beginning to overcome them. In his mind Stizur watched the battle field, the enemy clearly was advancing, breaking through the defence corps like butter, soon the enemy would be upon them. Stizur barely suppressed his eagerness for a chance to show off his dominance in battle, though he was fragile he was unbelievably fast.

Suddenly he felt the room began to spin, his breathe shortened and his mouth dried up, he started to panic, was he dieing? He saw the other captains reach out to him, shouting messages at him, what where they saying? Stizur tried to reach forward but his limbs wouldn't move, suddenly it went dark.

______________________________________________-

Sound was the first thing to come back, though Stizur wasn't sure what this noise was, it was so... Alien, finally his eyes opened for him and then the strangest thing happened, he was fine. He looked around, alarmed, scared, was he dead? No this wasn't the hall of the fathers! But he was no longer on the battlefield...~My Weapons!!~ his mental scream went unheard though, he was no longer at home. To his great surprise and relief, his weapons where still attached and he had enough ammo to satisfy his needs, he would be safe. He looked down a few feet from himself and looked at this strange flowing blue stream, it was a liquid Stizur had never encountered before. He shrugged, last thing he wanted was to be touching alien liquid.

He ended up walking around a forest for hours, lost with almost no hope of seeing anything, no life what-so-ever. Anger was beginning to swell up inside of him, Anger at being alone, anger at being lost, anger of being scared. He knew nothing about anything right now, for the first time in his life he actually felt like a child. Finally, just after he thought he’d collapse, he saw a cabin not too far ahead, he was blessed.

He went towards the tip of the tree line and climbed up into the crown to get a good look into the window. He had been a scout early on in his army days, such recon work was standard, though this housing was rather primitive. The cabin looked simple enough, probably the home of some hermit, but a quick glance at the door revealed a woman eavesdropping on whoever was inside. Stizur grinned, maybe more was happening than meets the eye. He jumped down to the ground and began running almost immediately, out of sight of the window and the main door. He drew his musket as he reached the side of the building, adrenaline suddenly pumped inside of him putting a faint golden aura around his body. His ear went to the window, to listen to the conversation…

Lightfinger was startled when the gun (though he didn't know it for a gun, obviously) was pulled on him, then pleased at the chance to examine it better. It was quite interesting, and totally foreign to him; every kender's dream. He wanted more than anything to borrow it, just for a quick look of course. But then he realized the man was talking, and after all it would be incredibly rude to just ignore him.

"What am I? That's an interesting question, do you know that no one has ever asked me that? I guess everybody just knew what I was, though really how could they if they hadn't asked? I suppose I'm a kender, and well..." He fell silent. Lightfinger was, amazingly, at a loss to describe what he was, seeing as how he had never though about it, and the feeling still persisted that there was something odd going on, thus he couldn't even begin the average kender rambling that most others of his kind would have attempted. Luckily for him, the man had asked two other questions. Lightfinger went on.

"Where are we, you say? We seem to be in some sort of forest, I of course know exactly where we are, though I couldn't give you the name." Despite the oddness of this situation, some things about kender never change. As he opened up a pouch and rustled through his maps to discover just where they were, he tackled the last question.

"I'm Lightfinger Quickstep, though my friends call me Lightfinger." He rose to shake his new best friend's hand, though the man didn't offer his hand. Lightfinger returned to the maps. "So, now that I've gone and introduced myself...who are you?" Lightfinger, though still as genial as ever, was haunted by that odd feeling and needed to know more.

"Well Lightfinger, I'm Zane Striker" Zane holstered his gun, "But you can call me Zane"

The Charon looked around the cabin as he took in Lightfinger's answers, it all might have seemed a little much to another but he'd meet new races and been lost before.

"A kender you said? Are you Arcadian or Oceanic?" asked Zane, though he had an odd feeling that he wasn't going to like the answer

harthan
12-03-2006, 03:51 PM
"Arcadian? Oceanic? What are those? Are they some other kind of kender? You mean to say there are different kender in the world? How fascinating! I'd so love to meet them, I wonder if they make good food, where do they live..." A long stream of questions followed. Lightfinger continued to babble even as he continued searching the house for things, and hardly noticed Zane's strange look. He didn't stop; now that he had tasks to occupy him he hardly noticed that strange feeling inside him.

His constant stream of words did not allow Zane to respond, and thus made it more and more unlikely that Lightfinger would receive answers. But that odd feeling had diminished slightly, so Lightfinger wasn't so curious for answers. Reaching the area of the window, Lightfinger admired the flowers on the sill. He loved flowers. Bending down to smell them, he suddenly noticed movement. Then he saw a face. Or rather, half of one.

"Great Gadzooks! What in the name of Uncle Trapspringer happened to you!?"

OOC: Malys, that's directed towards your character, just in case you don't catch that. :)

Stizur jumped back several feet, how did this small creature come up to the window so quietly? Immediately his musket was levelled towards the creature’s head, one threatening move and he would release this demon-spawn back to the Abyss, but instead of anything dangerous this creature just spoke to him and stared at him with those strange features. Slowly Stizur backed up, he couldn’t understand the creature and maybe it wouldn’t attack if he left it alone.

Then suddenly he stopped, the woman at the front door? He didn’t know if he had any ability to communicate with this primitive being, but he had to try. Quickly he sent images of the woman leaning against the front door, he made his message seem urgent, hoping he could distract this creature long enough to escape back into the woods.

Suddenly another being came into focus in the window, was it a trap? All these Demons with heads like Stizur had never seen before. He began to panic, his golden aura becoming brighter as his emotions began to surge over him, he wanted nothing more than stick this creature with a sword and get away from this area, but for some reason he stayed. At first he didn’t know why, but he soon realized he felt something, his telepathy sensing something in common with this little fiend. Then he realized the man in the window had it, did the woman also contain this…this spark?

Suddenly he felt it in himself, he couldn’t explain what it was, or why he had it, but it was there all the same.
What was going on?

Zane was startled to say the least bythe incessent babbling, then he just laughed. The small creature, Lightfinger it had named itself, acted just like Franz. Poor Franz, if only he hadn't tried to take on that Tigerian on his own...

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted as he relised Lightfinger was peering out the window at something. Walking over towards the window he tried to answer the Kender's questions.

