I probably can't produce this for my current game for it wouldn't work with the already epic plotline. Maybe perhaps a future game.

What about a Voyage of Discovery?

Adventurers representing various parts of Ansalon are brought together after the end of the War of Souls. (Or end of the war of the lance 60 or so years prior i mean its open which ever is more doable) As a joint venture of various kingdoms and nations in a momentary sign of peace. The groups are brought together go forth from Ansalon and Sail the seas to discover the lost continents of Krynn. Rumors of Taladis, but no one knows the true locations.. Or continue to sail towards the Continent where only the Brutes rule or the other lost landmasses (That hasn't been written about yet) Perhaps your classic fantasy lands of the lost are there. A land of Dinosaurs and Bakali/Jarak Sinn are the only humanoid living there. Or a completely new land also inhabited by those like those of ansalon. What if this voyage triggers an evil civilzation to want to find Ansalon and invade it. Whatever...... But There is great possibility of various adventures overland perhaps shanghaing themselves into others causes (Like the League of Minotaurs vs the Thenoi War) Or perhaps as was one of the supposed motivations of the voyages here in Rl, perhaps the spreading of the True gods to these foreign lands (like missionaries) Even though they probably have the gods there just named differently.

anyway what do you think?

Going with your missionary idea. Perhaps the Ansalonian group tries to force their gods upon the inhabitants of the new landmass only to find out that the gods of the natives are the same gods after both sides have bitterly fought with each other and many have died.

How about having the players land on a continent inhabited by the same races that you find on Ansalon. Only the gods (maybe the same) sorta shuffled the three races, ogres, elves and humans before handing down their initial gifts. That way the players would think themselves superior in the same fashion they would on Ansalon, leading to grave difficulties. Yeah, I know it sounds silly, but anyways... :D

I could really see the Brute's homeland being a prehistoric "lost world" style place. That could be interesting.

As it happened in our world, people went on these voyages either to find new ways around the far side of the world, or search for spices or gold etc etc etc.

What countries perhaps either war torn Dragonarmy occupied (if after the WOTL) or those picking up the pieces after the War of souls and the decline of the Overlords power would commission adventurers and explorers for this particular mission. As said earlier on the Missionary possibilities, the gods return perhaps sending forth missionaries to try to expand the belief of the Gods outside of Ansalon instead of trying the reconvert the people they feel will eventually come around or perhaps is still looking to mystism and prefers to not worship what they feel are deities that abandoned them.

What would be the motivations of a evil Kingdom or group of Kingdoms (like the Territories run by the dragonarmies) To have a voyage of discovery? Perhaps riches, slaves, spreading of evil religions, creation of non continental armies to take ansalon, or even more land to conquer?

Treasures and riches are probably the best incentive for exploration from across ansalon since ocean voyage don't particularly seem of great importance. Perhaps having a ship that was blown off course by a storm and stumble upon the mysterious lands then return with tales of their voyage might give some the incentive to seek it out. Especially if great promises of treasures or things that would spark interest was discovered.

Nothing likes tales about a large pyramid with a massive diamond on top to get some greed running.

Well I do remember the Heros of Defiance boxset from the limbo years of DL. It mentioned a few interesting things.
1. That some the Ergothens are descended from a people from overseas that settled on what would be Ergoth's northwest region (now Northern Ergoth).
2. One of the Aklite (sp?) pirate chiefs claims to know of land or island to the west of Ansalon and wanted to mount an expedition to raid it.

Another supplement mentioned a point in Ergoth's history were a fleet of an unnamed race of giants from attempted to invade Ergoth back during the Age of Dreams but were stopped thanks to some wizards of high sorcery (Ansalon's various scholars were unable to get any idea where the giants came from.