"No, they're not kender, they're countries..." his voice trailed off as he spotted the thing in the window, "What in the name of **** is that?"

He saw the musket in the creatures hands, a primitive weapon but still effective none the less. In an instant he had his own gun drawn and aimed at the thing's head.

"Lightfinger, move away from the window" he said quietly and deadly serious, "But do it slowely"

Sendoa walked down the blackend road near the volcanic wasteland that the fire demons called home in the world of Xoryn. He had been looking for a demon settlement in the vicinity, he knew that he would not exactly be welcomed as a half-demon or even as an Ice demon but he would get the supplies he needed one way or another.

He saw the shadows of the settlement in the distance and started to run towards it, hoping to make it before dark when some of the more vicious creatures of the land would come out. He was still some distance from the small village when the blood red sun fell behind the mountain range. He started to run faster knowing that though he would put up a formidible fight he would surely lose to the large behemoths that roamed the wasteland.

As if in accordance with his thoughts he was suddenly tackled and held beneath one of the creatures he was thinking about. Fear touched him but he fought to keep from panicking. Just as he prepared himself to pull himself out from under the beast and make a desparate sprint to the settlement a blinding light enveloped his vision.

Sendoa felt a touch of vertigo as he felt himself being lifted from the land. For a moment he thought about the possibility of his death and felt a great deal of regret if nothing else when he was promptly dropped down onto solid ground again, his head bumping against a small rock on the ground. He opened his eyes and saw a bright blue sky accented by green trees, a sight that bewildered Sendoa for these things were not seen on Xoryn. He quickly sat upright and regretted it instantly as his head ached.

He stood after recovering and before he could get a hold of his surroundings a sudden voice came to his ears. He turned towards it and saw a woman with white hair rushing towards him and for a moment thought her to be another Ice demon or half ice demon but he quickly discarded the idea when he noticed her clothes which no ice demon would wear.

Lightfinger looked anxiously at Zane. He didn't sense the danger, obviously, but he could definetly understand how troubled Zane was. He nodded and started to back off. He kept going back until he bumped into the wall. Looking around, he realized that this was a bad place to be. Now of course he wasn't scared, but he had some notion of self-preservation. Therefore, he wanted to get out of here. He bolted for the door.

He found his escape impaired, however, by a woman standing in the doorway. Flinging the door open, he paid no mind to the woman standing just behind him. He felt better now he was out of there. He stopped for a moment.

"What weapons are these?" wonders Xeri aloud. "Are they gnomecraft or created by the warforged?" The young drow marvels at his surroundings and looks over the others nearby. He laughs merrily at the kender. "Kender even inhabit this strange world. Hello, friend kender, from where do you hail?" he calls as he limps towards the hut, leaning on his weapon for support. The psion's eyes glow with a faint amethyst radiance that seems to pulse with the beat of his heart. The crystal spike topping the croesus echoes the light of his eyes.

Stizur studied the gun, it was smaller than his by some big, but a gun was a gun. He kept his weapon pointed in the window towards this new threat, but made no threatening gestures, that was the last thing he wanted to do. Instead his mind began to send out relaxed signals, maybe with luck they all would begin to calm down, but these where different races than he had ever encountered so he could only hope.

Suddenly another voice appeared, more words he didn’t understand, but he could read the mans emotions like a book, either that or he could hide them. Stizur let him be, he was in no position to take his vision anywhere else, but straight into the other mans eyes. Stizur highly doubted anyone but one of his own race could stare him down, never before has any being been able to look into his golden, pupil-less (sp?wth?) eyes for longer than a moment. But this was like no creature Stizur had faced before, he could be helpless, his gun might not even work!

Zane stared into the eyes of this new creature, it was as if nothing else around any longer exsisted. Only the eyes. Now it's a well known fact on Terra that if you stared long enough into someone's eyes you could see right into thier souls, or atleast a well known fact to peasents and superstistous villagers that would run him out of a town believing him to be part elfin.

Well, truth or not, Zane could definatly sense something within those golden orbs. A power, akin to that which he now felt within himself, yet different in a way that sent a chill ringer down his spine.

<What are you?> he had no idea what made him try to send his thoughts, very few people were even remotly sensitive to Charon telepathy. (Race Note: Charons are telepathic to one another but usally cannot communicate this way with other races, only on rare occassions has this been otherwise)

His thoughts were not filled with hostility or fear, but a simple curiosty edged with a catution that had keep him alive for so long...

Before Game: Things were going way to fast for Defigo. He was being chased by what he remembered as "Zombie Assasins". He couldn't tell where they were. He ran at a wall. He turned suddenly and saw the assasins. Three were looking at him with long dead eyes. "Layer upon layer, make your mark now! Haste!" Defigo ran head long the opposite direction. "Where do you think you're going? I think I'll use your corpse as a guard...." Cabal said. Suddenly, Defigo flashed bright white. "What the!??!!?" He disapeared.

In Game: Defigo was somewhere on the ground. He stood up and looked at himself. He had many cuts. Only two were serious. He walked for a while. He had no idea where he was. He saw many forms in the distance and crept up for a closer look.

Semara listened silently, drawing in everything she could. Kender, she had heard the name before from a dwarven armor smith in the market ward. 'Bloody thieves' he had called them. So she was on Krynn...backward little prime world but it definately could have been worse.

She froze as she felt something probing her mind, compelling her to peer inside. She frowned and shook off the images, looking around. Krishka...maybe the little man was a scion here with her. She heard talking in the house, soft whispers. Something was goin on and she hoped she wasn't going to be in the way...she didn't want to have to kill anyone she didn't have to.

Stizur’s mind was rapidly beginning to understand the situation, he could literally sense the emotions coming from the various people, hence he knew where people where and the general sense of what they where feeling. Confusion? People where as confused as him, for some odd reason no one knew what was going on, they where all in the same boat. Problem was, they all spoke a language Stizur had never encountered before, communication would be their biggest obstacle.

The man ahead of him seemed to speak to him in telepathy, it was a primitive form of mental speech, but he was capable! Without thinking Stizur began to relay what had been happening to him, showing pictures of the woods, the woman leaning on the door, the stream of water and all the people around that this man probably couldn‘t sense. Most of all, he tried to lay a message of trust, or curiosity and fear, to gain an ally in this situation would be invaluable. These images could do many things to a creature, help it understand, confuse, hurt it, or in some cases even kill it from a telepathic overload, but Stizur knew this being wasn’t that primitive.

As Zane continued to stare into the strange creature's eyes his mind was suddenly filled with various images and ideas, a confusing and mottled collection of emotions and memories sent by the creature. Zane shook his head to clear it before trying to communicate again.

<Slowely, I am not as powerful as your species> send Zane, the images came slower and clearer and soon he had put together a vague picture, <So, we both come from different worlds. I see, it's interesting that we would both be pulled to this world in particular and from seprate worlds, with no kind of previous connection between us>

Then the mercenary recieved the images of the others nearby, there were a number of them, but with the primitive communication it was immpossible for him to work out just how many the creature could sense.

<What is your name?> asked Zane, he knew he had to do somethinh soon about the others nearby, but an allie was definatly needed first, <I am Zane, what are you called?>

<Stizur> a single word. Zane almost laughed out loud, atlast, verbal communication. Er, sorta. Well it was a start.

<Ok Stizur, I'm not going to hurt you and I don't want any trouble> send Zane and to prove his point he slowely holstered his gun again and put his hands up, empty palms outwards...

Stizur felt safe, he had an ally in this unbelievably strange situation, maybe he could make it out alive. Stizur was patient, he would make this creature understand the danger they where in, for what else could this be but an ambush of some sorts. Quickly Stizur calculated in his mind, his race was innately intelligent, able to solve problems faster than most Humans can fathom. The creatures inside where of no threat, the one behind him gave off a casual aura, one of vast ignorance to the situation at hand. Their was also a being hiding behind a rock, most curious, though this creature was very unique as well.

He sent an image of a woman to the man in the window, then he spoke ~In your cabin, there is a third. Malevolence I sense. No one belongs here. We must unite!~ His words where calm and straight forward enough, he was happy with this development. He turned slowly and aimed his musket towards the being behind him, only one mental image went to this being.

As the figure turnd around Faye stopped short, her running steps coming to an abrupt halt, the smile falling from her face.

This wasn't her brother. In fact, this wasn't even one of the Aurian elves, one of her people. The figure seemed human, but his features had a plae tinge to them and his eyes were a brilliant cyan. Well... at least Faye thought it was male. The build hinted at it more than anything else, as well as this icy, masculine beauty that seemed to come along with it. She was speechless. What was she to say to this person anyway? She took a few steps back, clutching her bow. Not to mention that this creature didn't seem as if it could be the nicest in the world.

"I'm sorry," she said softly, but then she wondered... did it even speak her language?

Sendoa spent a moment looking at the woman that adressed him, measuring her up as a potential enemy. He figured that she could prove to be a threat but doubted that she was the type by the way she acted. He shrugged off the apologyand looked around his surroundings once more wondering how far away from his land he was and what it was that brought him here. He turned back to the strange woman and stared directly into her deep green eyes and spoke in a voice that matched his cold demeanor.

"Where am I and how did I get to be here?" He said, assuming that she was a native to this strange land but not expecting any helpful information.

OOC: Apologies for not posting. Had a few hospital appointments over the weekend :o

IC:
Achmede sighed as she walked unhurriedly through the forest. Although the air was calm, warm rays of lingering sunshine shimmering over her body, Achmede inwardly shivered. There was something about the air; despite it being warm, it felt to Achmede that there was a sharp crispness to it; biting at her exposed forearms and snapping at her ankles.

Shivering again, Achmede wondered what the hell was wrong with her. She hadn't felt right since last night, when a large gust of wind had shattered her bedroom window and completely engulfed her.
"What the hell is happening?" she wondered to herself. Pushing her long white hair out of her face, Achmede continued walking. Suddenly, she heard a faint whisper behind her; a clammer of voices, all speaking a foriegn language.

Spinning around, Achmede crouched slightly, pulling out her sword. Everything was completely deserted. Forcing herself to take some deep breath, Achmede criticised herself for being so scared so easily. Turning back around, she continued walking.

There it was again. The clammer of voices, whispered, childing her.
"Who's there?" Achmede demanded. Only the silence of the wind answered her. Walking slowly backwards, Achmede squinted into the distance. A strange blackness was overpowering the forest; inching closer and closer to her.

Turning back around, Achmede began running, faster than she ever had done in her life. The blackness was overpowering, inching closer to her. Suddenly it was upon her, a crushing suffocating force. Achmede tried to fight it, but it enclosed on her; a squeezing coccoon.

Collapsing, Achmede fell to the floor, the blackness seeping into her every pore. Closing her eyes, she allowed the unconciousness to overtake her.

~*~*~*~

Achmede woke up with a pounding headache; the pain between her eyes throbbing continiously. Groaning, she stood up and shook the pain away. Somehow, she wasn't home now.

"Then where the hell am I?" She saw a hut, partially lit, and an overpowering urge forced her to look in. There, she saw several people lingering inside. Looking back, she realised she knew where she was.

"Kyrnn," she whispered, eyes narrowing. How she hated worlds like this. Sighing, she turned back around, and sat down on a nearby rock, near the hut; crossed her legs, her flowing hair over her left shoulder

" My name's Achmede. Could anyone tell me where the hell I am?" she snapped, her eyes quickly colouring simmering confusion and anger.

OOC: Hope thats ok.

(OOC: It's fine, just a few changes. There is only Zane inside the hut at the moment, and he is standing in the open door, the rest are outside, either near the hut, close by the door, hiding behind a rock or still in the forest)

How many more are there? thought Zane, It's as if we've all been drawn here. And as if just the thought had made it so he knew that they were all in the same boat, even the Kender. They had all been drawn to this world, to this place. But why?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, upon a mountain top over looking a vally where in lay a lake that mirrored the sky and a forest that hide all from sight, an old and feeble man huddled within burnt and torn black robes staggers across the mess of ice and slush towards the ruined form a stone tower, now little more then a blackened and melted finger pointing accusingly towards the heavens.

Within his hands the man clutchs a golden staff, unaffected by the lighting that had struck it the night before. It glowed in the morning light as if absorbing energy from the sun and feeding upon it, and as the light brightened into a new day the arua of the staff began to surrond the old man and soon he was walking with more confidence, standing tall and a fire burning within his dark blue eyes.

"I have failed in my one chance for success" he muttered to himself, "I am a fail and doomed to die upon this mountain, my mind trapped in this broken body, kept alive only by this cursed staff!"

He shook the gold rod at the sun but he did not dare throw it away. For it was his only means of survival, and though he longed to end his suffering he feared what await him in the next life for more.

It is not over. Not yet. A voice entered his mind, the voice of the staff. It spoke with such power as to frighten the old mage, for that was what the old man was. We may have failed to awaken our true power but despite your incompetence I was able to bring to this world those that carry within them the spark.

"My incompetence!" the insult made the old mage forget his fear for the time being, "I was struck by lighting! How is that due to my incompet... Wait, others which carry the spark? Here?"

Yesss. I brought them across the void to this pathetic little world. Came the voice, it hissed into his mind.

"But why? Do you intend to leave me for another?!" the old man demanded, though his anger was defeated by the sheer fear he felt at such a prospect.

No you fool. We can use them. We can take the spark from them and use it to light our own fire. the voice seemed to laugh, though it was a hollow and chilling sound. We shall take thier souls into our own and make us complete!

"Yes, yes... Yes! I see! A wonderful plan! Truely a wonderful plan!" the old mage's laughter cackled across the valley, sending shivers of ice down the spines off all that heard it...

Faye's pointed ears pricked when the man spoke.
"I... I don't know where we are," she answered, suddenly taking some interest. "You mean... your not from here either? Did the same thing happen to you?"
Perhaps this person could be of some help after all and she took an eager step towards him, immediately latching onto anything that might give her some explanation ofr these strange happenings, who might possibly tell her how to get home and in her eagerness ignoring his cold tone.

When the man was looking around at their surroundings once more, she quickly reached inside her blouse and pulled out the necklace. It had hung around her neck by a black, leather cord and was a circle of black obsidian that fit perfectly in her palm. At times though, if standing in the sunlight, the middle looked as if it were faintly speckled with emerald.

She closed her hand over it and looked back at the man standing before her.

No one seemed to pay much attention to the drow among them. For that Xeri was grateful. He had lived years with prejudice for the vagrancies of his kind. Yes, there were several he had heard of that followed the god of thieves and the mistress of darkness, yet too many more followed the Spinner of Webs or the Crying Goddess. He couldn't really understand the others, so he changed tactics, and switched to kenderspeak. "So, how did you come to be here, little wanderer?" Xeri leaned against the wall of the hut, in some pain due to his fall.

Lightfinger was, if possible, even further astounded. First Zane. Then the man with no mouth. Now an elf with purple skin. He was fascinated, of course, he had only bolted on account of Zane's fear. Lightfinger had learned that if your average human warrior was afraid, then there was probably reason to worry about your self-preservation. Now that he had run a brief sprint, he was better off.

"So, how did you come to be here, little wanderer?"

Lightfinger took a breath. Ignoring the fact of his purple skin (he'd seen stranger things), he began to tell his tale. "It all began about 30 years ago. My mum and dad, well they loved each other very much and they did that thing that adults do, if you catch my drift, and well I was born, had an average childhood, really, swallowed a magic potion, did I ever tell you about that? I guess not, well then yes that's how my voice got to be this way, I went out for a while and adventured a bit, one day I was on the road, knocked unconscious out of the clear blue, don't you know, woke up a few hours later and then I found this place, that man, Zane, nice fellow, have you met him? Suppose not, he came and we talked, then this blue fellow with no mouth comes and talks-well without a mouth I guess he can't really talk- but anyway before I could reply Zane came up and was pretty scared which meant it was a threat to my self-preservation, so I ran, mind you I wasn't scared at all, and then I came out and here and saw you and told you everything and then here we are. Who are you?"

OOC: SInce Khirsah ignored me barelling her character over, I changed my last post a bit to reply to Kender Bryant. It's cool; not mad at all, just for the record :)

He ran a hand through his pale hair as he continued to examine his surroundings. He paused a moment when he saw a small curl of smoke in the distance.

Smoke. Where there is smoke there is those who made the fire. He thought to himself.

"The sooner I find out where I am, the sooner I can leave." He said as he started to walk in the direction of the smoke that he saw.

Achmede stretched and winced slightly. The pain in her head was still throbbing away. Whilst shaking her pain away, Achmede stood up and glanced down herself. Her tunic; now a pale blue colour with a dark blue collar was ripped slightly at the bottom; three gashes going horazontally accross.

"Where the hell did they come from?" she thought to herself. Surely they hadn't happened because of her fall? Did someone...or something grab her? As no-one had not answered her, she didn't really mind. They'd talk to her; sooner or later.

Reaching down, she grabbed her rucksack off the floor and lifted it slowly, before putting it over her shoulder. She felt a small tremor coursing through her body. It felt like it was inside every inch of her; running through her veins, muscles, bones; even her very blood.

"What the hell is happening to me? And where did all these people come from?" she wondered, accidentally out loud. Looking around, she thought no-one had heard her. Walking slowly towards the side of the hut, she saw a few people gathered near it.

Black skin? So there was something stranger than herself. Making her presence clear, she leaned in closer to the group; brushing out dirt out of her hair in the meantime.

"Would you mind if I joined this conversation? Something tells me your stories will be no more stranger than my own..."

Zane turned his attention from the weird telepathic creature and for the first time really looked over those that had been brought here with him. He sighed aloud, it was the same everywhere he went, again he would have to take charge, make the hard decisions and be held responisble when things ofcourse went wrong. Well someone had to do something.

"My name is Zane Striker, from the planet Terra" announced Zane in a loud clear voice, "I mean no one any harm and I understand what you must be feeling"

He looked at each of those gathered at the hut, he seemed to have gotten thier attention, even that of the little Kender thing.

"We have all been brought here against our will, I know not where we are, only that it appears it is not our world" he paused at the idignant little cough from Lightfinger, "With the exception ofcourse of Lightfinger. I know this is all very confusing but I know no more than any of you, but if we're going to survive in this place then we're going to need to work together"

Now would come the time for someone to challange him, for another to try to take charge. A part of him wish for nothing more than for someone to do so, but he knew in his heart that he was to lead this group. Now he waited...

Achmede stood nonplussed as the person called Zane Striker began to talk. After he had finished, she looked around at the people. For the first time since she arrived... here, somewhere other than her homeworld; she fully understood just how completely different they were with one another.

Achmede looked again at Zane and realised that he was about to announce himself as the leader of the group.

"Considering he was the first here [presumably,] perhaps he should lead?" she thought, looking around at everyone else.

"You want to lead us don't you Zane?" she said quietly, locking eyes with him. Slowly, without breaking eye contact, she slowly shook her head. No.

"I don't follow people very well Zane. You'd best come up with some good reasons as to why I, or anyone else should follow you. I understand this does sound cynical, but I'm presuming you arrived here like us all; so why should we follow you if even you; "great leader," has no idea as to where to go? Unless you do..."

" I challenge your leadership, but do not personally wish to lead anyone myself. I do hope that you will elect a deputy... should anything go... awry? Does anyone wish to challenge his authority?" she said, still talking low, not criticising anyone; her mind speeding by at an amazing speed.

Achmede gave Zane a small understanding smile. There was something about him which Achmede could relate to; in his heart, he was a born leader. She just hoped he could lead, and whoever who appointed deputy [a post she sorely wanted,] was able to keep up with Zane and the rest of the group...

Stizur tore off his mask in one fell swoop, this was a charade, no one knew anything more than he did, and being Captain of the SX-Division 113 should give him Veto over these …these ‘things. He looked to Zane as he claimed leadership and right there almost pulled out his musket again, how dare this insect claim leadership! Then suddenly be began to think, maybe he should stay to the shadows, become the enigma of the group, certainly that was the safe thing to do.

Suddenly a woman spoke up, she challenged his leadership but did not want the role, immediately he sent out waves of emotional anger, such a thing in his land would earn death on the spot. No honour, maybe he was to expect no honour from the rest of these creatures, he would have to watch his own back. As his golden pupils scanned the rest of the group he almost began to laugh, it was sad. All these creatures where so hideous, they had things on their face which he couldn’t fathom, where eyes not the only things one needed? Maybe these creatures drank and ate like the animals on his home world.

He played with his musket, loved the idea that it probably looked primitive, but when fired it made no sound and it travelled hard and faster than most guns, but again no one needed to know. Finally he decided that Zane should lead and he would be the one to back him, an ally was needed. He glared at the woman and spoke to her and her only, let the others be ignorant.

“Woman. If you challenge, then fight. Show honour. Show backbone. If you will not be leader. Then keep your appendage shut!~* He smiled to himself, clearly this woman had too big of an ego to not bite down a retort.

Zane could see this situtation getting out of hand very quickly, they were scared, angery and all dangerous in thier own ways. He had to do something before they could kill each other.

"Most of you are millitary in some way arn't you?" he asked in low voice that caught the attention of even the telepath, he was making sure to send is words aswell as speak them, "Your all high ranking officers from millitary world and you all want to kill each other over honour and glory, well I've lived through 300 years of war and I can tell you that never has killing another solved anything"

He looked into the eyes of each, a firey passion burning within those deep green eyes. He himself was a mercenary, trained by the finest Mercencery Unit to have exsisted on Terra, untill it too had been wiped out by war. His friends, those he considered a family, all gone. He let his hatred and frustration flow out and around him, he knew that atleast the telepath could feel his power. And then the strangest thing happened.

A lone bird swooped down upon the group and landed upon the cabin roof and looked at the them with a tilted head.

Zane looked at the speaker and shook his head.

"I never said you were all military, but that some of us are. Either way my point is the same, we need to work together" he explained in calm unthreating tones, "I and I disagree about being heard, I don't think there is anyone else around for leauges"

A puzzeled look could be seen on one or two faces and once more Zane sighed, ofcourse they had no idea how far a leauge was.

"A leauge is a far way away" he thought for a moment and then pointed to the closest of the mountains that ran to the west, "From here to that mountain is roughly a leauge"

It was then that man that had spoken up fell to the ground, Zane was at his side in an instant, knelling upon the soft grass and looking him over. He was hurt, but he'd live.

"He's injured, but not badly, I think the shock of coming here along with whatever caused these brusies and cuts has finally caught up to him. I saw a bed in the hut, can someone help me to get him in there?"

The Charon looked up as a two legged lizardman came walking round from behind of a rock and spoke to them. He shook his head in response to it's question.

"Your welcome to join us, but at of yet there isn't much of an us" he tried to lift the fallen monk, "Will someone frecking help me here?"

Achmede felt the waves of anger shimmering around her. Closing her eyes, she battled the waves. Defeated them, at least this time, Achmede glanced at the speaker who had tried to criticise her. Turning fully towards him, she chuckled in his direction; showing no fear at all; nothing about his powers of his criticism... at least, not on her face.

"Hush. I have honour and backbone; more than you could fathom. It seems like your ego is too big to fit that hidious head of yours. Your right, I do not want his leadership, and yes, I would fight you. But I do not see you challenging his leadership," she snapped, locking gazes with him.
" I have no shame about dying; dying is a thing only fools fear. And I am no fool. But no, fighting, this time is not the solution. Not unless you want to be beaten by a woman. No, we must help each other; and find out why we are here. Before its too late."

Ignoring the man for a while, Achmede walked over to help Zane. Together, they lifted the man off the floor. Glancing at him, Achmede felt a small shiver run through her. Whatever had attacked the man; it had been extremely fierce. Carrying him towards the bed, they laid him down softly.

Leaving Zane with the man, Achmede wandered back to her side of the hut, purposely ignoring the person who had criticised her. Who was he do say anything? Pushing her hair out of her face, Achmede went silent. It was time to do a lot of thinking...

Faye frowned when he began to walk away. She didn't feel completely comfortable following him, but she didn't feel any better staying here by herself in an unfamiliar, seemingly parallell world. The Aurian elf only hesitated for a second before hastening after this man. She kept on being stuck by the resemblance there was from the back between him and her brother.

The pulse of the trees life around her was strange... different, it almost had a foreign sorta of taste. Where the trees let in the patches of sunlight, the rays were bright and blinding to her dark green eyes which were used to the diffused, twilight sun and moons of Aube. She was one with the nature, dressed in dark green and brown, and a shadow of silence as she glided after the figure, hoping that, somehow, he would be able to help her get back home.

Her obsidian necklace was clasped tightly in her fist, and she stole a glance at it as she hurried along, wondering if there was any connection between it and this strange world that she had suddenly appeared in.

Sendoa continued to follow the faint curl of smoke seen in the distance, faintly aware that the woman was following him. For what reason she was doing so was not seen by him but he did not care much, it was her choice.

He looked back and noticed that her eyes were having difficulty adjusting to the brightness then looked skyward comparing the sun to the one of Xoryn. Though this new sun was brighter in color, shining yellow light instead of red, it was roughly as bright and large as his homeworld's. Shaking off the momentary blindness from looking at the sun he walked all the quicker in an impatience to find someone to give him information.

After a short while of walking he exited the vast growth of trees to see a large lake, sunlight shining off it's waters. On the other side of the lake was a wooden cabin from which the smoke came from Sendoa assumed seeing as he could not longer see the smoke that he followed. He started to walk along the shore of the lake towards the cottage but soon remembered his follower. "There should be someone in there, perhaps they can give us more information." He said over his shoulder and continued along the shore.

Quick summary, Kirisah has dropped out, so forget she was ever there, Keioson is currently unconcisous inside the hut on a small pallet on the floor, Mystical and Iztoz have arrived at the hut and gone through the whole where are we. Everyone, with exception the of Keioson, is gathered outside the hut and around Zane who stands before them with Malys at his side, the pair have made a mental connection so that he understands everything that is spoken and thier compined mental abilites make it possible for him to communicate telepathically with the others. We've all discussed where we are and have come to the conclussion that it appears to be the world known as Krynn, a world very little is known about except that is a god-run world on a primitive scale without firearms and uses magic drawn from a celestial source. No ambient or sorcerous magicks work here and those that had access to those powers on thier homeworlds no longer do so. If you have any further questions then please PM me. The reason I post this here and not in the planning thread is because I know that everyone will see this here.)

BIC: Zane stood upon a flat gray rock, the telepath Stizur stood at his side, steadfast in his decision that Zane should lead them. The others, including the lizard creature, since named a Bangaa and the two new comers, stood in a rough semi-circle around the rock, waiting for someone to speak.

"I know some of you don't agree with my taking charge of the situtation and I understand your concerns, but for now something needs to be done and no one else seems to have any better ideas" he spoke in a loud commanding voice, no trace of fear or doubt to be hear, except to Stizur whom heard not only the words but felt them.

"Some of us are injured and healing must be made a priotory" he continued, "The monk is injured and may be so for some time unless one of us heals him, now I need your help, do any of you know healing magicks?"

It was a long shot, and Zane knew it. And then even if one of the odd group did have some sort of healing abilites it would only work if it didn't need to draw on the native magicks. As a godly world Zane knew that only clerics would be able to heal. He hated such systems, bloody nusisance it was. But it was properly just the gods way of feeling needed...

Pain. Mind- burning, head- splitting pain.

Achmede couldn't open her eyes, the pain was too excruciating.
"What the hell had happened to me?" she wondered. Groaning, she managed to raise into a seating position, then immediately regretted it. A small trickle of blood ran from her left temple; presumably where she had hit her head on the cold, stone floor.

"How the hell did fall into unconciousness?" she also thought. Shakng her head, she managed to walk out of the hut, swaying ever so slightly. Not making it fully, she positioned herself just outside the doorway, making sure that she could continue listening to the conversations, whilst also not blocking the doorway back inside the hut.

She glanced at Zane long enough to make her decision. Nodding her head, she spoke.
"I apologise for challenging you Zane. It does seem that you are the one to lead us,"
"I just hope he doesn't die before we all leave here," she thought, not saying it out loud. Swaying again, she backed to the side of the hut.

Leaning against it, she felt herself slowly sliding down the wall; until she was once more back on the floor. The pain was terrible, it was if her very muscles were trying to tear out of her skull. Breathing deeply, the pain slowly subsided to a dull throb. Once more she stood, giving everyone a small smile.

"I have a feeling that if people could perform healing magicks on their homeworld, they will not work here. I don't know much about Krynn, but the rumours I have heard is that its a god-run world; extremely primitive. My suggestion will be to make the monk as comfortable as possible, leave him and find proper medical help,"

"Look at him," she said, throwing a hand in the monk's direction, "He's very weak and extremely injured. If we bring him along, he'll only hamper the journey. Leave him and then come back with help. "

Turning to Zane, she gave him a small sneer.
"As leader, its your responsibility and ultimately your decision. But this group is your first priority... not this injured monk..."

Stizur stood glaring at the assorted group of species before him each as unique as the next, his arms where crossed in displeasure at the currently out of control situation. He listened to his partner speak without any interruption and showed great patience, he also managed to collect many varying emotions from the creature’s, but he almost wish he hadn’t they where a pitiful lot. Even the leader showed fear, though it was buried deep and barely traceable, would the animals of this planet be able to pick up on it?

The man with the pistol spoke up for a healer in hopes their would be one to help the monk, though it was a futile request and a waste of time, surly this leader will not want to waste time staying at a cottage! Stizur shrugged he was in no rush and could be sustained without food or water, but if this group slowed him down too much…

Stizur smiled inwardly, it probably would happen sooner or later and the natural instincts of his kind would drive him away from these incompetent creatures. Drive him to seek a way home, to seek glory in battle, to leave this world trembling in his wake. If he couldn’t make it home…well those thoughts are better left untouched.

Faye watched the young man give his short speech, but gradually got distracted. The others that were gathered around her didn’t seem the friendliest of figures and practically all she sensed from them was radiating aloofness, as if they all thought themselves better than the others. She sat down, her back against a rock and brought her knees up to her chest, hugging them. She suddenly wished that she could just sink into the ground, that she could hide herself away from this hostile world, this world of bright lights and vivid colors. Never had she seen a green that was so vibrant, or a blue that was so crystal clear. The colors in Aube were all soft pastel shades that blended in to make a world of dreamy blues, pale pinks, and twilight violets.

Suddenly she raised her head, her smooth brow furrowing. She smelt approaching danger on the wind, and felt an incredible fear grip her heart. Standing up abruptly, she began backing away from the line of trees, where she felt the danger emitting from. Looking behind her, she realized that they were cornered between the forest and the banks of the lake.
“I believe,” she said in a soft voice, slightly unsure that anyone was listening. “I believe that we should move away from the forest… now.”
Faye felt something pulsing in her hand, looking down, she realized that at the center of the black, obsidian circle that she held a green light was throbbing, like a steady heartbeat.

OOC: Sorry that I haven't been around, it's been a crazy week and all. I still want to be in this, just for now there's really no need for me to speak up. Just keep going along, and I'll jump in to do the kender small thing, when and if I need to. :)

(OOC: Harthan, kenders are welcome to speak up at anytime. You might be what's needed to brake the tension)

Zane turned at the girl's voice, something about moving away.

"We've already spoken about that, we can't move untill everyone is ready to be moved" he said camly, perhaps the girl was an idiot, then he heard a noise.

An ear splitting keen filled the air, seeming to come from everywhere at once. Zane grabbed at his head and covered his ears. There was something coming, he could almost sense them moving through the trees. Suddenly they burst into the clearing. Large shaggy beasts, somewhat like a cross between a bear and a wolf. One threw it's head back and let losse the awful keen again.

Zane drew his gun and began yelling commands, but very little could be heard over that awful sound. He aimed his gun at the creature and fired. A single shot. A burst of pure green energy blasted into the beast and for a moment it stood there, motionless and silent. Then it hit the ground with a thud, dead.

Stunned by the death of one of the beasts, the other creatures were silent. This was thier chance!

"Everyone! On me! Defensive patteren!" he roared, he had no idea if anyone would listen, but he holstered his gun and drew his sword. The creatures were coming again, more this time...

Achmede rose swiftly when she noticed the hideous creatures appear. All pain forgotten, Achmede brushed her hair out of her face and pulled out her sword. Realising that the creature hadn't seen her yet, Achmede glanced around, seeing if she could make the most of her enviroment.

Nearby, a tall tree stood alone. Underneath it stood two of the creatures, breathing deeply. Skirting around the hut, Achmede ignored the fighting behind her and ran towards the tree. Making sure to keep out of the creature's eyeline, Achmede sneaked towards the tree.

Taking a deep breath, Achmede raised her sword... then slammed it into the tree. It shook, creaked and groaned due to the immense force. Achmede looked at the tree, slowly swaying. Then, gravity took hold and it collapsed to the ground, crushing one of the creatures; with an immense crash: shaking the ground around her.

The other, more by instinct than skill, jumped back, the tree missing them by inches. Snarling, the creature rushed towards Achmede.

"Crap," she thought, taking the sword out of the trunk and getting ready to fight. The creature rushed towards her, faster than she anticipated and flew past her. The immense wind behind it knocked her off her feet; landing hard on the floor. The creauture turned around and looked at her.

It's hidious mouth slowly opened, revealing a row of gleaming white teeth. It began making a slow, but repetivive sound; almost like a growl.

"It's laughing at me," Achmede suddenly realised. How the hell could a creautre laugh at her? No, how could it even laugh?! Her eyes flashed black and she cupped her hand; beckoning the creature foward. The creature bared its teeth, and ran towards her. Achmede waited right until the last moment, before dropping to one knee, and holding her sword fowards.

The creature had no chance. Almost delibrately, it impaled itself on her sword. The force thrusted the sword deep into the creatures stomach, showering Achmede with its blood. Still using it's force, Achmede hoisted the creautre over her, slamming it into the ground.

Getting back up, she brushed herself down without hassle, then looked around. All someone had to go was call her; and she'd be there to help them without question...

OOC: Sorry it took me a while but here's one for you to enjoy.

IC: Sendoa had listened patiently while the others talked, deciding that he might as well work with them as long as they help him get back to where he belongs. When the creatures attacked Sendoa was eager for some excitement and quickly drew his dark long sword.

He ran two fingers along the blade and muttered a few words that sounded hollow and ancient in an attempt to cast a freezing charm on the long sword. As he finished speaking the words his blade remained the same with no difference that could be noticed, he looked at the blade in surprise as he realized that his magic failed him in this strange land. With a slight curse he readied himself for battle and hoped that these beasts would prove to be easy to slay.

One of the creatures hurled itself at him, throwing it's entire body down on him, with a quick motion Sendoa was barely able to side step out of it's path. Spinning around to face the monster, Sendoa brought his sword down with both hand gripping it, bringing it down at full force at the beast but was only able to slice a thin cut along it's leg as it bounded out of range. Once again it charged at him, slashing wildly with it's claws and again Sendoa barely managed to move away but this time he was not left undamaged.

Three claw marks ran across his shoulder, oozing dark purple blood that was a mix of his red human blood and blue demon blood. He shouted in pain and fury as rage overcame him, for a moment he felt deep hatred and feared that he would revert into his demonic from but the rage seeped away from him leaving his mind clear and calm. He felt great surprise again but also relief for while his demonic form was more powerful it was also a side of him he never wanted to see.

Quickly he turned back to the battle with renewed vigor as the beast went toward him once more. With a cool, smooth motion he ducked beneath the monster moving towards its side, brought his long sword above his head and with every ounce of strength, brought it down upon it's neck. As the beast's severed head rolled from the collapsing body, Sendoa ran to support the others, smiling as he went.

Defigo stared at the beasts for a second. Behemoths? Bull Demons? Nah, something from this world.."Land of all lives, supress all rebels! Stop!" A red globe formed around a beast that was comming at Defigo. The beast stopped, frozen in time. "Strip away the ground with glistening blades! Thunder!" A single lightning bolt struck the creature. The creature wasn't dead yet, much to Defigo's sorrow. "Destruction of-yikes!" Defigo was about to cast a spell when another beast came at him. He managed to roll out of the way.

Defigo was running around with the beast snapping at his tail. "Shatter your chilly sharp blades! Blizzard!" Defigo casted while on the run. A mid-sized crytal made of ice fell on the beast. This beast wasn't so lucky and, disoriented from the hit, crashed head first into a tree, snaping its neck.

After fighting, Achmede skirted around the other fighting, keeping out an ear for anyone who needed help.

Whilst rummaging in her rucksack for some new clothes, Achmede's attention was sorely on her bag; for once not on her surroundings. She heard a small growl from behind her and started to pull her sword out.

Too slow, the creature knocked her sword flying; landing near the rest of the fighting. The creature hit her on her side, sending her flying into the inn with immense force. Groaning, she tried to stand up; only for the creature to knock her back down again.

Soon, it was over her, it's foul breath rushing onto her face. Using all her strength to keep its teeth away from her, Achmede grunted and shook with the heaviness of the creature. She felt her engery slipping away and knew she didn't have long.

"Quick! Somebody help me!" she shouted, the long, rough teeth getting closer by the second...

A cloud of razor-sharp crystal spikes shred the creature attacking Achmede. Xeri appears in the doorway of the hut, leaning against the jamb, his croesus in hand, it's crystal shedding an amethyst radiance that outshine's the faint light in the hut. The drow kineticist's breathing is labored, but he manages to keep his feet as he sends yet another spray of crystals at the monster. "Move, now!" he manages to gasp out. The monster's attention turns to the psion. "Get away while it's focused on me!"

Stizur turned and stared into the outline of charging beasts, he watch with mild bemusement as the warriors around him engaged in fighting. The beasts roared at him, but never came close enough to harm him, creatures with such simple minds could be steered away through thought alone. He walked around the battle taking it all in, basking in his emotions he let his race’s battle lust surge over him. With a noise that would be identical to an electrical outburst , Stizur drew his musket and sword in one swift motion, a heavy golden aura surrounded his body as he charged into the fray.

He reached two beasts who where about to lunge at a person, though in this battle lusting stage he couldn’t tell who he was saving. His sword dug deep into the neck of one of the beasts and it tumbled to the ground, as the beast lay their motionless Stizur rolled to his feet and aimed his musket towards the second creature and let loose a shot that made no sound, but exploded the creature in front of him. Sensing danger, Stizur turned around deftly and was bowled over, but he had prepared himself and simply rolled backwards giving the beast enough momentum to go thru the window and into the cabin.

Swiftly Stizur jumped onto the ledge of the window and sent mental images of confusion and fear into the beast, who was abruptly driven into madness. Cries of surprise and horror drew his attention away from his killings, it was someone in trouble, fools! As quick as his body let him Stizur climbed the side of the cabin and crawled along the roof until he made his way the other side, invisible to everyone else.

He raised his sword into the air and began to send out strong signals of fear, he would draw the beasts to him, save the others and maybe get out of this area. He tried so hard to build up his natural source of electricity, but this realm simply made him…weak. He sent out one last blast of fear and readied himself for the worst, for death even, though he had no plans to die in this realm…

It was then that Stizur’s attention went to a bird staring at him in such a calm and cold demeanour in this battle filled scene, did animals on this world enjoy bloodlust? Just as he turned to face the pack of beasts he had his feet blown out from under him, he looked up in time to dig his musket into the mouth of the beast who had felled him. With a scream of pure rage, of pure frustration, he pulled the trigger…

A ear splitting bam filled the air and reverbrated across the lake and into the moutains. Zane spun on his heels to see the telepath creature fireing his firearm into the beasts. The weapon was pretty effective, he had to admit.

A low growl signalled another attack from the side, Zane dropped to the ground, rolled onto his back and lunged upwards with his sword, and skewered the creature. Blood poured down his blade and over his hands. The stench of it making the Charon gag. Pushing the creature off him, he climbed back to his feet and took stock of the sitution, it seemed they were winning... for now.

"I knew I should have been a monk!" Defigo said as he accidently caught the attention of two beasts. Both ran at him "Land of all lives, suppress all rebels! Stop!" Fortunatly, the beasts were close together and Defigo was able to target both of them. A red globe ingulfed each beast. A ribben of what looked like small stars encircled the globe. Both vanished and the beasts didn't move, not even breathing. "Destruction of nature, gather in flame! Fire!" both beasts were lit on fire.

"I'm not a monk," gasps the drow. "I'm a psion. A kineticist, to be exact. Please don't make me talk further. It hurts like Nine Hells!" The dark elf is having a lot of trouble breathing, indicating a punctured lung. He leans against the doorframe, but it apparently isn't enough. He soon loses his balance and tips over backwards, his weapon crashing to the ground beside his prone form.

After being helped by Xeri, she moved away from the battle and sat on a rock. Her heart was beating uncommingly fast and her breath came in short bursts. Realising she was in shock, Achmede took several deep breaths to calm herself down.

Her concentration never normally wavered away from a battle. What the hell was she doing, getting changed mid-fight? Sighing, she glanced around again for any sign of activity near her, but the battle was slowly dying down.

A russle behind her made her glance back up from her rucksack. Not taking any chances, Achmede withdrew her sword again and stood up. The hut was to her right, and the forest was now directly in front of her.

"Anyone there?" she shouted into the forest. The only answer was the rustling of leaves. Edging closer, Achmede continunally glanced around her, her senses now peaked; listening for anything out of the ordinary.

Another russle up front caught her attention, then the snapping of twigs behind her. Someone was obviously trying to scare her - and doing a good job of it. Hating herself for feeling such human emotions, Achmede stepped into the forest.

Suddenly a thick arm clamped around her neck. Achmede tried to struggle but couldn't; the grip was amazing. Punching the attacker's stomach momentarialy caught them off guard, but they manovoured themselves away from her flailing arms. Sensing unconciousness not far off, Achmede managed to get her necklace from her pocket out.

Dropping it onto the floor, she hoped that someone would find it, before the group left the hut. A shout began building up in her throat. She shouted at the top of her voice before a sharp pain went through her skull, a bright light... then Achmede collapsed to the floor again.

~*~*~*~

The attacker glanced down at Achmede's unconciousness body and threw away the stone they had used to knock her out. Glancing back out of the forest, they moved slowly to her rucksack. Rummaging through it, they removed her food and hungrily ate it all. Emptying the rucksack completely onto the floor, they spread Achmede's possessions about.

Satisfyed that Achmede wouldn't be wanted for a while, they went back to her; hiding her body near a tree just in the forest. Smiling slyly, the attacker ran off back to its hiding place. The mysterious group had strangely arrived, and the attacker felt it was his duty to watch them very closely...
